Did someone say wild theories? *pounces*
I posted some new Solas-related stuff on this thread, for the theory-minded. Didn't seem important enough to repost here: just how Balance and Harmony work in terms of the Song, and what Solas' big purpose in DA Universe seems to be.
Haha I do love your wild theories, even if I can't understand some of them because you are wayyyyyy too smart for me. Xd

I love tea, myself. Now every time I have a cup I get a little extra kick out of it. Like it's a little revenge on Solas (or PW) or something. ![]()

This is great! I agree with your basic premise: that it was raised intentionally. (The "Fall" from Eden was a willing one, done with the intent of creating a meaningful world for Mythal's various Children to exercise free will and choice.) But I have some thoughts to consider on the rest: immortality, the Quickening, the war for the literal Soul of Dragon-Egg-Thedas: how it all might work together. Better to post them on the other thread, or here?

No, you're right! I take it back. I had a vanilla chai once that actually tasted good. It was a totally shocking experience. ...and sadly, one that I've never been able to duplicate. bleh.
Vanilla can be tricky. If you liked the chai tea though, I highly reccomend trying a box of black chai tea! Tazo makes a pretty good brand. You just make it like a normal cup of tea, following the instructions, but leave a little room on top for the milk. Splash some milk in, add as much honey as you like. And you're good to go!
I suspect Solas is the kind of person that drops some tea leaves into some water, forgets about it, reheats it, and then questions his life choices.

Is there a secret? A super-special thing people do that somehow makes it not taste like dead leaves?

Love this song. Love the video, fits it perfectly. Except its waaaay to dark. The black border shadow thing makes it very difficult to see anything. Half the time I'm squinting and can't make out what's going on. I've seen a few of these now with the same issue. Great songs, great editing. Only problem is visibility. Other than that, its awesome.Posting this more because this deserves a million views.

Ugh, don't say that- you're definitely smart, that just means I'm terrible at explaining. =w= I channel Dagna a lot trying to get things out: my brain gets it, but words are jello.

Well, apparently NSFW stuff got other threads shut down before. I have no idea of the veracity of those statements. Personally, I think all of the stuff you have posted to be on the mild side. I guess we should all just be more careful with the tags and labeling.

I was wondering if anyone could give me any insight. I saw this video where you encounter Mihris in the Hinterlands.
I believe the dialogue was a bit different if you are Dalish. In this case, Mihris is going on about her superior "knowledge" in comparison to a Shemlan about the veil and magic and Solas says "Ma harel, da'len". From what I understand that means 'my deception little one'. She then reacts in a frightened manner. I don't really understand this interaction. Then she goes on to call him a "flat ear", which makes me think she doesn't really fear him. The only conclusion that I can come up with is that she doesn't know what to make of a "city elf" that speaks elvehn and is perplexed, not frightened, by his response. His answers to her are always sarcastic and a bit 'haha, if you only knew'. If this is the same interpretation that other people got, it gives us a bit more insight into what he is a bit perturbed with the Dalish and their pride for knowing "so much".
Does anyone have any thoughts?

If ancient elves were anything like the Last Unicorn movie, they will feel like their body is dying all around them... afraid of their mortal body... Retreated to their city...and then cry about it... And instead of singing "now that I'm a woman", they'll sing "Now that I'm a shemlen".

Ah I love The Last Unicorn
But I don't think the quickening is something that affected all the elves all at once. Abelas and and his fellow guardians definitely seem to be immortal unless killed; and I am guessing Solas is as well. So the question would be why did it affect some and not the others? I wonder if Solas did really lead the slaves in a rebellion maybe the quickening was a result of that somehow and only the ones still in service to a god (or in Solas' case still a god) would retain their immortality?
On an unrelated note, Sera just asked me about what happened to my face (because I had the vallaslin removed)... which was sort of funny, sad, and also a really nice touch on BioWare's part. I wasn't really expecting that to get referenced by anyone ![]()

I think he's calling her out for being deceptive because she talked more about what happened to her clan when she speaks to a dalish inquisitor.

After seeing that comic that someone posted a few pages back (which made so depressed that I almost got out my Team Pessism flag again), this really lifted my spirits...which is good cause Solas likes spirits or whateva.
