T'is what I always imagine. I always picture Dalish tribes sitting around a fire, feasting, and singing and dancing to drums and tambourines.
There's a woman on Youtube called Josie Evelyn who has made her own convincing Dalish music (although it is on the more serious and somber side). I always imagine my Lavellan's Dalish Clan sing and dance to songs like these (and some that are happy and festive):

I gotta say that it is creepy that everytime if you take Solas with you he always stares at your character.. I mean it is obivious that he has a crush on you from the beginning if you are an elf female lol XD

Yes, but what if Howe hadn't done anything else apart from what he did to the Couslands? What if it had turned out he had had good reasons for his feelings? And if we take into consideration that he had a family, people who depended on him?
All of this is immaterial in the face of all the wrongs he did in general, Howe was meant to be killed however you played through DA:O and they gave us reasons for it aplenty. Yet, I have to wonder about such distinctions between Howe's death and the death of, well, anyone else, when there are always so many other layers. The Warden did not know all the angles, it's impossible to know all the angles, thus such a death should never be approached as lightly as "this person deserved it." What if, to enough other people, this weren't true? The flip side is that we don't know practically anything about those mages Solas is out to kill. They could have been either great or horrible people; yet, should that knowledge influence us to the point where one death is declared murder and another is declared justice?
This... this just makes me laugh so much.

Agreed. Howe was one of the few DA characters that was definitely a "bad guy," but even then if you play Awakening you realize he was apparently a pretty good father and one of the only people Nate Howe liked in his family. So even he has redeeming qualities, and when you kill him and take his lands you end up ruining Nate's life in a big way even though it wasn't his fault at all. Plus it allows Amaranthine to wipe away all of the family's accomplishments which again, is pretty sucky. Does the whole family deserve that because Howe was dumb?
Plus the hundreds of people the PC kills without making any sort of judgement on the value of their lives beyond "they are attacking me and attacking me = bad".
Not to say that Solas is justified in killing the mages, but more that justifying any death is pretty difficult to do.
Yeah, today i was playing another early Lavellan with Solas and Cass, and i was thinking, "Man, just going by their conversations, Cassandra a is CLEARLY the better person (over Solas) and I should do things to get her approval. I just love her to bits...BUT...I don't want to have sex with her, so...
I am a greatly flawed human being.
I said this before around page 1700 but my RL boyfriend and I had something of a Solas impasse.. We couldn't be with each other since we live a continent apart and I have kids that I can't uproot and take to Europe and he has to take care of his mom. So we broke up after the first year, we both had something that we put above our own personal happiness and could not let got without betraying who we are. There was no future for us.
But we both realized that future or not, living in the present without each other was too painful so we got back together and have been taking things a day at a time ever since, for the last 4 years. We still have no future and we see each other in person very rarely but him and I just can't let go.
I hope Solas reaches the same conclusion with Lavellan. It is one thing to walk away and stay close like he did, it is a completely different thing to be without the person you love in your life, not seeing them, not hearing their voice. Solas will be a wreck in no time. He was a wreck already by the time he reached Mythal

Personally, I imagine it's like a convention. Thousands of people from all over come together over a common interest (in this case, their heritage), where they'll mingle, network, exchange ideas, see old friends, and chat and so on before going home. I imagine crowds upon crowds ofpeople chatting it up over tons of food (hunters' kills roasting on fires, baskets of fruits and herbs on display in front of many tents), Dalish craftsmen hawking their wears (weavers showing off their weaves, crafters showing off their weapons), mages discussing magical theory, children playing, etc.

I think there's something wrong with me since everything like this automatically makes me think "SOLAVELLAN!" Though you have to admit that this song lends itself to Solavellan very easily.

An Elven poet
I need a fic where they join a group dance, at an elven gathering for preference, and they have fun learning the steps and being silly together. Most importantly there's no connection to ancient elves, it's just a quick two step twirly dance that leaves them breathless and laughing.

Sure does. It would have made the Dread part of the Dread Wolf all the more visceral for him to actually physically kill them, even if it was off screen.

Anders has never made it out of DA2 alive, somethings are just too horrible and people have to answer for their actions.If he gave the orb to Cory knowing the death and destruction that would follow then my Lavellan wouldn't be able to let him get away with it. If he plans to hurt people to achieve what he sees as the greater good then she has to stop him even if it means killing the man she loves.
If he's goes to those extremes he's not the man she thought he was anyway.
Lashing out in grief filled anger is different from deliberately setting out to kill people to achieve a goal.
Well, I'm guessing he didn't plan on that explosion happening, based upon the conversation you have with him in Skyhold, after Haven.
