Lol. IndeedI have no soul, remember?!
I'm on my tablet so I couldn't just left click and drag to mass delete! I had hold my finger down and slowly scroll through it all! And it kept letting go!!

LOL. I'm a little overprotective of my Lavellan too, but mine is better off focusing her attention toward the Inquisition than going after Solas in the Fade. So the tack that she takes isn't looking for Solas, but trying to figure out what Solas was up to and what he was looking for. She thinks that looking for him directly is not going to work, but searching for whatever he was searching for has a chance of leading her to him. So she scours his room, his books, all the clues he left behind.
I'm also bracing for the possibility that my Lavellan won't go along with whatever Solas is planning, and even if there is the possibility of a happy ending by joining him, she won't take it. She loves him and values his perspective, but the Inquisition is her clan now, and the people within its reach are at least partially her responsibility. She can't just abandon all that for him, especially if what he has planned will cause a lot of grief for the normal people in Thedas.
I have the hardest time following how fast this thread moves, but I do lurk occasionally. Just wanted to leave this here:

I wrote fanfiction like crazy in college and cannot believe I am even doing this now, when I actually have things to do like prepare my portfolio for an interview tomorrow or eat dinner. I sat down to just write some blurbs, some scenes in my head that I had throughout the game, and I blacked out. when I woke up, 20 pages were written. Ewps.
Enjoy! Smut is coming, but it's a slow burn, the way you all like it.
I personally like both, burning till they're both to ashes and slowly cooked.
The Last Unicorn is absolutely beautiful and breathtaking, both the movie and the book
When I worked for the library at my alma mater, I had them add the book to their library - my graduation present lol. I can definitely see so many parallels with Solas and Lavellan. Honestly, the most heart-breaking thing is the mini sequel "Two Hearts" that shows what happens to Lir and the unicorn. I was crying because it was beautiful and sad and just so so bitter... but it was beautiful and it meant something.
Wait... there was a sequel!!!

Does anyone have Solas' "in another world" conversation on hand? I totally forget when/where that comes up, which is making tracking it down impossible. =w=

I don't have it, but its a version of the break up responses. The sad one, I think? He goes: "Maybe in another world-" and she goes: "Why not this one?"
So umm I kind of took a hiatus from forums for a bit and I notice now that people have been recommending/linking the fic I’m working on (Crystal White) and I really don’t want this to sound weird or creepy or anything but I just... wanted to say thank you? Like really... I just... can't believe people would do that ._.

You deserve all the recs, Brelakor! And all the praise!
If it's the romance scene you're talking about, here:
Solas: Please, vhenan.
Lavellan: Solas... don't leave me. Not now. I love you.
Solas: You have a rare and marvelous spirit. In another world--
Lavellan: Why not this one?
Solas: I can't.
Solas: I'm sorry.

I've seen your fic recommended a whole lot in this thread! I haven't caught up with the recent chapters, but it was a great read. You should definitely be proud!

I'm pretty sure I'm squealing just as much as you are fangirling xD
And ahhh @Mims & @Scintilla thank you so much
really that means so much to me!

Your fic is awesome. It and The Huntress and The Wolf are my favourite Solavellan stories so far.

YOU!
If I had the authority, I'd banish you to the Sea of Ash like the Inquisitor did George R. R Martin, Joss Whedon, and Terry Pratchett! Banished for the feels!
Sadly, you can't get wi-fi or anything in the Sea of Ash, and we need you to continue posting new chapters.

Remove the period.
God, that's unfortunate. I think I'm a little bit in love with Patrick Weekes.

Okay, now I'm confused and curious.
What did you need to see that conversation for?
Okay, now I'm confused and curious.

Secondary meta-meaning, another apparent Weekes trademark. Not "You have a rare and wonderful spirit. In another world..." but instead:
"You have a rare and wonderful spirit in another world."
More player-insertion, more meta insanity, more amazing writing. The whole thing is just so damn impressive, now that I feel like I have my head around some of the larger parts: the war for the Soul of Seraphym-egg Thedas, the Triad, Balance, and Magic as Choice. And Solas is right at the heart of all the crazy. I can't believe they almost didn't put in a Solavellan route. It's completely brilliant.
I personally think that the more complicated the theory is, the less likely it is to be true.
Edit: Sometimes it feels like the cliff hanger is this one big Rorschach card and everyone is just projecting their desires and thoughts onto it.
Did someone answer my post about why the Inquisition battlemage armor sometimes shows up as red and sometimes as orange? If you look away from this thread for a minute, stuff gets buried deep.
I didn't see an answer
I personally think that the more complicated the theory is, the less likely it is to be true.
But it's not, that's the amazing thing. I could be wrong, of course, but the core is actually simple, self-reinforcing, repetitive. Choice is everything.
It's an onion that includes our reality as its outermost layer. Through the veil that is our computer screen into the Fade that is the game: we are literally Anchored to the character and drawn into the DA universe. From that point on, we are both Lavellan's fade-shadow and her Will. We make all her choices. We decide the shape of the world.
I'm just crap at explaining. Kills me. Feels like personally failing the character, in a way. It's like one of those Magic Eye pictures they had back in the 90s, and I totally see a horse and maybe it's actually a dog, but it's there, I swear it, and I can't figure out how to explain the crossed-eyes thing to get people to see what I'm seeing.
It's... frustrating. But at the same time, this second playthrough feels like not so much a game as a heated philosophical debate with some guys in Canada, three thousand miles away. Which is both crazy interesting and tremendously ambitious in terms of exploring the game medium as legitimate capital-A Art, and if it weren't for Solas' character digging his hooks into me in the first place, I probably would've missed it entirely.
So, I need some romance advice. It's my first Solasmance pt and I just got to Skyhold and just got the Fade kiss. My problem with my Cullenmance was that I didn't pace it very well and burned through all the romance content too quickly. Is there a reason to hold off on the Fade kiss? If so, what's a good time to start it if I want the "slow burn" romance? Can I even get a slow burn romance with Solas?
