Nah, it just eventually breeds resentment, especially when everyone else on the BSN gets to celebrate their preferred romance, or finally come to terms with the fact that they can't have their preferred romance.  Meanwhile Solas and Blackwall fans, for example, who have been left to subsist on scraps and dust as it is- in regards to general character info and images- are left in limbo.

 

Most of the people in the Blackwall thread, and in this one are extremely nice and patient and gracious, but frustration and even resentment is eventually inevitable and quite understandable. 

Yeah, it seems even worse for the Blackwall fans.  Has there even been any information on him recently?  I can't remember. Also, I too constantly reload this thread or go to the Twitter thread and come back here to see if there's anything new.  Even though I know there won't be...

Yeah, I can't even remember the last time we had any new Blackwall info    It could be worse, at least we have our fave's VA!

The most recent Bwall info I remember is the tweets of how he has talks with Solas and how he reminds people of their dads and what team combos he'd be a part of (the titles).

Nope not one bit, and it sucks.  His poor thread often drops into page *3*, and many people in that one thread talking about who they like and don't like so far are saying that they aren't that interested in him simply because they don't know enough about him to be interested.

 

Poor, neglected Blackwall.  (I said I already gave up hope for him being a LI, but secretly that isn't true).  -__-

Yeah, I'm glad we at least know of Solas' voice actor. Poor Blackwall fans know hardly anything about him at this point 

 

At this point I kind of wish they did a complete LI (didn't that happen for DA2?) info dump instead of staggering the releases like this. Though, that's just my personal opinion.

I really don't care if they confirm the race gating right now, just confirm the final 2 LIs. That's all I want.

Why have 8 romances and not have a het female gamer option? Cullen is an npc, iron bull is a niche (possibly race gated). They wouldn't do that. After all this hard work, they wouldn't forget us. Solas is the last option we have for a companion LI. The romances are suppose to be more real and deeper. I'd be so destroyed if we were forgot when they had all this time. Our only choice a Qunari? Guys. They are keeping Solas under wraps for a reason. I've waited years for this game. Ill be really upset if everyone else gets ton of choices and all we get is an npc.
Basically, I think they are leaving the best for last. Solas will be an LI. We will have equal options. We will get to play our gender and not be forced to play a male to enjoy the game.
Keep hope people. 2 slots left. One has to be Solas. Varric is taken, black wall is to old and a niche. Also look at all Patrick Weekes has tweeted about a romance he's writing. It's totally Solas. Plus Allen wouldn't of been so into our threads if it was just to laugh at our misery. The fact he is so into our thread is a huge give away that Solas is a LI.

Solas Thread is Best Thread, even when we're frustrated.

 

On a semi-related note, what's the confirmed last name of a human Inquisitor again? Trevelyan or something like that? This matters because I'm finally writing Parts 2 and 3 of that thing I promised to write for y'all and now that we know most our companions are more likely to address us by our surnames instead of just "Inquisitor". This thread needs something to help tide it over. Hopefully, I'll have that something in, like, 2-3 hours. Depending on how much writing happens between periods of staring at the Word document lost in space.
