I mean this is not romantic, but it's also possible that Solas did invade the inquisitor's privacy. This is because his powerful magic is in the hands of someone he does not know at all. He needed to make sure this person is a decent person in order to figure out his next steps. It's another case in which he values the ends over the methods.

That could be true. It's hard to tell what's going on in that ancient mind of his.

And see how well it goes for him? Some party members are hesitant and other outright dislike him for what he is. I mean Cole is unique because he's a spirit and he doesn't understand privacy even when some party members tell him to stop. My first playthrough I wasn't fond of Cole because it came across as creepy but I later grew fond of him. His mind reading it's just part of who he is I guess and I've come to accept him even though I recognize he shouldn't be telling the whole damn world your most personal thoughts.

As far as I know, no.  No fade shadow, no abomination-conduit.

I think so.  It's just a lot harder to do.  Remember those crazy blood mages in DA2 that were turning the Templars into abominations?  Cullen was part of that quest.

It would have been fun to fight a giant octopus-like creature or (sorry arachnophobics) a giant spider. The dragons became pretty predictable after the 2nd one.

Good question. I was under the impression that anyone with a perma-link to the Fade could become a victim. The mark might make a non-mage Lavellan unique in that case? I dunno.

Whoa, that's interesting.  Then again, whoa- they still have the conduit.  Kind of.  Templars have the hole where the fade-shadow should be.  The connection, without anything there to actually draw on.

Holy crap.  I hadn't considered it,but that conduit has to be how Tranquility works.  It suddenly all makes sense.  By the time the mage's spirit-shadow connection is restored, it's been weakened, shaped into more of a reflective spirit rather than a 'self', so when Tranquility is reversed, at first they're just... a mess.  One that's worse the longer they've been Tranquil.   But they can get stronger again, just like Cole.   Thank you for pointing that out!

That doesn't mean that she won't find him in his dreams. She's done it before. Personally I imagine my mundane Lavellan trying her damndest to reach him on both sides of the veil. I picture that her need to find him is just great enough to have her nipping at his heels every time he dares to fall asleep. It doesn't matter how far away she is in the waking world, in his dreams, she'll be two steps behind. She's the sound of footsteps in the deserted memory of an ancient ruin, and a familiar voice calling his name. He has to wake up or she'll find him.

I'll bet it's agony for he who likes to live in dream, no? I'm overprotective of my Tiger Festival. That's bad news for you, Dread Wolfie. If she can't sleep well since you left, I'll be damned if you're enjoying any lengthy naps in my headcanon until she finds you again in both worlds.

 

LOL.  I'm a little overprotective of my Lavellan too, but mine is better off focusing her attention toward the Inquisition than going after Solas in the Fade.  So the tack that she takes isn't looking for Solas, but trying to figure out what Solas was up to and what he was looking for.  She thinks that looking for him directly is not going to work, but searching for whatever he was searching for has a chance of leading her to him.  So she scours his room, his books, all the clues he left behind.

 

I'm also bracing for the possibility that my Lavellan won't go along with whatever Solas is planning, and even if there is the possibility of a happy ending by joining him, she won't take it.  She loves him and values his perspective, but the Inquisition is her clan now, and the people within its reach are at least partially her responsibility.  She can't just abandon all that for him, especially if what he has planned will cause a lot of grief for the normal people in Thedas.

Lol. Yeah I remember that. Kitty is all like "If you help me I'll leave." and I was thinking "Like heck I'm gonna trust you, my Amell knows better than to make deals with demons and that puzzle looks way too complicated!". Kitty causes me to kill the little girl. Oh crap. Reload!

Cole has some interesting dialogue in Crestwood, if you haven't taken him yet.  I took Team Weekes: Iron Bull, Cole, Solas.

 

For archer, you can actually make any of the three specializations work.  The actives in assassin aren't as good, but the passives are handy.  Tempest archer works surprisingly well with all the CD reductions and shenanigans in the fire and lightning flasks.  I went artificer for the traps and team passive bonuses.

Sophia Dryden was an abomination too.  Well I think she was anyways.  Or was she just a possessed corpse?

 

Anyone can accept a demon's offer, it's just mages are at the most risk because of their direct link to the fade.  Plus circle mages are forced to put that to test with the Harrowing.

 

The blood mages in DA2 are the first that I remember that were forcing demons into people.  

 

Basically anyone can become an abomination, not just mages.  But that's gonna start a totally off-topic discussion so I will shush!

Haha, I'm listenig to Clannad's "I Will Find You" and found that it explains my Lavellan's current feelings completely. She's a bit stalkish after being dumped like that, her pride being wounded and all. xD

I like taking Cole because of his interactions in Old Crestwood with a certain someone. Keeping it vague because I don't know how much you've seen and I don't want to spoil it for you.

I've done it twice before , but I'm sure there are things I've missed by taking other chars.
