If you're looking for cold, hard fact, it's not going to be easy to get on board.  It's a theory that's built on a thousand pieces of circumstantial evidence, taken in combination with how it seems Old God Souls (elvhen fade-shadows) work and how Solas fits into the reincarnation cycle that underlies the whole thing.  

 

It's kind of an exhausting theory to write up, though, with a lot of little pieces that have to be individually documented before they can be displayed as a coherent whole.  Anyone know of a decent source that sums everything up?

So, what is this Sera = Andruil theory I keep seeing floating around? I see some folks state it like it's a thing, but what's the actual theory/"evidence" for thinking this?

 

I've somehow missed the origin of that.

 

A tumblr user started it by comparing one of Sera's tarot cards (her friendship/Star one) to the shape of the Andruil vallaslin. I'd say it is because they're ALREADY possessed, just by spirits of faith. Perhaps you cannot be under the influence of more than one spirit at a time?

I think this too, but perhaps even though the spirit itself is gone, there is still enough of their energy within the Seekers to fill the void where possession would fill?

Basically, they're both weird. Someone spotted possible vallaslin/tarot card resemblance. Sera fears nothingness and Andruil had Void-weirdness going on. And otherwise, it's a theory that brainstormed off of OTHER theories and conjecture?

 

Cool. That's about what I thought the origin of it was, but wasn't sure if I missed something more substantial. It kinda gets thrown around like it's some newly-discovered fact, so I thought maybe there was something more.

 

Carry on with the theory-crafting. Much of it makes my head hurt and I'm largely an Occam's Razor sort, but it's interesting reading.

Wait.  Conceptually, it would be the lack of Song, not a counter-song that produced dissonance.  Silence.  Not being.  Void.  

 

It's a bubble of Silence, separate and cut off from the Song of Creation.  That's how it fits in to the whole physics angle.

I swear, the wait for DLC is going to kill me. But hopefully it comes out after April once my MFA thesis gallery show is taken down. But that's a selfish reason for it to be put off! Also... longer we wait = more time for them to develop content = longer DLC? Yesssss? Maybe? Please?
 

But that also means the lack of codex entries will haunt me in my sleep for longer... COMPLICATIONS.

 

I can happily wait for story DLC for several months. As long as we can get an in game face-changer tool before then

Well currently we're discussing Sera as Andruil, June and his connection to the dwarves, Andruil and HER connection to the void and how maybe the veil somehow is keeping the magic from the dwarves..idk. It's crazy.

Ahmg! I'm going to have to try and get this on my current PT, I didn't even know it existed. I also need to work on figuring out how to get leliana Divine, I thought I had it last time but I ended up with Cassandra again ><

I always got my choice to become Divine. Is it really difficult? I only support the one I want - always. On the war table, but also in conversations. If I do not want Leliana, I tell her outright "You should not be Divine" and I do not ask Vivienne "What about Leliana?" etc. I really think it is key to make a choice early on (soft/hard Leliana, Herald or not, Divine) and stick to it in every situation.

Cassandra surprised me because I was sure I gained a lot of disapproval from her but she eventually became one of my Lav's best friends. Not complaining though. I have yet to see the max disapproval/drunk Cassandra scene. Not sure if I want to. xD

I also got the max disapproval/trolling furniture scene from Vivienne. That made me laugh.

Do it! Totally worth it. Because you can have both. First max out her disapproval and once you had that scene, be nice to her and she will end up with maximum approval. Of course, you should wait with all the quests that help raise approval (especially the apostate killing). But it is really easy to get her from foe to friend in one playthrough.
About Vivienne, I am not sure. I never got her to maximum disapproval, it seems, because I do not know her furniture scene. But I had done all I knew to raise her disapproval, so I think you have to give away all opportunities for approval changes to get her rating really low. Might not be enough left afterwards to raise it again.

I really, really don't know. I was trying to figure that out a while ago too. His outfit is so strange. 

 

Also, I really admire all the theories in here. Some are really cool. But after the whole Indoctrination Theory thing I'm skeptical of any theory that involves easily-missed information and requires knowledge and digging that most players would never do. It doesn't seem like someone would want to create a story with connections and elements that would fly right over even many avid players' heads. I guess I'm also an Occam's Razor thinker.

I'm starting to get the sneaking suspicion that the dwarves are the key to figuring out what the hell is going on. 

 

So we need to focus on the dwarves and what we KNOW to be true. 

 

We need to really pick apart the Primeval Thaig- there's got to be something hidden there we're missing.

That's totally true, but that's assuming the same wavelength and amplitude, which is a bit different from how I think the Song of the Sun and the false Sun are conceptually related.  Not inversions of each other, but a twisting- a tweaking of amplitude (and volume) that "sundered" the original Song into Song, and Blight.  Think about how much stronger ("louder") blight is than the original Song.  Even in the already-diluted form of darkspawn blood, it's able to grow and completely drown out individual song of a human beings, which have pretty darn strong Will compared to most things in Thedas.
