I don't think those constellations are an actual link between the old/ elven gods, but rather an indication of Tevinter supplanting elven tradition with their own.

Oh, fine!  :P

I guess I'm on Team Solas spending a thousand years in the Fade messing with library records, then.

I know there has to be a connection between the Old Gods and the Pantheon, what Solas says be damned. But I'm also really stuck on the idea of the Forgotten Ones being the Dwarven deities.

But in that theory the forgotten ones and the Old Gods are the same.

These theories do not mix. I probably shouldn't think so late at night.

You need to put in MAGICALLY bald. Weekes said he doesn't shave it. But chooses magically not to have any. Once I seal the deal in the sheets post-DLC/ DA:7 The Big Bangening, he's growing them dreads BACK. No if's ands or but's! But definitely butts. That boy's got BACK.

Alright... I'm gonna show myself the door and go to bed. It can only get worse from here!

Wait what? Solas chooses not to shave grow hair? Does that mean with enough time Cole can grow a beard if he wants to? Or Fenris growing a beard if he puts his mind to it?

I believe Cole actually has some fuzz on his face. I saw some closeups of his face model and it looked like something a young teen might have, i.e. barely there. :D

To me it seems to take things farther than the writers intended, rather than reading between the lines.

*helpless shrug*

It's your call.  Nobody's pushing theory here.

The pyramids on Par Vollen (created by ancient humans, apparently) depict horned figures as gods. This played a part in the ease of the Qun's annexation of Par Vollen. The pyramids also match up perfectly to Elgar'nan's constellation, apparently.

Over in Scuttlebutt, this combined with the 'Those Across the Sea' references and Iron Bull's comments on the kossith have led some to believe that a kossith invasion will be the plot of DA4. And that Elgar'nan will be involved.

Thoughts?

Tin foil hat theories?

Which stage are we on at the moment?  :P

Considering that the Qunari/Kossith/Iron Bulls ppls-WHATEVER are possible racial science experiments gone wrong (right? *woof*), I can see this as a thing.

Yeah, but if it's canon that Solas can magically choose not to grow hair...does that mean all modern elves subconsciously choose not to grow beards and body hair? That's...arrow fired at the Breach, but not coming down weird. And Cole is a spirit, which is practically just as magically aligned as the ancient elves. If he becomes more human, then could he use force of will to grow a beard?

I just finished my first play through of Dragon Age: Inquisition.  I never played any of the games.  I immediately romanced Solas, for me there was no other choice.  Guess what? MY FREAKING HEART HAS BEEN RIPPED OUT OF MY CHEST FORCEFULLY, THROWN ON THE GROUND, AND TRODDED ON.  I want, NEEDED to fix my broken emotions, so I wrote a fanfic of what happens after.  It's not finished,I've just the first chapter/installment.  I will fix this horrible wrong. Note: I legitimately cried at the end like a little baby.  Not kidding.  I threw a fit and locked myself in my room.  It was bad.

From the creator of Mordin Solus, the morally ambiguous old man who thought he was doing something bad for the greater good. However he later realizes that he made a mistake and puts his life on the line to try and right his wrongs. He defies his government to die with a clear conscience.

We present you with....

Solas

Because of the Profane codex, right?   That threw me for a while too.

Current theory, for what it's worth: Forgotten Ones were Dirthamen/Falon'Din's Pantheon allies in his first failed rebellion in ancient Arlathan.  They were sentenced for treason as he was, tossed into the Void as he was, but since Mythal didn't have to strike a bargain with them, never released.  Still there, trapped in suspended, monstrous form as far as I can tell.  Elgar'nan left just enough trace that they existed on purpose, sending the message that he could, and would, do the same to any who challenged him.

There is some refference to their brother being mad at fen'harel and trying to hill fen'harel in the andraste ties solas to a tree story.

Considering that the Qunari/Kossith/Iron Bulls ppls-WHATEVER are possible racial science experiments gone wrong (right? *woof*), I can see this as a thing.

I'm going with...the Kossith were the ancient initial forms of the Qunari. Remember those dragon-guy paintings? They might be hornless, but they look far more like dragons than current Qunari. They were perhaps favored of Elgar'nan for their inner rage and power. But at some point the Kossith had a schism and split, following arguments over what path their race should take after the fall of Arlathan.

One continues with uncontrolled power, rage, barbarism. One says mastery over themselves, bridling the fury, and serving for the greater good of their race is a better path. Somewhere along the line, the Qunari split becomes less dragon-like over time and eventually make their way to Par Vollen (any any other places they've conquered) in order to put additional literal distance between them and the Kossith. Could be they were kicked out of their homeland, or seriously threatened by a potential Kossith invasion.

Iron Bull mentions briefly that he doesn't think Qunari and Kossith look much alike. That tells us that either he personally hasn't seen a Kossith, or the Qunari as a whole haven't seen Kossith in a few generations. If they did, you'd think there would be better records than "we had to leave our homeland because reasons" like Iron Bull tells you.
