#Lizasaurus: Fascinating post! So does the fact that facial markings/tattoos are made with either lyrium or magic imbued blood mean that people's faces could have potentially functioned as actually living, breathing runes in the past controlled by the gods or masters of the slaves? Face geas?
I...like this theory, like the tattoos were actually a magical binding to whatever master the slave served.

THE ANSWER IS YES. I'm gonna have to think about that a bit, but think about it - choosing the God you follow would be even more important. Well... do I want my slaves to be able to phase in and out of physical reality Fenris style? Or do I want them to be better enchanters like June or smithers resistant to the heat of the forge with the help of Sylaise?
But that's a bit of a jump I don't want to latch onto TOO strongly without further evidence. The use of Lyrium in tattoos could have either 1) fallen out of practice due to the sheer complexity of the ritual necessary to place them on the skin or 2) been reserved for only the most elevated amongst the slaves/ chosen of the Gods.
It's an interesting idea, but they'd also have to be careful that anything imbued through them was tightly controlled or not to strong, otherwise it would have been easy for the slaves to rebel.

If all the face markings are slave markings, I wonder if the ones from the dwarves resemble those from the Forgotten ones?

Sherlock. Gifs. Make. Me. Hot.
This is what I'm going to need from Solas.
Spoiler
As an outsider of sherlock, why do girls fawn over him? Can't be just his looks because before the actor played in sherlock he mentioned he didn't have alot of female fans. Is it his voice?

Well I do think dwarves forgot a huge chuck of their history and they were once connected. Could be a hive-mind or just some complex telepathy. Whatever Dagna said.

He plays the role well and oddly he's sort of charming in the role in a counter-intuitive way. Like, he's a sociopath, but he also has a small circle of people he actually really cares about so it gives him a redeaming quality. Also the way the show is done is really interesting even for someone who knows all the Sherlock stories, seeing how they retell and change things is interesting.
So, basically I am saying it's his look, his manner, and his voice... not that I have any sort of thing for him or anything... /shiftyeyes

Seriously, all this Lore.. I'm gonna need like five cold showers to calm my brain-ovaries down. It's like an exotic flower ripe for the plucking.
I'm just gonna leave two poems by Pablo Neruda before I go grab lunch and Diet Dr. Brainpower.
The first, is how I feel about DA: Lore
I want to do with youThat which the spring
Does to cherries.
"Brain-ovaries"...
*buries her head in her hands, laughing uncontrollably*
Yeah. That's totally what it is.

I actually thought Solas looked strickingly like the Cumberbatch, the only big difference being their nose. And Solas can walk straight out of a Rift and do that to me WHENEVER.
Right?
I probably should stop watching this gif over and over and over again at work.

I'm extremely attracted to arrogant men with black curly hair.
If only I could have made a male inquisitor with black curly hair....
Ahhhh~
Such a weirdly specific thing to find attractive.

So we have three possible Pantheon kingdoms now, right? June is the Deep Roads. Mythal is Thedas. Dirthamen-Falon'Din is Par Vollen, and probably wherever else the Fex used to be before the Kossith/Qunari swept through. For now, given Kossith->Qunari, I'm working from the assumption that the Kossith homeland was Elgar'nan's kingdom, and that Qunari are a Tevinter mashup of Kossith and Elves.
Also, you can't tell me this adopted Qunari symbol isn't damn suspicious in light of both mummy-wrapping pattern and Solas' wrapped underclothes:

I need a full map of the world, stat.
Also- for what it's worth, this makes Skyhold definitely Mythal's.

I also thought Solas and Cumberbatch kinda looked similar. They're both handsome in a rather unconventional way and both have sexy voices.
Never really saw the whole Nic Cage thing with Solas, but that's just me. xD

I'm usually too introverted even to interact with people virtually... but this post convinced me that I have definitely wandered into the right place.
OK, that and all the awesome lore discussion. So, hello all.
