Ok he/she replied! I will have to try this tomorrow. I don't think I have reached 10 orbs yet since i've only been to storm coast, crestwood, exalted plains and emerald graves.. and hinterlands.. Oh god I hope I didn't bork it by already activating 10 before the fix
 

"I simply collected the orbs and then I received a War Table mission called "Measure the Veil Strength" or something like that. After I completed the mission, I received the quest "What Lies Dormant".

 

I hope it was because of the patch, and not a bug of the bug.  :P"

This worked for me! I hadn't collected all 10 of the artifacts yet, so I took Solas around and we did that together. Went back to Skyhold to the War table and sure enough it's there.

Oh my. Any chance that this will also trigger when you just collect one more in case you already have, say, a LOT more than 10 activated? :/

Ah... Well, shoot. Is it a missable mosaic piece? I really don't mind returning to places I've already explored at a later time.

Anyone interested in a fun art project?

I’ve been inspired by a Tumblr thing I’ve seen several times over the last few weeks on my dash and thought with all the creative types around here it might be fun for us as a group to do.

I’m always down for finding new music, and so many of us have personal playlists that we have in mind when we think of Solas, our Lavellan, the romance, or just Dragon Age in general.

I thought we could do CD Covers of our playlists. If you search for Solas Lavellan Playlist on tumblr you’ll see what I have in mind. Whoever wants to participate will each create our own personal playlist along with cover-art and a track listing. I think it’d be a fun side project and I’m dying to see everyone’s music tastes. You don’t have to “Draw” anything, I’m certainly not going to- and it can be whatever you want.

Thanks for the link! Looking at it, hmm... Maybe it's just a really really difficult jump puzzle? I'm going to take a crack at it once I get to that area. Thankfully it's not in a one-time dungeon. Completionist run is still go!

 

 

In other Solas-related news, my cousin informed me last night that he rolled a female elf specifically to romance Solas for his fourth playthrough. He knows about the sads, mostly because I pestered him about how heartbroken I was for a while and had him watch the romance scenes. I'm looking forward to his reaction playing through the whole thing himself.

I prefer to play the game as much as intended, and I dislike having to fiddle with the settings.  I'm good with waiting, there's plenty of other things to do in the meantime.  The quest itself looks pretty much what I expected; I figured it would be something like the "find objects and kill things" personal quests others had but Solas was noticeably lacking.  I'm just glad we can finally access it.
