I wouldn't pay tumblr much attention. After the Dorian/Bull incident, almost everyone is in a "X character is abusive because Y". Last wave I saw was Sera. Sera is also apparently 'problematic' because she's dares to be a lesbian, and have character flaws.
I'm honestly impressed the writers can handle all of it. I'm a fairly even tempered person, and I think even I would have been like: "You know what? Next game everyone dies."
Everything is 'problematic' if you look too hard at it.
Oh my god there's some really mean people in the Dragon Age fandom, like tagging their hate on tumblr and making fun of fans for analyzing Solas...or saying Solas is a more abusive relationship that Bull/Dorian o_o
It's tumblr. It's a garbage dump for the most part -- that's how ALL fandoms blogs are though. All of them. Nowhere is safe. So don't feel too bad. Just ignore it or block people. I mostly just mock people that 'don't' care so much that they rail on about the same character for hours and have pages of analysis that rival the people that actually do like them. Also everyone on there is like 19-21 and still in college(no offense to all you young people) so they have the luxury of being awful for hours at a time. I've noticed that it's rare someone is an adult with actual **** to do and still manages to be a total assbasket on there. So take solace in the fact that they should grow out of it to be useful members of society.

And when people of opposite opinions start clashing, it becomes a full-scale Tumblr war.

I had an ignorant tumblr user accuse me of turning a "classic homosexual work" into a heterosexual piece. That I was an abominaion for doing so.
I then had to write up a post, explain that NO the original work did not feature a homosexual couple, but a woman in a riding outfit (had to offer up at least 7 different accounts of visual reference to prove my point), show that this piece was made in response to one almost 3-4 years to the date published on the cover of the same publication, that the theme of women and centaurs was by no mean a new thing..
I feel like a bit of a **** for having to sit down and give this user an art history lesson. But seriously, what were they doing accusing me of having done something THEY hadn't done their research on? I just.. don't get it. And it's why I almost want to say good-bye to tumblr entirely.

Ugh this is going to bother there is artist who did magazine covers but based his males on his lover. The men usually wore suits and sometimes have an intense stare. Kind of old-ish. Pre-1950s. Gotta research I guess. Your critic would have loved this guy.
