I can't remember the last time I drew something before today, it was ages ago, and I didn't use to do it very often even then. It's true that now it's not a great time for me and I have to keep my mind busy all the time, but this thread and solas played their part in getting me back into drawing.

I haven't drawn anything since... wow... since we moved from Germany. I didn't realize it had been that long. That was three years ago. I will start anew. Solas is worth the effort. Besides, I want to see if I still know how.

I think the patch was referring to All New, Faded For Her. People were having issues where they couldn't complete the quest because the Pride Demon was stomping around during a conversation or something like that.

Yep it was.

 

Someone in the patch thread said they had What Lie Dormant trigger.  I didn't expect it to be fixed this patch.  Only checked because someone said they got it.  I haven't seen anyone else say it works.

I know someone who made it trigger, and I was like TELL ME YOUR SECRETS. She said activate ten, go back to where you found the first one, activate the other one there. And here I am, having activated ALL OF THEM and nothing. I'm trying to bring Solas to every single one of them, thinking that might help.

So I'm writing something, and I need input:

 

This is after In Hushed Whispers. Solas was thrown aside by the demon and I literally screamed at the TV, but I had to write down my idea. Terrwyn is really shaken up by the whole ordeal, and she just glomps Cassandra and Solas because she had to watch them die and now SURPRISE it's all okay. How do you think Solas would react to the embrace, especially whenever they have touched previously it was only in battle as they passed each other potions or stood back to back? I'm thinking he would utterly freeze up and be unsure of what to do - I'm drawing from my own personal experience, however. Thoughts?

 

I think you're right, he would freeze up a bit at first. After, I think he would hesitantly cup the back of her head and put his other hand on her shoulder. No full hugs from Solas that early in the relationship, but I think he would do those little gestures because they would comforting, but not intimate enough to possibly cause misunderstanding. At that point, the magical surprises talk could happen, Terrwyn pulls away after thanking him for "not being most people ;)" and Solas' hand would linger a bit on her shoulder as she pulls away.

Wait, what?  What other one there.  I've only had one of them show up in that cave.

 

And in any case, if this is what we need to do, it is bogus that there is nothing in the quest log about it.  Also, the Prima guide says that after ten, you must complete a War Table mission.

Did they at least say if there's any cool extra dialogue? Cutscene?

He just takes a FULL butt grab and leaves? You don't go for the full butt grab like that when you ain't committed.

I have just asked in that thread to the person how exactly they unlocked it. I hope they reply!

I really really don't wanna have to restart a new game... Unfortunately when I found out about it I had already passed Measuring the Veil and got no previous save!

And if I do, it has to be worth it (as in, extra cutscene.. not sure if just extra dialogue will do).

ARGH, I gotta go to bed, but I know I won't be able to sleep now. I didn't play today in the hope the patch was released later xD

I went to visit my best friend over the long weekend and brought all my DA:I saves with me since she's also a crazy BioWare fan.  We played through her Cullen romance scenes first (which were precious and dopey), and then I showed her the Solas romance.

 

After the breakup, she just stared at the screen.  Then she turned to me and said, "Dump him.  He's a d***bag."

That is how the quest is supposed to activate. So apparently working as intended.

Nope, no counter. I simply activated one in the Hissing Wastes before going to Skyhold and, when I got there, I received the War Table mission.

I'm on a fairly new save (just reached Skyhold, only activated the Orbs in the Hinterlands), so I'm going to give this a try.  Thanks.

I just unlocked the quest What Lies Dormant (Solas' personal quest). Seems like they fixed it!

Yeah I suspect I won't be able to get it to work in this PT.  I have done more than 10 of the artifacts already.  But I know there's an amazing person in this thread that mapped every single one in the game, so I'll take Solas out to find the ones I missed using their maps.  I don't know when I will do this, but I will share my outcome when I do.

Just had a thought. I'm sure someone else has brought it up in the bowels of this thread, but...

There are several legends of elves calling on Fen'harel as a last resort. There's even one where the petitioner is doing it specifically to get with a romantic interest.

I wonder if it ever occurs to Lavellan to try that, post-game. I wonder what would happen if she did.

Very good to hear!  I'd be impatient for this patch on consoles, but since this last patch apparently broke crafting, I think I can wait.
