Fereldans can claim Andraste to be one of their own. The country was founded by King Calenhad, who carries the blood of dragons. Their rebellion against the Orlesian Empire, the strongest country in Southern Thedas, succeeded. They managed to stop a full-on Blight with just two wardens (ok, three) within a year.

 

I don't know, Ferelden seems pretty ok to me. I'm more of a country person though, admittedly.

They probably take it as a compliment. Anything to distinguish them from complicated cutthroat Orlais.

I make sure that I go around collecting power in huge amounts (50-60) so that I can do Crestwood, Here Lies the Abyss, and Wicked Eyes all in one shot. 

 

I really like the flow of the story and how it just rolls from Abyss into the conversation with Leli and talknig about going to the ball. It feels like I'm doing it backwards or in the wrong order when I go to the ball first.

So IQ does become the new Andraste, the saviour of humanity, through love... Actually I think Solas's cards support this. No love he becomes the black beast that will consume the world, love and he becomes the hierophant strangely becalmed in an idyllic garden.

 

Hmmm, just reading Wikipedia a suggested synonym for Hierophant is Pontifex or bridge builder and I note there are several broken bridges throughout the game.

 

See, I want it to be an approval check for a decent ending with Solas rather than "did you romance him or not" especially after playing Adaar who has somehow managed to befriend him.  Regardless of romance, a friendly quizzy surprises him, and IMO a non-romanced quizzy's dialogue options can challenge Solas in really interesting ways.

 

It would probably be easier to change his mind with romanced Lavellan; for example, Dorian's romance quest is a lot easier playing as Adaar.  But I'd like to have Solas around again as a friend too, if only because Adaar will miss his weird Fade bro.

Since we're sharing Final Fantasy music in relation to Solas and Lavellan, have you heard Erutan's (katethegreat19) own rendition of Suteki Da Ne? Lyrics are not a translation of the original lyrics but it's just as sad and heartbreaking. And the song itself is sung quite nicely. 

Oh, that song brings back memories!  Lovely cover. 

 

1000 Words from FFX-2 fits nicely too; there are slightly different lyrics for Japanese and English versions, but the sentiment works well - dreams, words used to cover lies, lonely years.  Maybe good for a post-game DLC inspiration.

He leaves before it can be resolved one way or the other. Not to mention your romance has a lot more to talk about due to his god status and lore, and being involved with the main plot.

 

Cass has that last one, but she's no god. At most there's wondering about what she said about spirits of faith, and what or who the "divine" was in the fade.

 

So you've got sads, but at least there's that.

Aww, this video's great. Never saw this spliced version before.  And yes, 1000 Words does fit the Solavellan relationship really well.

 

Watching the video made me think, what if Solas and Lavellan's romance ended like Shuyin and Lenne's? Ugh! Now that would be tragic.
