Any preferences on hair colors for the members of the pantheon? Definitely think Sylaise will be some form of redhead. Andruil could go blonde or brown for me, I don't much mind. Ghilal'nain is white haired due to lore/ canon. Fen'Harel/Solas is a ginger-brunette (look at his cute eyebrows! that's totally his hair color). I'd probably push Dirthamen into raven-black.

Everyone is fair game and I'd love your guy's opinions.

And I'm unsure how much if at all I should change Mythal's character design from Flemythal's. Definitely would make her younger for sure, but I'm unsure about hair color, dragon hair horns, color palette etc. I think Morrigan tells the Warden that her mother had dark hair like her's when she was younger, but again, that's Flemythal not Mythal. Wolf pack! Direct me!

I'm completely in love with Flemythal's DA:2/I look, hair-horns and all. @w@    And can't wait to see ginger-brown Solas.  Curly or straight, though?

Somewhere in the west:

Hawke: I don't know about this plan, Solas. Everything is on fire.

Solas: My girlfriend said that if we keep trying, eventually it'll turn out alright.

Hawke: That's brilliant! More fire. It'll stop the other fire.

Wait a second.  I hate quoting myself, but I am an idiot.

Maybe my brain is just totally fried at this point, but Corypheus and his team never entered the fade physically.   They created a route- by massive blood magic- to the physical City, not its Fade reflection.

That's the only thing that makes sense, right?  Or did my brain just melt?  Because that's where the actual, physical OGS dragons would have been... where Dirthamen-as-Dumat would have physically been to be tainted and woken, and why the rest of his "team" is still down in the Dark Roads.

I have no idea why I was thinking about it the other way around.  That makes no sense.  Apologies to anyone I might have confused with the earlier post- my brain was just skipping over the inherent contradiction for some reason.

So no conflict with blood magic, then, because Corypheus misunderstood where the path was actually leading.  He didn't know the City existed as two distinct but mirrored places- he just knew when he got there that it looked like the City he'd seen in his dreams.

This is... not crazy, right?  Even though he thinks he managed it, my head hurts from how inherently contradictory his breaking into the fade would be.

I thought the Old Gods were physically trapped underground, and only roaming the fade in dreams. So it would make sense that entering the fade while sleeping is difficult if you use blood magic, but entering the fade physically might still be possible via powerful blood magic.

So Corypheus and the other Magisters did enter the fade physically using blood magic, which released/ caused the taint (I think they released it rather than caused/created it). This triggered the first blight since Dumat became tainted and emerged from his underground entrapment.

And by the way, did anyone else find this part of the conversation (after the Temple of Mythal) particularly ominous?

Solas: You have not been what I expected, Inquisitor. You have impressed me. You have offered hope that if one keeps trying, even if the consequences are grave, that some day things will be better.

Always makes me nervous when I hear him say that.

Lavellan: SOLAS! What have you done?!

Solas: Oh, ****. *clears throat* All right, vhenan, I know this looks bad, but hear me out... You're the one who said that "If we keep trying, eventually it'll turn out all right."

Lavellan: THIS IS NOT WHAT I MEANT!! D:<

EDIT:

Lavellan: PUT IT OUT THIS INSTANT!

Solas (sheepishly): Yes, dear.

Hmm. These're the only ones I have solid ideas on:

Andruil: Dirty blonde

Elgar'nan: Cullen-coloured

Mythal: Platinum blonde/white because moon goddess

Falon'Din: Chestnut brown

Dirthamen: A bit lighter than Falon'Din's

June: Black

Falon'Din and Dirthamen I imagine having the same or similar they remind me a lot of Hypnos and Thanatos from Greek myths, and they're often depicted with similar hair colours.

I think if Solas wrote a book called "Journeys Through the Fade", it'd be the best literary fiction of the age.

Bald head but a magnificent strawberry blonde beard for June.

I'm for Mythal with Morrigan's colouring but with dragon horns.

I don't believe the Sera=Andruil theory but throw it a bone and go for blonde :D

Agreed. I'm pretty sure PW says in a tweet that Solas doesn't use blood magic because it disrupts one's connection to the Fade. But that doesn't mean that you can't use it to just brute-force your way in. But doing that is very much opposed to what Dreamers do, which is travel the Fade without damaging the veil.

EDIT: And I don't like the idea of a plot twist that the magisters didn't actually make it to the Black City because it just kinda devalues the whole story up to this point. In Origins, the mystery was "did they really do what the chantry says they did?" In DA2, that mystery was sort of answered, but the new mystery was Cory's assertion that the Golden City was empty and black on the inside when they arrived. In Inquisition they sort of leave the questions of the Black City to the side and instead focus more on red lyrium and the elven gods, introducing new mysteries. Going back and contradicting their premise to such a degree, however, wouldn't be very satisfying from a storytelling perspective. They've already complicated the premise with Cory's revelations, as well as the suggestion that the blight predates the assault on the Golden City.

All I know is my Lavellan will be mad jealous if the other God ladies are hot all coming out of wherever they are looking down on Lavellan and treating Solas like some...well, like if they are all mean girls.

Insert appropriate mean girls gif since I'm on my phone. Lol.

All haughty and...godlike.

Guys, sorry to bother, but I've been told that Dorian comments on Solas/Lavellan relationship. Is it true? If so, what does he say?

There were some fanmade screenshots that made it look like Dorian commented on the relationship. They look authentic though, so that is likely where the rumor got started. But no, he doesn't comment on it that I know of.

We don't even have an option for One-of-Many. xD Do you know how many NPC and real people would rage if there was a quest to actually make (and bind him) Cole a demon? Like, holy crap, that would be some twisted stuff.

Better not give the "Solas is Fen'Harel and Falon'Din" theorycrafters any more ideas due to Safiya's fragmented soul and all.

Actually....

That reminds me.  I could never do this because I love Cole too much but...

And because I was off topic:

As much as I adore my Hawkes, this is definitely accurate. LOL. Hawke is like a beacon for chaos.

Hmm.  If Ghilan'nain had a white face, maybe she was albino.  So white hair.  But her hair color is already in the lore anyhoo, so.

Elgar'nan: Thinking black or a golden blonde color.  He's the eldest of the sun, but he's also creates the night time in the Dalish stories, which is reflected in his vallaslin.

Mythal: Silver like the moon.

Falon'Din: Black or white.

Dirthamen: Black or white, opposite of Falon'Din.  Or brown.  I usually visualized his hair as being brown.

June: grey or white

Andruil: strawberry blonde

Sylaise: fiery red hair

Fen'Harel: looks auburn
