I used flycam and I have to say the animators did really nice with their last kiss scene:

 

 

They actually do have their faces/lips pressed together whereas with the first two kissing scenes, if you use flycam, they're not really touching mouth-to-mouth.  It's nice to see

That doesn't even make sense. If we were sexually repressed, then our sexual desires would come out in ways other than explicit fanart and fanfic. We would be... I don't know... having psychosomatic symptoms instead like women in Victorian times.

Well, I did have some trouble sleeping right after finishing the Solas romance, but it wasn't because I felt repressed...more like depressed. ^^;

 

Also, to the people talking about Solas's profile, I have to agree. There's just something about it. 'Tis a very lovely profile.

And.. and why was it Leliana being experimented on?  Fiona was cured of the taint.  And Alexius was just using her to grow lyrium?  I love this quest, but the villians are idiots.

 

EDIT:  I am pretty sure Alexius went to the Warden Kuril's School of Being A Great Villian.  Yes, Kuril.  Let Commander Shepard roam around your base with her allies and fully armed!

Once again, still catching up, so I don't know for sure if anyone else has addressed this. But, I would like to point out that no one knows Fiona was a Warden who was cured except for the Wardens themselves, and whoever was alive when she was sent back to the Circle. Alexius and Corypheus wouldn't know because there is no lingering sign that she ever had the Taint. She would have been just considered a vessel to grow lyrium out of.

Maybe some of those Circle people survived the rebellion. Maybe they didn't.  

Maybe the red lyrium infection was a starting method to find out who could be resistant to the Blight? If Alexius used that as a starting measurement, Fiona would be dead last as far as deliberate infection and experimentation was concerned. Leliana was the only person who didn't have a creepy red lyrium glow around her. According to Alexius' notes, she was the most resistant to the Blight and the source of a lot of flesh used to craft onto Felix.

 

When you only have a year to both experiment with the Blight, and please a master who is aspiring to god-hood and brooks no failure, you kind of have to take what you can get. Magic rituals to try and warp time probably take a little while to prep for. And the random demons interrupting everything doesn't do anyone any favors.

So, yeah. That's my take. It is a little unlikely that all your companions would have survived, but I don't think it's as cartoony as Shep running around a supermax prison armed to the teeth.

You know, all things considered, I'm surprised Solas doesn't get a LOT more hate. 

 

Really, there are many aspects of Solas that could make him very unlikable to the right eyes. If you didn't gain his favor in your first playthrough, I can imagine not being fond of him at all. Even if you did, he's heavily flawed, says some unfortunate things and can have quite the unpleasant attitude sometimes.

 

Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful. Reading constant bashing of your favorite character can get real tiring, real quick. I can imagine that's how Sera fans feel and I know that's how Anders fans feel. Not fun. I can only hope that's not the position Solas fans end up in after Solas does whatever he plans to do in a future game.

Yeah, I prefer to keep myself levelheaded by taking perspectives in mind because I worry about being disillusioned for romancing him. It's like if your friends tell you your Significant other is a know-it-all and flaunts it in an arrogant way. I'd rather just say "Yeah... he is a smartass. but I still love him" as oppose to not understanding why they view his high-intelligence as arrogant.

 

I also like comparing with Sera. Alot of people view her as anti-intellectual, not one to reason, reactionary, and stay away from her. It wasn't until my second pt that I tried to analyse her and kept her with companions that she didn't have conflict with. You begin to understand her reasons of why she fears mage, the possibilities of elfhood, representing the little people. She's actually alright, a little scared of the unknown or complicated but fun to be with. One of my favorite banters is when Solas ask why she doesn't want to be more organized to get rid of all the nobles. She said she wouldn't want that because it would only be replaced by a new set of nobility. Her banter with blackwall is pretty good too. She thought there was one way to deal with nobles. To irritate them. But when she noticed how Josephine deals with nobles, she realized it's much more fun to have nobles eating from your hand.

That's what I love most about his look. There's almost nothing about him that's conventionally handsome and it's awesome!

I definitely think there's something to be said about that. As much as he's got this duty to do... it's his responsibilities of the past and the guilt associated with it that ages him. Lavellan, on the other hand, due perhaps to her blood being quickened and I suspect being the youngest of the available inquisitors, trends towards meeting the challenges faced her way with determination and optimism (even if it's a little more realistic brand of optimism). She's determined to do what's right in the moment while his concerns over what's right spans millenia.

Her ability to what's right, then, at that moment, brings him back to the present as well. It allows him to live rather than exist.

TL;DR: The best thing this side of the Fade: Lavellan brand fermented fruit juice. Making you feel young again since 9: 41 Dragon. 

Yep. Depressed people often look... feel... older than they are. It's this... feeling... well, you don't feel like you're actually alive. It's just "I must", "I need", "I have to", but not "I want" or "I enjoy". It's... grey. Everything is grey. It doesn't invoke any emotions, aside of negative ones that eat away at you.

 

What I was meaning to say is that there is a fragile beauty to this relationship, and to how Lav drags him out of this pit, even if it's just for some moments. With her, he an be at peace. He can be happy. Free. And that's what counts.

I for one find my own assertion to be unlikely.  We know from the example of Zathrian that powerful magic can suspend the aging process.  Having the spirit of an elven deity inside of oneself qualifies.
