I know the official tarot labels his romanced card as Hierophant, but I can't help thinking The Fool is a better post-game fit.
On that note, does anyone with the deck know what the official DA Fool card is?
Sera is The Fool.

I think what I was originally wondering is whether we have gotten Morrigan wrong or Flemeth wrong. Was she really that terrible of a mother? Or was it that, yes, she was a terrible mother, but only because she is a goddess and needed to prepare Morrigan for becoming a goddess. Goddess first, who cares about mothering? Urgh... well, that certainly fits in with NPD right there.
It pretty obvious they don't. But I can't say I'm surprised. If you look at the elven culture in previous games intimacy on that level is rather 'sacred'. Merrills a virgin, and the romance between the Dalish elves in DA:O is just 'kindergardensih'. They haven't even kissed.
And then that's without Solas little dillemma of knowing its wrong all along...
BTW; I just made a rather interesting discovery. Maybe it's old news but its new for me. During my latest playthrough I'm playing an elven female mage that's intended for Cullen (Have to try his romance after all, being the fangirl I am) I've just reached the attack at Haven wich my IQ says Corry can have her if it saves the village. Now to my discovery; when I made that line with my Solas romancing elf he dissaproved rather strongly but this time theres no reaction from him, neither good nor bad. i thought then that it was beacuse my IQ carried the mark, but maybe that wasn't why...
I find that very interesting...

I just reloaded a human mage save (surprised I actually had one at an appropriate point) and he Disapproved when I said Cory could have me.
Hmm. Weird.

Aww not so interesting

Also, in the Tower card .. the wolf is huge, black ... like that's his dominant personality now. In the romance card the wolf is smaller, the elf is larger. Or maybe I'm reading too much into that.
I noticed that too and wondered if it symbolized anything.
I think it's proof that the romance meant something to him.
I don't think that's entirely fair. My boyfriend kisses me passionately, grabs my butt and cuddles/snuggles close every time I give him half a chance, but we've never had sex. He knows I'm fearful of sex and is really sensitive to my reactions. If I show the least bit of hesitation or pull away, he asks if I'm okay and/or eases up. He's also used to delaying perssonal gratification (he can go 72 without eating without feeling too bothered or close to 24 hours without sleeping if he's really busy, and sleeps only 4 -6 hours on average anyway.) Imagine an immortal god who is so intuned with the world (the Fade, spirits, memories, emotions, and magic connected to it) and whose people "lived at a pace that sustained ourselves for ages."
Solas does kiss Lavellan very passionately every chance he gets, but only after Lavellan makes it clear she's ready and willing (her kissing him in the Fade, her assuming a coy, girlish flirt pose in anticipation of another kiss on the balcony and then whispering, "Don't go" when he turns away, them sharing a mutually loving moment in Crestwood), and he pulls back every time. No matter how intense, Solas makes it clear he can and will pull away any time.
I think this is where personal imagination and our perceived Lavellan comes in. If you picture her being just as eager or desiring to do... the deed... then I think Solas would be all over her like hot fudge on a sundae. I think that if she didn't want to and/or showed any hint of fear, nervousness, or hesitation, he would pull back, go at a pace she was comfortable with, and make it clear "only when you're ready."
I personally have no problem imagining they didn't do it, because I picture my Lavellan being fearful, nervous, and hesitant at the prospect of sex, and I simply can't see Solas pushing her or overwhelming her with passion if she wasn't ready. But, that's just my interpretation. If you can see your Lavellan responding differently, more power to you. That's why there are just as many hints that they did do it as hints that they didn't.

Yeah, I think the romanced tarot is The Fool? Some have said hierophant, but I'm not sure I understand why...because the wolf is white? Or? And what does Female Lavellan's tarot card correspond to? I was thinking maybe The World, but I don't know enough about tarot. Curious what others think.
Yeah, officially it's The Hierophant, Sera is officially The Fool, but the artwork on Solas' romance card is almost identical to that of The Fool, white canine included.
I find this really interesting, and sweet...guys! Lets talk about this!

It's Hierophant. Each of the cards has the name written on it. Fem!Lavellan is the four of coins. Male!Lavellan is the five of coins, if people are interested in him, too.
About the Solas disaproval during In Your Heart Shall Burn (general question for anyone). Was Solas in your party? Did you already have pretty high approval with him?

It's the Hierophant - my deck says it very clearly on the card. I'll have to check Lavellan's...I think hers is the High Priestess. ninja'd. XD
Sorry to burst your bubble! I thought it was interesting as well but had vague memories of my human playthrough(s) so I thought I would double check.

High Priestess is Viv.

For mine, when he disapproved of me giving myself to Cory, he was in my party and I know I had positive approval with him. Varric approved and he was also in my party. No other party members had reactions (I forget who my 4th member was).

Hmmm... I may need to try getting low approval with him and trying it myself. He may disaprove of a Quizzy he likes sacrifcing themselves.

Interesting thing about the Four of Pentacles/Four of Coins:
Sometimes, the Four of Pentacles can indicate an inflexible attitude that is resistant to change. You have already established a way of living that now works for you, so why change? Change appears to be a threat to your certainty, safety and security, and may place you at risk of losing all that is important to you. Any suggestion of doing things differently is therefore going to be met with resistance for fear of how it will impact your personal sense of security. Thus, you are more likely to favour tradition and tried-and-tested ways of doing things, rather than taking any risks at this point.
Also:
The 4 of Pentacles can be a card about holding on to things, people, money, or situations longer than is healthy or realistic.
Now, I'd say this'd fit a (traditional) Dalish rather well.

Interesting! I keep meaning to do more research into tarot to find the symbolism used for each character/monster. Do all of the Coins/Pentacles have to do with change? Because all the Quizzy cards are in that suit.

I think only people in your current party will have approval changes at that point because I recruit everyone and no one other than Solas and Varric (who were in the active party) had any approval changes.

I never noticed that the wolf had such adorable ears! ![]()
Also, I love Solas' outfit in that pic, I hope we see him wearing that or something similar in game.
It looks so noble, I bet it's what he used to wear in ancient times and court intrigue!
I think she has as high as you can get by that point in the game. Has done anything 'honerably'.
Maybe he wasn't in the party then. Usually he's always there, so its hard to say. Moust be it though, if nobody else has gotten the same result...
Back to the drawing board then...

Honestly, I never checked. Was only ever interested in the major arcanas. What are the other Quizzy cards? I could look them up.

I'm sorry, but DID YOU SEE THIS? 'Cause you should.
