Yeah, Fade tongue and the comments on sex should eliminate he's asexual, but they're in this bubble of denial and angry to have it broken.

To be fair, if you choose certain responses, you could interpret him as asexual. And if that allows people to enjoy his romance more, I say it's perfectly fine (as i know he did attract a lot of ace and demisexual fans). However, that doesn't give them the right to criticize others or get angry for saying he isn't. Though i don't see why people need to argue about it one way or another. Patrick Weekes said he wanted to leave it (as in whether they slept together) up to the player, and I think that should be respected.

Everybody is drawing Solas with abs and I'm just sitting here asking "When does he have time to to exercise except out in the fields?" All he does is read, sleep, and paint a freaking fresco. If you didn't know, frescos are attentive hard and time-consuming.

I have no problem with that either.    But they were attacking and that was the problem.

It was more about the sex.  They are holding on to this idea that he's a canon asexual character.  Asexuality though is a broad term that encompasses a lot - from total lack of sexual attraction, to romantic relationships with some contact(kissing, cuddling etc).  In this case, it means that Solas does not have sex and his comments on sex are nothing more than flirtatious suggestion.  What you see in the game is the extent of the physicality of the relationship.  So there is a group that took issue with the more sexually explicit art of the Quizzy/him. 

 

That's completely ignoring the fact PW wrote the character and the relationship with a lot of wiggle room for the player to use their imaginations. Obviously some have felt that the Quizzy/Solas have an aggressively sexual relationship while others say 'no. it's chaste'. Others say it falls somewhere in the middle. Honestly, the best part of this romance is that the 'in-between' moments are left totally up to the player. You tailor it to your character and your interpretation of Solas.  It makes the game personal.  EDIT: And I want to be clear that I am 100% for asexuality playthroughs and characters and better depictions of them.  I am empathetic to that group since they so rarely get characters that depict a romance/love that they can relate to. 

 

What I take issue with is having either opinion shoved down my throat.  Let people headcanon the way they want.  If they can write/draw to get their feelings out, just let them have fun.

Couldn't the taint have passed from Fiona to her child, thus curing her? Alistair's dragon blood could have been what kept him safe from the taint affecting him, maybe. Just a guess.

Yes! I think it definitely had something to do with the blood, but there is a large margin for there the be way more to it. Maybe it is something similar to the dark ritual. >.< See :: Points to theory :: There are still many holes. It could be related to Maric himself, or a combination of the calling and being preggers. ...in the future Quizzy is sent into, she sees a very tortured and mutilated Leli, along with notes on how she is resistant to the blight.  I'm sure it's been gone over, but could that indicate something is special in her blood?  Did I miss something huge about her backstory somewhere?

I think you're onto something.  Also, what about those pillars that the dwarf in Skyhold talks about the mosaics being made of?  Are those the Thousand Pillars?  (Sorry, my coffee hasn't kicked in yet and I'm too lazy to look it up.)  Anyway, he says that they are made of some sort of mortar, not solid stone.

 

Also we know that red lyrium turns people to stone, or, more correctly, crystal.  What if the other pillars are red lyrium people that have been somehow cured?  That would also explain the stone worship of the dwarves.

 

And I've been thinking about Dirthamen and Falon'Din and the lack of Dirthamen items in his temple, and also the supposedly close relationship they share.  I'm wondering if Falon'Din is what Dirthamen became when he was corrupted, and the lore separated him into two people because he was so changed.

Something I've been wondering about Falon'Din and Dirthamen is why would ancient IMMORTAL elves even need a god linked to death. You might well be right that Dirthament and Falon'Din are actually the same person and his role changed when elves started dying after the quickening. Would explain why a temple to Dirthamen have representation of Falon'dIn.

Well, Dorian hangs out in the library all the time and he is well fit.

 

I would like to think that off-camera Dorian and Solas have weirdly competitive routines much like their conversations on magic:

Solas: Ahh, yes. I find it breaks up the routine.
