'When the world was young, Korth the Mountain-Father kept his throne at the peak of Belenas, the mountain that lies at the center of the world, from which he could see all the corners of earth and sky." Can't help but be reminded of the theories about Arlathan having been buried in the center of the Earth, and the Black City being its reflection in the center of the Fade. Also, all that evidence we have that ties elven gods to the Frostbacks. Skyfall and Mythal's Temple of Sacred Ashes.
"He sent avalanches and earthquakes to torment the tribes of men." Elgar'nan's Song talks about fighting back against the earthquakes.
"Gods and men rose up against him, calling him a tyrant, but with no heart, Korth could not be slain." Reminds me of the Sun, or our theories about Solas.
Hmm.
Time to investigate the Avvar.
My guess is that when humanity showed up, the Creators saw them the same way the Dalish legends paint the early Elvhen. Somewhat barbaric, clueless. (Okay, so the Neromenians had the logistical and nautical knowledge to sail from Par Vollen to Seheron to Nocen Bay, all while moving a truly enormous amount of people. So they were already pretty talented. Then again, so were the pre-Creator elves, as well.) So the Creators (some of them) took them under their wing, nurturing and demanding their worship in similar ways, just under different names.
The Avvar have a trickster, don't they?
