The scene is pretty vague as far as if she is doing anything significant with the eluvian at that moment. I always just assumed she was about to go through it, or something until people started saying other theories. And it would be difficult to say there is anything to do with Kieran since he may not even exist in some playthroughs. The old God soul may not even be around anymore, unless she somehow sneakily stole it at the end on Origins, which would be unlikely.

 

I think it is her God essence since she intended it to be passed on to Morrigan.  Not everyone has the OGB, it just makes more sense to me that it would be something that is the same for every player.  Or it could be something like she did in DAO if you killed her, and then Hawke brings her back.  I have no way to prove I am right, but I have an easier time believing that is what was going on.

Anybody know what Solas says to Sera when she just makes **** noise at him? 

I'm especially interested in the last ones "Fen'hides Lasa" Sound like he's cursing at her. And as we all know Fen is wolf so...

I know BioWare misses stuff sometimes and makes mistakes.  But I think Solas walking away, the romance locking in at that point, has to be deliberate.  Wishful thinking I am sure, but it's probably like Fenris breaking it off in DA2.  Well except this time we don't have the option to start a romance with someone else once that happens (unless you broke it off with Solas before he could) and I am sure that is for keeping the system side of things conflict free (Keep only recognizes one romance).

I don't think it was.  They have a tarot card only for the romance. It was deliberately done.  It's going to mean something down the road. What, I don't know(though I hope it's not just some extra dialogue ****).  I hope it actually means something.  I sound like I'm fighting you, but I'm not.  I'm agreeing with you.   I also hope there is an option we can dramatically yell at him and break it off.  Like I would want to see that.  Not that's how I would want my canon playthrough to go but there are things...things that need to be said.

That's for normal people. Those of us, who live in Poland and Russia, have to be inventive, because we are deprived of an option to bloody change language in game.

 

I think the main reason for that is price of DAI in Poland and Russia - it's cheaper than in US (AFAIK).

Question for you all!

Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts. When do you guys jump into that quest? Before or after Here Lies The Abyss?

I went for after in my first run because I was all excited for Hawke and so went running through that whole quest before I gave Wicked Eyes a second glance. But this has continued to be the way that I run. It just seems more appropriate to get that whole Warden mess out the way (and not leave Hawke just standing around in Crestwood waiting for you  ) and then take a break from all the battling with some dancing around The Winter Palace. Then get Morrigan and immediately work on her advice to go to the Arbor Wilds. 

 

But looking at the trophies for this game, I noticed that Here Lies The Abyss is actually unlocked after Wicked Hearts in the storyline trophy order. Huh.

I don't think I could ever break the habit of doing it first.

I tend to just headcanon that the date set for the ball was a few months away ( Plenty of advance notice for these things so the nobles can get dresses made etc.) Therefore there was plenty of time to do everywhere else first. She certainly didn't spend the time sorting out a fancy outfit after all.

My first 2 PTs I always did Here Lies the Abyss first.  In my (canon) nightmare PT I did the ball first and I like the pace better.  It felt a little strange at first.  But I like how much more urgent everything feels when you deal with the Wardens and then do the Temple.  Plus if Alistair is your Warden and you did the Dark ritual .... he talks to Morrigan in the garden.  Easier to pull off if Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts was finished before starting any of Here Lies the Abyss.

 

I think from now on I'll be doing them in that order.

I do the ball first.  I have this very complicated headcanon which I will share because I'm bored:

1. I have an Alistair/Cousland Warden playthrough so I want Alistair there so he and Morrigan have their reunion pre-Adamant. It's adorable/silly and then Alistair says something amazingly adorable about telling Morrigan that he just stood there looking foolish.  I have so many feels and immediately wanted to boot up DA:O and hug everybody.

2. I headcanon that my Lavellan was really distraught after the ball.  I personally found the whole quest completely disquieting - a lot of fun - but I hated all three of the potential rulers. She ends up getting Briala/Celene back together and killing Gaspard because that's the best for the kingdom, but she feels gross doing it.  Solas is all happy about how amazing Lavellan was but she was like 'no, dude. i feel gross. i want to go home.' and he's all confused because she doesn't talk about feelings.  THEN after Adamant - she sides with the Wardens. She needs something to believe in. That there are heroes out there.  People wanting to be good and do good like Blackwall and Alistair.  He greatly disapproves in her naivite.  They fight afterwards and kind of just devolves into her just laying everything out on the table; how afraid she is she's ****** everything up, how she just wanted to be hunter, how frightened she is with the relationship and losing him(because feelings). It's really very dramatic. And then they sleep together.

 

So that's my canon timeframe.

Or we could say that the red lyrium is more inclined to corrupt the forgotten ones- by proximity, anyway, if we assume void is...down.

 

So maaaaaaaaaaaaaybe we'll get an ass load of corrupted evil gods. Or, if we think my theory is right that the forgotten ones are the dwarven dieties  and we'll get an ass load of corrupted dwarven..things!

 

Any chance you have a writeup outlining your theory, Ave?  My dwarf lore is horrible- I only have the vaguest idea of how they worked before Paragons / worship of the Stone, so I'm totally lost on the "dieties" idea.  @w@

Good point! But still, isn't Origin preventing you from selecting version of the game that isn't available for your country? My thought is - if you could choose Polish/Russian version and pay less, you'd buy it! Yet, I'll not pretend that I know how it all works... I can only guess. ;D

Fenedhis lasa is a curse but the first phrase "Ar dirthan'as ir elgara, ma'sula e'var vhenan" is unknown.

I'm not really sure about the first part "Ar dirthan'as ir elgara", it's something about knowledge and spirits but I haven't seen the 'as suffix before. My best guess is that it's something along the lines of "I have gained much knowledge [of our language] from spirits."

"ma'sula e'var vhenan" probably either means something like "listen with your elven blood" or "I speak through/from the heart of our people."

That's why I prefer Steam, it has more coherent boundaries, preventing people to use games in other regions. And that does not include gamers abuse by horrid translation-only. But I ramble off-topic, sorry.

Inquisitor Tiger Festival Lavellan: Dalish Huntress Scouting Tempest Archer type

Round 1:
Kitty: <skulks about the edge of the arena, waiting for Tiger to turn away>
Tiger Festival: I can smell you, yanno. Hella good tracker, me. <sniff> You smell like wet dog and cat. And dirt. And FREEEEEDOM! Just come out already!

This sort of exchange will continue until Kitty finally fires and reveals herself. Some boring auto-attacks follow while they dodge each other's arrows.

Round 2:
Tiger Festival: <Disgusted Noise> This is going nowhere. SPECIAL MOVE!! <Sets self on fire. Rushes Kitty for 3x Leaping Shot combo, but ends up launched into the air by faulty game mechanic flinging her off a tree.> Fenedhis!!

Well, you probably can imagine the rest. Tiger would likely end up landing somewhere in Antiva. It all works out though, since she always wanted to see Antiva City for herself.

Yup, it's an Origin problem, as far I know. Really a problem for people who live abroad in a country they don't know the language of (let's say a Finnish person living in Japan).

 

Although the good news is that Bioware support are open to tweak the version of the game for both EN voices and subtitles, once you buy it and install it on your PC. At least it worked for my partner, but he needed to contact BW directly. Don't know though if he just fell on a nice person or if it's standard procedure

For their plan of killing the old gods, who thanks to the star puzzles, we know (more or less) that the old gods either were the forgotten ones, or have some other connection to the elven pantheon. My money's on the former.
