I finally got myself to finish the second playthrough and the breakup. Here are my favorite screenshots.

I thought I'd share my really deep and personal piece of my city elf struggling in Wycome. It was conceived during the Solas draw chat.

The maiden represents the purity of the once noble elven people. The societal implications of this piece represents the conditions of the alienage in Wycome. The Wycome is considered one of the most civilized city-states in the Free Marches and yet the city elves live in conditions no better than any other city. The excrement are what is left over from the noble's consumption, the elves can only scavage nutrition or minerals but never in it's ideal form. 

 

11 out of 10, would make out with knife-ears.

If so, wow at this game level of design

Yeah, I just watched The Prophecy so I could understand the "It was wrong to put it in a child. It hurt her." line Cole says in a banter with Solas.

 

That movie is WEIRD.

I got her banter when we stepped into Var Bellanaris in the Exalted Plains.  Which is sad, because I was hoping to hear Solas' "tread carefully, these are sacred grounds" :/ Friggin' Sera and her damned apathy.

Regarding trash items we can't bear to sell... I keep the Lover's Knots. So far I can't seem to get both the right and left half on a single character though.

 

There's a campsite you find in the Exalted Plains with what looks like a couple of corpses. If you get close enough for a loot outline to show up, there's a small body under the left one with a Bloody Teddy Bear on it. The first time, I accidentally looted it, and couldn't bring myself to sell it. Thereafter, I didn't loot it, leaving it with the child. This one campsite made me wish I could bury them, or burn them, rather than leave them for the carrion birds and scavengers.

Actually, I'm pretty sure all of us do. :|

If you have Solas take the Peaceful Aura skill, he gets this halo of glowing when he's in combat. His romance doesn't lock in until he breaks up with you over angst about betraying his cause, and possible death of you later on.

 

If you like Fenris, well... He's a glowy elf who sometimes glistens (Isabela friend fiction, anyone?) and is terribly angsty over his self worth, memories returning during hot sex, and whether he actually deserves Hawke as a lover.

 

...hmm. Alright, I'll admit: glitter fetish maybe. I just remembered how much I absolutely LOVE that pretty sparkly rift mage spell of Solas' that makes him even more incredibly attractive in battle   

 

...crap. I do have a glitter fetish, don't I?

 

 

In my defense, I was never really into Edward. So that might be exclusive to Solas >////<

 

Ah, Angst though, I definitely have no fetish for angst. I disliked that in both Fenris and Edward... also how they both seem to get mad at their love interest when it isn't their fault XD But that's just because of the amount of angsty people like that in my life, so I kind of run from that quality haha. 

 

Don't get me wrong, I see no problem with glitter and angst fetish. Its just not fair to assume that of all Twilight fans T_T  

I can totally understand not liking Twilight too, I thought a lot of stuff in that series was annoying.

...but being bashed for liking it really sucks T_T

I actually had to take a serious pause the first time I noticed that.  I sometimes become blind to the random loot I pick up, but when I read "bloody teddy bear", it had me taking a closer look.  Much to my dismay...  I had to screencap it, almost to like... honor the memory of that poor little pixel soul.

Off topic, anyone disappointed that Morrigan went back to her DAO clothes? I mean they look nice and they're iconic, but who wears the same outfit for a decade lol.

I've been feeling down too...having trouble playing DAI because I'm way too sad...but playing anything else feels empty (which is a new feeling for me as I will pretty much play anything I can get my hands on). Right now I'm literally hate-playing Shadow of Mordor. I suspect that it is probably a good game, possibly even great, but I can't tell because I'm playing it out of pure spite, as if my willful ignorance of the presence of DAI on my shelf will somehow RE-ENABLE SOLAS.

And glitter is the thing everyone loves to hate. Herpes of the craft world and all that. One you get some on you, it'll never come off.
