This is pages ago, but I just wanted to give a HUGE thank you to you for compiling all those codexes. It's such a big help. also, I wonder if there could be some way at some point to compile actual dialogue in game or if it is too much of an undertaking. There seems to be a lot of foreshadowing in some of them, so it would help too.

I don't know about dialogue, though. For now, I'll just concentrate on codex entries. Oh, and there are party banter compilations on the DA wiki, if this'll help.

I don't think male elvens can even select them in the CC.  I've never actually made a male elf in DAO or DAI so I don't know that for certain.  But yeah, beardless elves seem to be a thing in Thedas.

 

Pretty sure It's canon elves can't grow beards, people asked numerous times If Fenris has stubble. (( IT always looked like he did, sorta.)) And were told he doesn't/can't grow a beardd.

I know I keep asking this but is anyone who is good with modding DAI managed to see if they can replace the female Dalish keeper robe model with the male one?  Because I know it exists for female elves.  That Dalish woman wandering around Skyhold proves that.

That's why I stay in the Solas thread. It can be very tempting to get into arguments with them which is what they want.

*sigh* As much as possible, I try to avoid that part of Tumblr and the fandom. They just end up giving me big headaches.

Yeah, I tried reading one of the threads complaining about "all the women" in DAI.  At first it was entertaining to watch people derail the troll w/ cupcake recipes, but in the end it was just sort of depressing.  Anyway, this thread provides more than enough content to keep me occupied.

I feel the need to do something creative so I may make a sappy music video set to an obscure mandarin song. Maybe. The urge is there, but all I have is windows movie maker and it blows chunks.

Anyway, while I was recording some footage for this endeavor, something occurred to me. In the final battle we see this:

Not the Black City, I don't think- just bits of the original temple structure that "remember" where they once were, like the floating mountain rocks in the Fade.  Still our physical world, but with crazy Fade physics leaking in, if that makes any sense.  

 

Now, why and how is a damn good question.  Maybe this is what happens when if veil gets far too thin in one spot?  (Like the appearance of green fade stone in the Wastes?)   It's possible Corypheus is using a good chunk of what's left of the orb's power to thin the veil on purpose, to augment his innate ability to draw fade.  That's an odd thought, since if we like the orb-as-fade-battery theory, you'd assume he'd have access to more "water" pulling it directly from the orb itself than thinning the veil would grant him, but since the localized weird physics seem to start going back to normal as soon as the orb runs out of power, direct connection to active orb seems very likely.  A bit counter-intuitive, but I think that's what's going on here.

I wouldn't pay tumblr much attention. After the Dorian/Bull incident, almost everyone is in a "X character is abusive because Y". Last wave I saw was Sera. Sera is also apparently 'problematic' because she's dares to be a lesbian, and have character flaws.

 

I'm honestly impressed the writers can handle all of it. I'm a fairly even tempered person, and I think even I would have been like: "You know what? Next game everyone dies."

Good god, not tumblr but I remember the trigger arguement. I snuffle at the thought but I read the twitter conversation and it was like they were describing discomfort but not ptsd. They could say the same for Dorian but rather than being stereotypically gay, maybe he's just aristocratic? He is an altus.

 

When you work in the entertainment industry, it tends to be like that. You are catering to passionate people and sometimes those passionate people get a little crazy when you attack their hobby. You try your best to deal with it until the death threats and stuff. edit: also you CAN choose to not touch social media. When you consider it, you have to be mentally prepared. If not, you'll become a PR disaster for whatever organization you work for.
