And I can't bring myself to do her mission where I have to kill the rare snowy wyvern.  I'm not going to go out and kill something unless you tell me what it's for!!

I actually agree with your assessment on Cass 100 percent. My only problem is that Cass is duty bound, and i can't help but think she'd be resentful for not getting the chance to change things, especially when it is reliant on my support.

Basically damned if you do damned if you don't.

I really hope the next big bad is Falon'din, or at least I hope we'll see him as Solas' nemesis. Badass gods-war is badass.

Here is another favourite romance poll, if you want to give solas some love <3

My Lavellan hates killing things..people she's fine with..but animals...no...unless they attack her first.  I hated killing that dragon for that guy in the Hissing Wastes.  Poor dragon thought she was going to get an easy meal...nope..I had to swoop down upon her and kill her...and we all know that swooping is BAD!!

And killing those dragons just because they were standing infront of something I needed... poor dragons. I just come in and invade their homes, killing them.   I'm ranting and rambling now. Grrrr!!

Nope, she is not. I know because... I know.

She does not want this, so part of her will be thankful for being saved. Besides, she knows she is not good for politics. She's better at acting than talking. In the end, all Divine ruling is worth nothing if you have people like Lord Seeker Lucius or Celene at the "basis" who don't care about the people or about justice much. That's basically Tevinter then. Cass should be the force to make things happen. And if she disagrees with the Divine she will not follow blindly, which is also extremely important. There's too few of such people to remove those we have by putting them in chains.

I just wanted to mention this itty bit of information.

SPOILER

People have been discussing who Solas's "people" are.

After the Orlesian Ball if you have made curtain decisions regarding Briala, you can have a possible conversation with Solas, where Levellan apoligizes for Briala's fate, the conversation then goes on to Solas explaining how he doesn't feel he has anything in common with the elves, and that they aren't "his people"

if you ask him who his people are, he sways the conversation and sais it isn't important.

therefore my theory is when he is refering to saving "his people" to simply put it I think he is refering to the elven "gods"

You don't have to kill a single dragon if you don't like.

Ignore the landmark and the Ocularum (or send a rogue with the invisibility ability).

Let the sleeping dragons sleep.

Live without one more agent for the inquisition.

Kill not a single dragon.

You can make any moral choice you want.

Fair enough, though to me personally, she doesn't really seem like the type that needs to be saved, or wants to be. She seems like she knows what she wants to do well enough.

Yes. And she does not want to be Divine. :)

Edit: Besides, the question was if she would resent you and I think the answer is no. Cass is not a sissy, she will not be unfair only because you support someone else.

Ha, did you see her clip when she's drunk after you support the mages and get her disposition low enough? :P (I never did though. Youtube.)

She's no sissy, but I wouldn't doubt she could resent you at least some if she felt that she missed out on her purpose.

I'll let you respond after and leave it there so we don't take over the Solas thread with Cass feels, lol.

Re: Wikispaces

I had these made earlier for the wiki, and I see now that there's a Mordin banner/holder. I didn't know if you guys wanted to use this instead or use that, and whatever is fine. I expected to have some form of table of contents made, but I wanted to send this through first for approval. IF you guys prefer to keep the Mordin graphic and header, that's totally fine, and it wont hurt my feelings at all.

Madar, or whoever, as well. I used the join code and added myself under Avejajed and made myself an organizer using Sovellan. Thanks for the input via pm.

It is possible! But a bit more likely that he's referring to the elvhen- the ancient elves, not necessarily the elven gods. Otherwise he would probably have referred to them as 'the others' or some other honorific when talking about it with Flemeth/Mythal. Instead he still refers to them as 'the people'.

Thinking about how Solas' romance scenes are few and far between compared to, say Cullen's (only other romance I've gone through with), I think it's because, unlike Cullen, Solas' romance arc isn't over yet. He leaves before it can be resolved one way or the other. That and the fact our romance locks in only at the point where he breaks up with our Lavellan tells me it's probably not the last we're going to get romance-wise.

*waving tiny team optimist flag*

This is why I loved Solas being my first romance. The absolute moment killing hilarity of my sad Lavellan standing there when PING! Beloved and Precious trophy unlocked. GEE, THANKS BIOWARE. I AIN'T FEELING TOO BELOVED AND PRECIOUS RIGHT ABOUT NOW.

