Yeah, less is always more. Unless you want to look like this:
Spoiler
In which case, EFF YEAH, they're freaking fabulous, your Lavellan can be too, MORE IS MORE, Solas is totally down with all of this, and I will hand you five more things of liquid eyeliner and two pots of MAC and Lime Crime eyeshadow to help you down that path.
Ooooh, MAC is good!
That'd be a nightmare to get out of.
I always thought the leg wrap things were done separately and the thing at his neck is something to keep the wind from getting into his sweater. On the whole, his outfit looked way too thin for standing around in Haven. He made me feel cold.
Well, that explains why we lack sexytime with Solas ingame, nevermind our HC.
Well, Arlathan WAS pulled down underground by Tevinter, wasn't it?
Now we have a rather coherent and elegant theory, haven't we?

Well, Arlathan WAS pulled down underground by Tevinter, wasn't it?
That's the story, yes. I had a thought that it probably floated in ye olde elven times, and then whatever Tevinter did to conquer Arlathan made it smash into the ground. Elves in Uthenera who weren't aware or had serious denial of what happened probably still think it floats in the sky and there's no way some stupid human cultists would make it fall to the earth.

Wait, what?
Did I completely miss something about Brother Genitivi?
The wiki isn't entirely up to date with the inquisition but Brother Genitivi tried to spread the good word as promised about the location of the temple of ashes. The chantry didn't believe him and dismiss it as some crazy person and his ideas. He died sometime before the conclave and the chantry's holding of Haven. By the time the chantry visited, the dragon cult was gone but they did confirm that the temple of ashes location wasn't some crazy person's speculation.
I learned this from an NPC in Haven. I don't remember if it was Leliana, Cassandra, or some other minor npc chantry character.
edit: alternatively, if you killed brother Genitivi and Leliana, Leliana would be the one that told the chantry.
edit2: I would watch videos to prove it but I'm in a public space with no headphones.

Solas doesn't wear enough clothes for Haven because he's a broke apostate. He has to rely on heat magic instead.

Solas does mention floating cities, so why not?

So, Arlathan = Netheril. Flemeth/(possibly)Falon'Din = Myrkul? Because who doesn't love some Neverwinter Nights thrown in?
Cassandra is Kaelyn. Cole is Okku. Solas is Safiya. And Gann is... Dorian because he's pretty?

I will keep my theory that Solas is a newt and he just grows new toes when frostbites occur.

That's because he's an incomplete Thranduil. The real Thranduil would have flowing silky hair. If we want to be realer, a half melted face would be preferred.
I still find it creepy. To me seem more a vampire than our Solas.
Ok he is immortal and wake up from a long slumber and all...but I can't help but find it....wrong.

We don't even have an option for One-of-Many. xD Do you know how many NPC and real people would rage if there was a quest to actually make (and bind him) Cole a demon? Like, holy crap, that would be some twisted stuff.
Better not give the "Solas is Fen'Harel and Falon'Din" theorycrafters any more ideas due to Safiya's fragmented soul and all. ![]()

Well we have made twilight jokes about the character in the past as a parady. Some people already made comics about his secrets and/or immortality.

You forgot Kelemvor.
I don't know who would be Kelemvor! D: Vivienne? She's the most neutral party member and very status quo unless pushed. Ammon Jerro would probably be Leliana. Hardened pragmatist who lost their faith, especially since we killed the granddaughter Divine.
<edit> Hasn't been a screenshot in awhile. Here's one of old looking Solas. Currently telling the rest of the party to buckle up because things goin' get fascinatin' real quick.

Okay, work with me here.
- Fade (Heaven) (Elvish Pantheon)
- Void (Earth) (Forgotten Ones) (Dwarven Deities)
ALL HAVE MAGIC.
Until:
- Veil is tossed up (Why? By Who?)
When veil is put in place, it acts as a barrier, protecting Earth, between the Fade and the Void. This locks each respective set of deities behind their respective "doors". This cuts off the magic to the dwarves, and the oldest lyrium slowly loses its purity, becoming corrupted by lack of ...something? Maybe the blue lyrium is just regular lyrium that has not been corrupted by the blight yet. Maybe it'll all eventually become corrupt until magic is restored to the earth.
The red lyrium corrupts and blightens, turning those stuck beneath the earth into Darkspawn. It also corrupts the forgotten gods, maybe turning them into archdemons. Maybe their names changed over time? Titans corrupted by blood (the severed link) Or maybe the titans (forgotten ones?) had the lyrium blood and when the veil went up it was severed, corrupting it and creating red lyrium.....from beneath you it devours...(hah!) all the red lyrium...which is deepest...
Genlocks are the most common darkspawn, because=Dwarves. But maybe Genlocks are the FIRST darkspawn, and are created from all the primeval dwarves left beneath the surface when the veil was put in place- once all their lyrium was corrupted they became the first darkspawn. THEN they started creating more darkspawn as they headed to the surface (during a blight?) and started kidnapping and eating people. Or whatever, gross.
But then maybe...don't the dwarves say that one day they (darkspawn) just "Appeared?"
But how does this connect? What would connect them all together?
(Just to be clear I'm not saying I believe any of this to be true, just sort of thinking out loud.)

The Veil is put to protect the Fade from corruption via the Blight? Therefore, lyrium losing its purity before the Veil is another possibility.

Vivienne fits Safiya more though. Bald mage from a Mage Institution. Solas can be Kelemvor since they're both Gods ![]()

^^; Sorry, I didn't really keep any except one. This scene has been paradied a few times with different results. This was just my favorite.
edit: another one was Solas mentioning he studied the ancher while you slept. In twilight, Edward likes to watch Bella sleep. like the creepy boyfriend he is.

Alignment-wise, yea that'd fit. Solas might be closer to Gannayev, though. Mr. I love spirits and did-it-to-save-them-chaotic-good. Vivienne would totally rock being a Red Wizard, though. All the political crap would suit her well.
