What was the prerequisite to trigger "What Lies Dormant" again? Was it just going to the Hinderlands to activate the first artifact? Do we have to collect more? I don't see it trigger on my PS4.

I took Solas out and got one of the artifacts I hadn't activated yet. As soon as I activated it the war mission popped up "Measuring the Veil". After you do that (19hr) mission "What Lies Dormant" becomes available.

Omg I might not have any artifacts left T.T

I tried Knight-Enchanter yesterday for the first time. Oh. My. God. It's not just overpowered, it's insane! The only downside is that enemies tend to kick me down on the floor, so it's kill-kill-kill-roll-on-the-floor-kill-kill-kill. Knight-Enchanter kills everyone. Knight-Enchanter got a permanent barrier(sort of). Knight-Enchanter looks cool. Knight-Enchanter never runs out of mana. Knight-Enchanter protects Solas. It's not "hey, me and Solas - two Rift Mages together!", but it's still great.

 

You know, I wish that Presence from the Arcane Warrior quest in DAO could've seen one of his people doing that combat stance. I think it would have been proud.

So I just got Solas's comment about the shadow goddess that drove the Alamarri. From my poor memory,

"The Alamarri crossed the Frostbacks, fleeing a shadow goddess. I found the spirit that drove them away, wandering the southern tundras, weeping, afraid. Great Ferelden formed because a lonely spirit drove her prey away."

That's...very interesting. Prey? How exactly was she preying on them? And why wander the southern tundras? She must have crossed past the Alamarri and gone into the tundra, since they fled from the North.

I don't think "art" means "being able to reproduce (anatomy) on paper"...

 

I agree. To me it's rather being able to conjure a feeling in the watcher/beholder.

Finaly were able to play the Dorian quest last night. Must say i like him even more after that _{(always liked him from the start, he's sassy)}

So that makes it Solas, Cullen, Dorian and Cole for me. 

Sadly no sight of Solas's "What lies dormant" quest...  _{(for a previously played character)}

 

And speaking of art. Haven't drawn anything in... 2 years (!) _{(has it really been that long?)} 

Would like a good reference model to work from for Solas... suggestions?

I was entirely against Knight Enchanter before. Wasn't even considering it. But you may have just sold me on this path for Serenity's spec. Too bad she's a filthy human, though. Hope Solas doesn't lecture her about it.

Aaah! So frustrated! A few weeks ago I edited a worldstate in the Keep, and that's the one I'm using for my Solasmance PT, only when I exported it, I didn't noticed that it had COMPLETELY RANDOMIZED ITSELF! I didn't find out until after talking with Hawke hearing about the wrong Warden, and I had completely wiped clean the Hinterlands, even sneaking into Lady Shayna's Valley to collect the shards so I could go as far as possible into the Temple of Pride (Almost cleaning out the Forbidden Oasis in the process), did all quests in Fallow except These Demons are Clever, and did everything possible in the Storm Coast, AND this is the first time I love the looks of my character! Then I get to Skyhold and find out that my worldstate is wrong!? Ugh! I don't want to restart because I want to finally finish the Solasmance, but this is going to bug the hell out of me the whole rest of the playthrough.

I think Kinloch Hold was built by the Avvar. Which makes all the magical weirdness going on there quit interesting. And it's probably why the Vints drove them out in the first place. Magical weirdness is kind of their thing.

So I'm just going to throw out a crazy hat theory that's just now popped into my head. 

6625 after its founding, Arlathan is lost.

5185 years after Arlathan was founded, the Alamarri fled modern-day Tevinter and the Neromenian tribes, citing a 'shadow goddess'. They skipped through all the pleasant, arable lands of modern Orlais and the Free Marches and Nevarra, and crossed the Frostbacks, just to get away from whatever happened.

'Shadow goddess' could be Falon'din being so pretty they mistook him for a lady. Or it could be Andruil, twisted by the Void and 'wielding weapons of darkness'.

As someone just posted, the shadow goddess is a spirit that Solas met and can tell you about. Maaybe he's using a veiled reference to Andruil, but he seems to pity this spirit.

 

Solas sure has grabby hands. And you do know what they say about big hands...

Solas and Lavellan can have a conversation about that where she says that very thing and he agrees. You have to get the spec before doing All New Faded for Her or the convo won't trigger.

 

About water as conductor: It's possible there's something about water being a conductor of magical energies. There's the Well of Sorrows, which as Colonel pointed out isn't unique since Lake Calenhad seems to be one big one. Blood carrying magical power also.