It did kill all the sadness of the moment because I lol'd so damn much. One for the gaming memories.

Cass' romance was good enough that I now favor her over Morrigan... which says a lot since I was and still am a big Morrigan fangirl. But Cass is just so... imperfectly perfect. I don't know, but she presses all my buttons. Badass, not afraid to be a ****** when she needs to, but has a surprisingly soft side under all of that.

Biggest thing is wondering what to do with her and the seekers and the divine issue. I'd rather not give her to those chucklefuck orlesians. They don't deserve her. But at the same time, I don't want her resenting me for not supporting what she herself wants to do. So I'm more inclined to make her divine.

Her romance card stays the same if you don't break up with her and she's made divine, so like you all for Solas, I still have hope for the future despite the initial split up.

Cassandra is my favourite DA lady

In my Male Lavellan run I really wanted Leliana (un-hardened) to be Divine and Cass to go rebuild the Seekers. I had sided with the Mages, told Cass to rebuild, and told Leliana she should be Divine. I thought it would be a given that it would go to plan.

Ah. nope. Cass ninja'd her way to becoming Divine instead.

I don't mind though. A Southern Thedas where the Divine is BFFs with a sassy gay elf is the best kind of Southern Thedas.

Should be able to just run away. Watch out for fireballs, lol. You can run from the others. Had to do that with the Frostback one a few times I tried her too early.

So I've been re-reading The Masked Empire and an exchange between Bria and Felassan towards the end of the book really made me have thoughts (and they're lovely thoughts - like little butterflies).

When Bria claims the eluvians for elves of Oralais she uses the story of Fen'Harel and the Tree as her inspiration as she plans to use the chaos caused by two sides fighting to work for the freedom of her people.  She tells Felassan 'I think Fen'Harel would've approved'.  Felassan's reply?  He laughs and tells 'He might have, although I very much doubt it.'

When I first read TME I assumed that there was a lot we didn't know of the elven gods and Felassan, being an ancient elf, knew a lot more than Bria did.  So I assumed that Bria had a very safe view of Fen'Harel and the real Fen'Harel had delighted in war.  It was a fair assumption.  The ending of the book implies Felassan was working for, and killed by, Fen'Harel.

Obviously, that changed with DAI.

So I've been thinking about what Felassan meant with that line.  Solas doesn't approve of the chaos caused by war.  He's the party member to talk about the refugees in Hinterlands and say the Inquisition should help them.  I think that the line is referring to that aspect of Solas' character.  He cares about the little people (he and Sera really should get along better than they actually do...) and drawing out a war to gain freedom goes against everything Solas now stands for.

But I'm curious: do other people think that line lends weight to the 'Fen'Harel killed Felassan' theory?  Or not?

EDIT: Should clarify.  I'm very, very against the 'Solas killed Felassan' theory.  Given his disinterest in the eluvian network in DAI it doesn't fit with the 'murder a follower because they failed you' thing.

He has a banter line disapproving of people using the chaos of war to further their own agenda, interestingly enough, so I think Briala was probably wrong. Although he is clever at taking a chaotic situation, and taking advantage of an opportunity out of necessity.. For example, encouraging the Quizzy to take the lead of the Inquisition. He does this, but notice he also disapproves of a Quizzy he doesn't like if they are arrogant about it (thinking of their followers as sheep). Maybe the difference is some people actually will cause conflict deliberately for power, so perhaps he doesn't like that aspect.

I don't know if he killed Felassan or not, but I think either he did, or an adversary of his did.

The timing for that achievement is so good. I went from being close to tears to silently laughing like a weirdo at my desk; I almost missed taking a screenshot of it because it surprised me, haha. I'll probably remember that moment for a while, especially since I had just been wondering when I'd get the achievement on another forum before I got to that point...

I get to experience it again, actually, because I have the game on PS4 now and I'm playing my "canon" Inquisitor first. ...yay...?

I'm travelling with Solas and Vivienne in my party... didn't do it often previously. How good it is to finally hear Vivienne being mocked by a witty apostate... unlike every other companion, he knows what to say to embarass her and make her face her mistakes. I love him more and more^^
