I need moar Abelas fan-fiction.
Lovely vector by - http://swevenfox.tum...now-please-this

Oh man, those fan videos keep rebreaking my heart. I've never been so broken up over a video game before. Damn you Bioware, I thought my crush on Kaiden or Alastair was bad, but this has torn me up. I told myself I'd be a productive member of society today...or at least do my laundry...and here I am, still in bed with my cat, prowling the web for more fan art.
Need ALL the Solas things!!!
It's bad enough I am attempting my own fan fiction, which I have never been tempted to do before, and creative writing is NOT my strong suit.
I've never been so broken up either. Anders was one thing; tragic, yes, but my Hawke was 100% on board that crazy train and rode it all the way to its inevitable conclusion with her death. But Solas...I have these huge fangirl mood swings between optimism and tragedy because I know they still love each other, and I know he's so bitterly lonely, and I just *need* them to be happy.
There have been a lot of mornings of kitty cuddles, Solas fanart, and hiding in the blanket fort. As for fanfiction, you can always request fanfiction through prompts on the kink meme (though they might not get filled). And even if creative writing is not your strong suit, fanfiction is first and foremost about YOU, not anyone else.
Nobody has made up his/her mind and I think this way it is all bound to fail so just start something. :-D I created the categories Dwarven/Elven Mythology (what the hell, I don't know, rename them maybe). Basically you just create a new page, assign it to a category (by typing the category name in the search field at the bottom, maybe pick an existing one from the suggestions) and write whatever content you like on that page. I did not see how to insert an index for a page though. There must be a code reference somewhere but I accessed it from my mobile and that was no fun. The categories are basically just tags for pages to group them logically.I will help.
I'm at work right now but I can do a little, but since I missed chat I'll need to know exactly how people want it to be organized.
I'll make charts.
I'm good at charts.
Alright give me a half hour. Nobody do anything crazy till I get back.
This makes me sad because it's not real. I'll help change your name, baby! Something hot, like thunder thighs.
With a voice like his, it should be deep throat. :' )

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who oogled that man's thighs (and for much longer than I was willing to admit, at first.)
Just imagine the power behind them...
Uhh... I'lllllll... be back in a while. *red face*

Would anyone approve of a wiki background full of eggs, loose screws, cracked pots, wolf jaws, lost marbles and tinfoil hats? Because I kind of want to make one now.
Edit: Might throw in a few other dragon-agey things as well.

Isn't that, like, the only kind?

Or at least more sexy fanart of him.
Shutting up now... xD

- Once the book said that Anders did blow up the Chantry. But two or three times the book hinted that he just claimed responsibility/possibly wasn't the only one responsible. Huh. Did they mean Justice? Someone else? Just awkward phrasing? I wonder.
The book might be referencing Hawke, if he/she helped in the Chantry when Anders approached them.
I just remembered this coming across my FB feed a bit ago, and at the time, I felt it was a really important blurb for my own personal reasons, and now, after all I've been through in the world of Thedas, I find it remarkably accurate for our favorite egg-head (and others like him.) I like to think the Inquisitor is a bit of a dreamer now, with the anchor and all...
(Spoiler for size, holy moly............. that's what she said.)

Oh! I've been actually wanting to ask.
What exactly -Is- a Dreamer, and what lore do we have on them?.. The only one I remember is Fenyherlelel, that half-elf kid from DA:2.

There is info on the Dragon Age wiki on Dreamers: http://dragonage.wik...om/wiki/Dreamer
A dreamer (Tevene: somniari)[1], is a mage capable of entering the Fade at will, without the aid of lyrium. A talented dreamer can shape the Fade and affect the dreams of sleeping people, killing or driving them mad. Some such as Solas, can dream in forgotten ruins to uncover secrets long forgotten by witnessing Spirits re-enact the history of a place. Admittedly though, the account of the dream may be biased depending on who's perspective the spirit chooses to emulate. However, dreamers attract demons and most prove too frail of mind to survive a demonic possession. As a result dreamers are rare. The word is also used to refer to any sleeping or lost person's presence in the Fade.
men still dominate gaming
pffft, you know half those 'male Inquisitors' are just women who want to romance Dorian or Cassandra XD (guilty)
Also, how many of those are people who accidentally created a male because they were confused by the creation process (guilty)
Anyways, that statistic tells you nothing of the actual gender of the players, just the gender of the Inquisitors created.
This reminded me I never said what I am. Apparently I am a INTJ. Though I am pretty sure I waffle on the J/P part. I feel like it's a bit interesting to see how the general break down works. I wonder if different personality types tend to be drawn to different characters. I mean on the one hand it seems obvious... but on the other idk. I mean irl I am drawn to extroverts (as long as the understand my introvertedness and know when to push and when not to) because it relieves a lot of social pressure and attention from myself. Especially ones who talk a lot.
Oh yeah, I'm definitely drawn to a "type" of character. But, I tend to like pairing characters that are complementary or opposite in some way, usually. Depends what character I'm playing...which is usually some type of insufferable extrovert, since the PC in these games is almost always a charismatic leader of something or other.
I do like how the Inquisitor could be played as a bit more introverted or soft spoken, that was kind of fun for a change. I'm also more attracted to extroverts in real life....but fellow introverts always make the best friends.

