"Dying alone" - it's not about "Oh no, I'm dying, I'm dying, and there's no one to hold my hand... that's awful, all my life I've been scared of this, and now it's happening". No. It's more about what Solas and Varric were talking about - that man on an island, who lost his people, and yet kept going every day, drinking his fermented fruit juice. Solas is afraid to die like this man, to die and to know he's the last of his people, and that there will be no more ancient mages, no more endless symphony - all of that would be gone, forever.

I actually think it's both. The way I see it, it's not the matter of "Oh no, no one is here to hold my hand". It's more like... "Dying alone. Lonely. Misunderstood. Rejected by everyone. No one will come. No one will care. I am a failure. I am nothing". For me, it's the fear of being (and dying) lonely (not alone, different things) and having no one to trust/to rely on mixed with what you said.

No one will come. No one will care. I am a failure. I am nothing." For me, it's the fear of being lonely (not alone, different things) and having no one to trust/rely on mixed with what you said.

Yeah I remember in DAO feeling like, really really awful about the one dude who tries to back out of the ritual, I think he said he had like a family and couldn't do it, and Duncan was all like, TOO BAD SO SAD and then MURDERKNIFED HIM IN THE FACE. Bear with me because it was a few years ago that I played the game and I might not be remembering it correctly, but I do remember for sure feeling very upset that the guy wasn't allowed to walk away back to his family. Like, I think he had a pregnant wife waiting for him? That uh, definitely put a bad taste in my mouth (a tainted taste? hahahah) about the Wardens at the very beginning.

I love the black outfit. For the belt I would go... maybe a deep dark red - similar to dried blood, or maybe a sandstone colour. But I would leave the wolf jaw the canon colour. It works as it is. The white jawbone looks... bleached. I have the idea that it's an old bone, so maybe it should be more natural if it's changed? Idk. You're the one doing all this awesome work.

The fact that the Architect looks like a bog-standard Origins style Emissary that just happens to be fabulous and amazing and plotting mass murder is interesting. Did they add in the Tevinter Magister thing later, or was it an idea they had from the start, and before Awakening one of the art team burst into Gaider's office shouting, "EURKEA! SEXY DARKSPAWN MAGISTER!"

Am I the only who thinks Knight Captain Rylen (Griffon Wing Keep) sounds SUSPICIOUSLY like our favorite Starkhaven goody-two shoes no, no... CHOIR BOY.

 

It's probably just me, I'm reading too much into everything.

He tells you he's from Starkhaven, so yes, they share an accent. Unless you mean you think it's the same voice actor? In which case, no... I don't think so.

 

I honestly wish there'd been more Starkhaven characters in DA:I. The only other one I found was a nameless soldier stationed in Val Royeaux.

Didn't they explicitly state that they're not doing party member DLCs like Sebastian (and Kasumi, and Zaeed, and Javik) anymore? Or did they just say they're not doing day one party member DLCs... crap. >_>
