On spirits: what about the being that takes the form of Divine Justinia in the Fade? What are we calling that, a spirit, a soul, or some kind of bonding of the two?

I'm calling it a Spirit of Faith.

Being Justinia's spirit seems unlikely to the point of impossibility- it knows far too much.  Solid bet is that it's a piece of Mythal using the form of the Divine to interact with the Inquisitor, gently guiding her where Mythal wants her to go.

Yes, it's the burden we Solasmancers bear. LOL. It is a very sweet romance, and I don't see it as unrequited. I think Solas definitely loves her but just can't let go of whatever mission he's set for himself. There totally should be a slap Solas option if the inquisitor sees him again, though. :-P

Team Optimism is holding out hope for a Wolf Hunt DLC or a cameo in future games that will let us reunite or find some closure with our beloved wolf the way Witch Hunt did for Male Wardens who romanced Morrigan.

When the next DLC is about some BS extra party member instead of Wolf Hunt I'll be so upset.

 

I think it's pretty much guaranteed that, similar to how Witch Hunt was the last DLC for DA:O, "Wolf Hunt" will be the last DLC for DA:I. So we're gonna have to wait till probably July or November-ish, depending on if they do 2 or 3 DLC.

I would laugh so hard if they trolled us like that. And they'd probably not give us the option to kill Tallis again, out of spite.

Seconded.  I long for the carefree, halcyon days when I could be content w/ Cullen.  At least there's a universe where my Trevelyan and Cullen are happy together, b/c my elven Quizzy is still pretty upset.

Personally, I'm glad the Temple of Mythal was carried over. It's one of my favorite parts of the game. I was MUCH happier playing that as an Elf with Solas present than I ever could have been as Hawke (a human who has no personal connection to anything elven) with that merry band of mucker-upers.

I still find it really fitting that my Dalish Keeper's First who wears Mythal's mark drank from the Well of Sorrows, became Mythal's literal servant, declined to let Solas remove her vallaslin, and unknowingly was in love with Fen'Harel, who is also Mythal's oldest friend, and whom he absorbed to help the People. (Average elven mortals like her.)

I wouldn't trade that for any DA2 DLC.

Okay, I'm definitely a few pages behind but if you want to see it I can show you the start of it. It is under the spoiler tag because damn that pic was huge!)

I'm going for a blend of the Mythal statues and Flemeth's character design. You can't see it very well because I'm using the lightest pencil I can find on these canvases so I've altered the brightness and contrast so you can see the actual sketch marks. It's shite now, so fingers crossed I won't completely stuff it up when it comes time to do the actual painting.

Were there concept arts for young Mythal, or was she always Flemeth? I don't have the art books, the tarot cards, haven't read the books or comics or anything, so I honestly don't know. Hel, I didn't even know Alistair was half elf until you guys told me. (I still think the elf+human=human thing is bullshit. Genetics don't work like that, plus Fainriel wasn't human - he was only half so it is already canon that hybrids exist).

Feynriel was an elf-blooded human, same as Alistair. There's probably some magic shenanigans going on with humans and elves.

I figure a young Flemeth looked similar to a young Morrigan. In the legend, Morrigan describes her much as she describes herself, and since Flemeth told her the tale...

I think it would be better to say that the elf-blooded (half-elves) look like humans. They are hybrids of humans/ elves, but always have the appearance of a human. Also, in a world with magic I find it easier not to worry about things like genetics, since there's always a way for magic to trump real-world concepts like genetics.
