Still now news huh?     May be Solas and Vivienne end up falling for one another - opposites attract.   (Doesn't have to preclude either as LI  but if not selected by PC - remember Fenris and Isabella?)

 

Anyway, time for some useless trivia to take your mind off things: if you look up Solas in Welsh the meaning can either be solace or joy.    The latter meaning seems rather appropriate since he is giving us a lot of joy talking about him.    The former will be appropriate if he turns out not to be a LI.

Oh my god I totally forgot about the cover! I was so convinced that it was Solas and Vivienne when I saw that thing and someone pointed out their silhouettes. Haha, like Allan said, it's funny how close some get (with a single crazy thought that doesn't seem as crazy after all )

I was really getting a bit tired and done the last few days because of no new info, I agree with you all on how they should just get it over with, because I sometimes give my computer these awful death stares according to my family But you guys always cheer me up again! Love all the awesome fanfiction and banter here, although I'm out of likes, again, so I'll make sure to like everything later I wish that we knew how they were going to reveal the last two LI's, through twitter, or the upcoming Comic con maybe? So then we'd know what to stalk and what not

I FINALLY found what you were talking about. Okay, now I know why I avoided that thread after one look. If you care to continue with such a discussion I'd be delighted! Though, I'm afraid such topics might have been covered during the cover discussion.

Anyway, I'd find it quite interesting if it broke down into which gods they serve sort of debate. Can't say I'd enjoy it, but it may be interesting. Though I can't really imagine any of them supporting the Maker/ Andraste. Sure, I see Vivienne being pro-circle and Solas being pro-apostate, but I'm not sure how that would work if we were to bring a sort of religious split. With Vivienne possibly (like, baseless assumption going in there) POSSIBLY being another one of Flemeth's daughters I'm sure there'd be some stand she takes. Or, I don't know, maybe no stance since Morrigan didn't believe in any of the gods (she certainly didn't seem to like the Maker coining him an 'absent father figure'... though that is a loaded statement in itself..). Only that if you did the dark ritual the child would have the soul of an old god. And who would Solas support? I almost want to say Vivienne would be pro-Andraste since she is in the Circle and those seem to be tied in with the Chantry, for one reason or another, but she might be smarter than that. I could only assume so if she were one of Flemeth's daughters. (Then again, an assumption that is pretty much baseless) And I'm not sure who Solas would support, but who knows what he could have encountered in the Fade.

I also feel like this could help with our race-gate debate. If it is split into something that has to do with gods, it kind of makes sense. Humans and elves dream, they are tied to the fade. Perhaps this has to do with their base god/ gods. Yes, I know that the elves believe in a different god than the shem, but there has to be some sort of connection due to the fact they CAN dream. Then there's the dwarves and the qunari who apparently can not dream. Well, dwarves for certain, but qunari... it's debatable. Perhaps something about who their base god/ gods are makes them in another category I... I'm having trouble sorting my thoughts the more I think about this, but you get my train of thought right?

Hrm... the more I think about it the more things kinda seem icky if a LI rejects another due to them not being the 'chosen' race of a particular god. Like, that's just as bad as not liking a race due to how they look. But this is just some crazy theory that some of you have lent me (heck, I'm feeling a bit crazy for even piecing this together, somewhat) and it's getting late. 

EDIT: And I may or may not have used proper terms as I am getting pretty tired and obviously am omitting words and whatnot @___@ Using chantry instead of circle, like wth brain?!

There has to be a reason, I hope. In this day and age I feel it's careless to leave such choices up to chance. Characters featured in some environment concept art? Maybe. But a cover? There has to be a reason. At least when I was in school we were told again and again the importance of having a reason for making such design choices and not leaving things up to chance.

This is sounding like a meme stump, iunno, I think walnut would be nice. (But only because I just watched a King of the Hill episode where Lucky was obsessed with this walnut stump) Do vote for the rabbit though. It can be 'ALLAN, FRIEND OF ALL ANIMALS SOLAS FANS STUMP!'
