One would assume two. He'd be dead or tranquil in this sort of setting if his human soul were ripped out without some form of magic to animate him (such as the Blight or a spirit).
Also, Morrigan would have freaked out if he were soulless now.
I imagine he had two. He was conceived the night before the battle. And I doubt Flemeth would have left her grandson soulless.
The ME drama was terrible. And there were individuals who fomented it on purpose, playing all sides against each other including the moderators. Also, the Liara thread. Indoctrination Theorists had to jump ship despite having a solid case (yes, even after every successive DLC where people said that BioWare canned the Idoc Theory, the case actually only grew stronger --- loud naysayers can work faster than theorycrafters can dive into new material to research it properly).
This thread is better. Just as many tinfoil hats but none of the drama.
Speaking of tinfoil hat ideas, I noticed footage of Abelas getting killed earlier today and saw that he had the same smokey eyes that Solas does after he "kills" Flemmeth. Implications? I have no idea.
That'll change when we become emotionally distraught as that time. Also.. what happened in the liara thread?
I did the whole series all in one go after everything already came out. They had that trilogy release with the dlc. So nice not having to suffer for ages between games, like I am now waiting to find out what happens to Solas
The wait after Origins, for Awakening wasn't too terrible. And then the wait for DA2 after Awakening was doable. The wait this time (after a paltry 2 months), ugggh I am going crazy! 
It's that damn stinger at the end. What a cliffhanger. As someone that had no idea what was coming, I sat at my screen with my mouth hanging open for a few minutes. Keep in mind I was one of those poor unfortunate souls that ran right to the end after the final romance scene. I was a mess.

Depends. He definitely has his own soul + 1 extra IF the Dark Ritual was performed. If he's just a normal kid because of romance with the male warden, then obviously he has his own soul there as well.

Ok I just now caught up with this thread and I saw that some amazing people are doing a website thing to keep track of the theory-crafting? I have just finished my complete and comprehensive biochemical analysis of magic in Thedas, but I don't really wan't to post it here because it's REALLY long. I have no life. I know.
I have made alterations and corrections to my Kossith theory after @Caddius pointed out some of the flaws regarding the Kocari Wilds colony. I have also updated my thermodynamic theory to be inclusionary of those infected with red lyrium. Would the new theory wiki be the proper place to post it?

And yeah, you can put it anywhere. That's the beauty of the wiki- we can build an organizational structure to get at things that's separate from the actual... things. So just stick stuff anywhere- the important part is getting it all out. (Oh! And go crazy with the tags, so people can search on a term and get back everything associated with "Magic Theory" or "Abelas" or "Weird Physics", etc, etc.)

Welp, I am sure this has something to do with impending menopause, but I got all teary again just now, this time in the Temple of Dumat.
When listening to most of Corypheus' memory crystals, all I could think was that it sounded just like what the Dread Wolf must have thought when he woke up: The world sucks now, I am alone, only I can see what needs to be done.

On that note, what do you all think Kieran's OGS "special ability" is? Andruil's seems to be marksmanship (and a penchant for chaos), Sandal-June has craft, Dirthamen-Solas has the ability to take Secrets from peoples' minds, Falon'Din-Solas can redirect souls via the Fade (theoretically)...
He seems to have an immediate, fundamental understanding of a being's nature. Like, at a genetic level.
Pretty solid fit for Ghilain'nain? That would match Urthemiel, right?

Speaking of Gihlan'nain (spelling confirmed against the active game next to me), I just took Sera, female elf Inquis, and Solas into Gihlan'nain's Grove. Sera gets the shivers and Solas asks her what she's feeling. Sera replies that it's like she's seen all of this before, only differently (ie the scenery has aged compared to her memory). She then refutes it being an "elfy thing" because the Inquisitor isn't shaking, too. Sera is just different. Cue Solas saying that Sera *is* different: she is the furthest thing from what she was meant to be.
Now I wonder what Solas thinks Sera was meant to be. I also wonder if an Archdemon slain could shatter into more than one soul, given your identifying Urthemiel as Gihlan'nain and Sera's proximity to Urthemiel when the latter was killed.

Hmm. Can't get on board with reddit guy. Seems to me like his reasoning is deeply flawed- starting with Mythal "piloting" one of the OGS dragons (as if she would need to, or could even if she wanted to) and just spiraling downward from there. Falon'din as Lucascan is fine, and there's a decent chance he's right about Toth. The rest? ...no.
As for the "wings of death" surrounding Falon'Din, I took that as an oblique reference to the black wings of Dirthamen's ravens, Fear and Deceit: the tools he uses in the fade to twist the dreams of men.
