I never did Blackwalls personal quest, I mean, I never started it, he just up and left one day. But I think it's because his approval was high. But he definately left and I don't remember having the drinking conversation before- but maybe we did and that's what triggered it.

*sniff* I'm so proud of my boy. =')

All right, that's it. I've been thinking about replaying the ending for a while anyway (from the Arbor Wilds onward), but this tipped the scale. I'm doing it again, and I'm bringing Cole with me this time instead of Sera or Varric. I love Cole and I already regret not bringing him around more often.

You trigger his personal quest by talking to the courier who appears after Blackwall leaves.

I didn't talk to him much with my first inquisitor (I rushed through to finish the story, so I missed some personal quests), so Blackwall's personal quest never triggered, and he never left the inquisition. I was able to use him for the final battle.

I think you would remember it; it kind of traumatized me to be honest. I was like why would you tell me that!? Why!?

Thanks for that.  I'm unlikely to do a spirit!Cole anytime soon so I was curious to see what happens.  I'm still so proud of my little human-spirit son in the human!Cole version, though *wipes away a tear*

Maybe it's because he had already indicated earlier that he wasn't being affected by the calling the other Wardens were hearing, which should've been a giant red flag, but Quizzy seems to be a bit dense in certain circumstances.

Same.  I thought the conversation preceding his personal quest was really disturbing.  Solas and I have nice chats about spirits and the Fade, Blackwall tells me animal cruelty anecdotes  <_<

Like the Nightmare speaking in elven to Solas and Lavellan forgetting she can understand elven?

And like the time she forgot who Mythal was?

I love the fact that they made four playable races but sometimes it really shows this was once human only.

Yeah. I basically was not a Cole fan before this game. I fact I was positive I would turn him away, but even recruit him. He was a murderer and..just no.

Then I met him.

Well Cory only possesses mage Wardens, right? He can body hop into any Warden if killed, but he can do that from any distance, and the whole point of killing his dragon is to prevent the body hop ability.

I was the same.  Really not a fan of him in Asunder, and thought I'd never use him and now he's in my top 10 Bioware characters and my main rogue.

Cory could posses Larius in Legacy.

Cory could posses Larius in Legacy.

But that was his body hop ability, where he hops into another body after being killed, rather than the control/ possession he had with the mage Wardens.

ETA: Were the mages only controlled because they performed some type of blood magic ritual to bind demons? Or could Cory control them anyway?

Ok guys, so...If I had a picture of one of the elven gods (not Fen'Harel) would it be okay to post the image here? I know Solas being one of them makes it "kind of" on topic but I didn't want to derail the thread. Thanks muchos!

Corypheus was shown being able to influence the minds of mage wardens and warrior wardens, provided the warrior warden was blighted enough.  But that was at long range.  I wouldn't want to test it; proximity often equals power.

Just like that. LOL. I felt like such an idiot when my elven lady who was wearing Mythal tattoos was in the temple asking who Mythal was. It was a true facepalm moment.

It was actual possession.

I thought  maybe I'd re-read Asunder and see if I liked it better when I knew in my head what he was like- with his voice and all.

Yep, same here with my Trev'Quisitor PT.  I was rushing in that one, I never had enough approval with Blackwall to trigger it.  And at the end (the celebration) he said he was going to stick with the Inquisition.

I've never read Asunder. Is Cole really that different in the book? I recently got the Stolen Throne and was planning to maybe pick up some of the other books after I finish it.

Interesting.  I had Janeka alive at the end of Legacy, and I don't think the dialogue for her is any different even though she was a mage to begin with, and Larius wasn't.