OMG, my first character I had to recreate three times. The first was because I accidentally picked the male option when I didn't intend to, go to the faces selection was surprised and restarted. The second time I hit the wrong button to customize the face so it just did all the default options >< It was rough.
Also, yea I have made a male character to romance Dorian, I'll probably make another at some point to romance Cass as well. But yea, people using that statistic as proof of anything are quite flawed. I hope they release stats on what the most popular choice for a romance is, I'm super curious. I'm also curious about what the breakdown of classes/specializations is.
Good Evenin' Solas Thread.
I succumbed to allure of Solas and snuck in some DAI time last night. I had reached my stealthing peak from the other games I'm trying to get through (oh man, so much stealth, so much impatience). Plus I have finished working out all my headcannon for my remake of Niamh Lavellan so I felt it was time to bring her to life. Ah, Solas, good luck breaking up with this one. She's going to turn absolutely nutterbutter.
Which is what leads me to my Friday night (or day, or whatever crazy Past or Future time zone you are in) question for you! Cos I know you guys enjoy talking about your Lavellan's ![]()
Did your Lavellan go through a personality change at all during their Inquisition time? Were they stoic from start to finish? Or did something happen along the way that made you change the way you played?
For my Male Lavellan, I had him break the hell down after Here Lies The Abyss. Lets face it, most of your companions do as well. I was RPing as a cocky, laid back charmer who knew nothing of the Fade. To go there physically, trapping your friends with you and a big ass Nightmare? Leaving one to die? Yeah, the game may have made him seem fine, but in my eyes, there was no way he was walking away from that with a skip in his step. This was how I made his decision to banish the Wardens fit in with his personality. Normally, he would not have been the kind of person to banish anyone. But he was shaken to the core and forced to make a decision before he could compose himself. Warden's got banished out of nothing more than spite. Solas approves!
I had him pull himself together during the wonderful conversation you have with a romanced Dorian after the Fade. But he was still left slightly changed. Judgements became harsher and interactions with a lot of the companions because more understanding. He stopped being all Sass all the time.
as for Niamh? She's such a sweet and fluffy individual. But I don't want her to stay that way. She isn't safely in her Clan anymore, and the Inquisitors journey is full of stuff to make a fuzzy individual break. Giant magister? Big ass dragon? Leaving someone to die in the Fade? ORLESIANS!? She is going to snap from weepy to full on aggressive. The break up scene with Solas is going to be a blast.
I am rolling her in my optimistic belief that she will get Solas reuniting DLC. But I don't want no soft hearted emotional reunion. She may start out a fragile Lavellan, but she does not end one. There's no crying the nights away or needing hugs from companion. She's more Liam Neeson in Taken when it comes to her bald headed lover.
I don't want an emotional reunion either. I want them to make up by yelling at each other to mask their sexual frustration.
"FFS SOLAS JUST COME BACK WITH ME"

aha. ![]()
Anyways, apologies for breaking in with random Q's. As you were, with your theories and smut. I'm off to do more STEALTH ALL THE THINGS gaming. I'll be back to catch up and use up all my likes here later.
Toodle pip.
At the same time, quite a few of the females are guys wanting to romance Sera
Also a quite valid point ![]()
Okay. So here's a rough thought of how we could process.
I put it into a chart so for those who work best visually.
I'm thinking two main over-reaching categories
Theories & Lore
Now, under Lore, we would separate it into two or three categories- let's say...Race and Magic
Under race, we'd have five categories.
Elves, Dwarves, Humans, Qunari, Misc. Races
Here is how typical organizing would go for say, Elves.

Now this is only a quick rundown. We would need to come up with (with more time) other categories, such as magic. These categories would be where we would store all relevant codex entries.
It may be helpful for a few of us to be delegated "essays" of a sort to type up something summarizing each category.
Under Magic- or whatever, we would have things like The Fade, Lyrium, Runes, etc.
The theory area would just be seperated under popular categories of theories- Old Gods, Pantheon, Dwarven Magic, whatever. People would be in charge of adding their own (or others, if asked) in coherent essay form, to that side of the wiki.
Every theory must be as well documented (linked to relevant codex entries, art, etc) as possible, and must have date, time and name so we know who to credit.
Would prefer each theory to have correct grammar usage and be spell checked as well.
My suggestions on these things would be as clear and non-cluttered as possible, using light colors or colors pleasing to the eye. Nothing worse than a wiki that you can't even read half of because it's black and neon orange or whatever. It will be beneficial for us to be as academic as possible, especially if we want the developers to put their stamp of approval on it.
Anyway that's just want 15 minutes of brainstorming got me.
