I've never seen that! It's got to be intentional.
I thought I was looking way into it. You can find it in a small cave in Exalted Plains near the Dalish camp area.

So it's kinda like Solas and Lavellan had a child >.>
A child that got sent back some 20, 30 years into the past ala-Alexius time magic?
Headcanon'd.
She must! She simply must! It truly is different experiencing the romance first hand. She's going to love the little bits in between the romance scenes, the party banter, and the spaces she can fill with her headcanon. Let us know when (not if, when, it's not up for debate
) she starts playing and what she thinks about it!
I have a younger sister myself, and she's well on her way to becoming a Dragon Age fan. She's been playing on her Human Noble Warden for a while, but she recently told me that she made a Dalish Warden because she was "so inspired by Solas and Lavellan". I don't know about you guys, but that amuses me to no end.
The romance ushered one Dalish Warden into creation. Solavellan game strong.
She might play DA:I again. I hope she does anyway.
My sister is currently replaying Dragon Age: Origins and this time she's playing a Dalish Warden because of all the elfy stuff we got in DA:I and trying to look for clues regarding elven gods and what not (her first Warden was a female Cousland). ![]()

Or, get this: maybe Mahariel's parents ARE Solas and Lavellan who travelled to the past for whatever reason? But we know how Mahariel's parents' story ended. ![]()
EDIT: Don't ask details on how Solas would eventually become Keeper Mahariel or how Lavellan eventually ended up with another clan (Ashalle mentioned Mahariel's mother was from another clan). This is all just for good fun. It would make for some crazy fanfiction though. xD
Just occurred to me, probably a different thread that would be better to post this in but screw that, the Solas thread is where all the cool kids are. Anyway: Remember during Witch Hunt Finn needs Dalish blood to find the Lights of Arlathan, this along with Kieran's comment to Lavellan about them having old blood...
I don't actually have a point here, just pointing out two similar things.

Them having a baby is as weird to me as Zeus choosing to turn into a bull and crossing the sea as a bull. I'm leaning towards the theory that elvhens are different from modern elves. They didn't do livebirth. They simply form into being like Cole. If not like manifestation, they're made of something different. What if elves can't make halflings because they don't pass physical traits but spiritual traits?
edit: nvm, they're probably the same.

I'd just handwave the explanation away with the useful phrase, "Wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey..."

What is it with Ferelden and their greatest heroes sailing off into the Amaranthine Ocean?
Or just wandering off in general?
http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Avvar
Also, there's four major Avvar gods.
Korth the Mountain Father
The Lady of the Skies
Haakon Wintersbreath
Imhar the Clever
There's three Forgotten Ones plus Fen'harel.
Just saying.
I'm still packing and sorting all this stuff in my head (so no doubt things will shift as other bits fall into place) but given that we have strong indication that Solas / Andruil / Ghil / June were on the same side of the anti-Elgar'nan alliance during the fall of Arlathan, Sigfost being Dirthamen and Imhar being Falon'Din seems like a plausible fit in the Avvar pantheon.
Not that that gives us any useful insight. Just more tenuous connective threads.

That's it. That's the DLC. But... Papa Mahariel...
Unheadcanon'd. ![]()
Bringing back the reverse sads. Spoiler'd for gif size.
I'm not sure if this one has been posted before, but while I was walking in Exalted Plains I found this:
Spoiler
In the middle there is Fen'harel, The Dread Wolf book and on the side there's a skull with tentacles looking a lot like this:
This has probably been done before. Maybe I'm just looking iinto it waayy too much.
So, question - am I missing something, or is there basically no Solas scenes between the balcony scene and the breakup? Seems a bit quiet.
There's the dance at the ball

I haven't seen this gif before. cannot stop watching.
Edit: Instead of pulling away suddenly, it now looks like he suddenly grabbed her bottom lip with his mouth.

OR THE CUDDLING. Mind you, the cuddling looked unusual but it was still a cuddle.
Closing a rift in the Hissing Wastes. And Iron Bull decides to tell Cole his "Candy" plan in the middle of things. Guys, I know this is getting to be routine now, but please focus. There's two Pride Demons and partridge in a pear tree on the field. Bull and Cole then proceed to go down. What did I say... Lavellan and Solas finish things up. While Lavellan closes the rift, Solas rezzes the other two, and I swear he looks so exasperated while he's doing it. ![]()

It was some Fenris powered cuddling lolz.

PFFTFWA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
I don't know why, that was the funniest thing I've read all day! ![]()
I'm dying! Solas! Need a rez!

It rather touched Lavellan's heart, as it were.
Ah, I hope they patch that soon, though. It's a really romantic alternative that suits the couple well, much as I love being able to dance with Solas at an actual ball.
They do! I've been analysing Tyrdda Bright Axe's poem and will post my findings/ questions/ theories later this week. Because graduate school started again today. Yay? But seriously, I think the Avvar are a big clue and their mythology appears to have an equivalent of Elgar'nan, Mythal, Falon'din, Dirthamen, and Fen'Harel.
Even before the reveal that she was also Mythal, I've long suspected that Flemeth and the Lady of the Skies were one and the same.
Given how they practice summoning spirits and all manner of arcane practices without taboo, which are right up her alley, I could see Mythal having entered into their legends as the Lady. Then when she was betrayed, murdered and forced to find some way to survive, took refuge with them through the centuries? Then after the Alamarri split into the Avvar and Chasind, she followed the latter south to the Korcari Wilds, where she's been ever since?
It rather touched Lavellan's heart, as it were.

It was one of those decisions where you personally would rather cuddle but he just seem excited about dancing
Right? His voice is just so cheerful when he asks you to join him before the band stops playing. It's difficult to say no to that tone, haha.
And... this would be the exact moment in time where my Lavellan realized she was in love with Solas.
Mine was when he said "thank you" after the first flirt in Haven...I could not get over the expression on his face of surprise and pleasure, and all was lost.
Yet another 'clue' for us to find on a subsequent playthrough and feel stupid for not noticing
Really, they practically hit us over the head with them. It's kind of hilarious, actually.
Did you also read the scratchings on the wall to the left of that bench? Creepy, but maybe pertinent. I took a screenshot of "the boys" in that nook. ![]()

My Solas moment isn't as cute as everyone else's were and are, but.... I chose an elf after having such a grand time as Mahariel in Origins; plus, I figured it would be either Cullen or Solas for me. The elves always tend to steal my heart somehow, but Cullen interested me since he was a familiar face. Anyway I was basically liveblogging the entire prologue for an interested friend, and then here come Solas and Varric. Solas grabs my Lavellan's hand and I'm like "Ohoho, aren't you cute then." My friend informs me that Solas and my Lavellan are basically destined for each other now by the laws of romance stories everywhere; the one you meet and interact with first is the one. Though I'm not a fan of that trope, how right she was. How right she was.
