Btw, does anyone has any theories why Solas is so much disapproving joining the Wardens into the Inquisition? I have a feeling he deeply hates them all and he's like: "go, just go (leave and never come back!)". I couldn't think of any good enough reasons. Thoughts?
Solas: The Wardens see themselves as the world's defense against the Blight, do they not?
Blackwall: Yes... why do you sound so skeptical? Doesn't everyone know this?
Solas: When an Archdemon rises, they slay it. What will they do when all the Archdemons are slain? Without Archdemons, there can be no Blights, is that the reasoning?
Blackwall: Right. Where are you going with this?
Solas: Nowhere. I hope they are correct.
Suddenly I want to make a drawing chatroom but it's a weekday.
Huh, it seems my Lavellan is the only one, who thought, that Morrigan drinking is not an option. From her perspective it was a rare opportunity to actually do something as a Keeper regarding her people's history. She wouldn't miss this one, Dalish are so touchy about collecting elven long lost knowlege.
*piece randomly clicks into place*
Not to drag this up again, but I would bet good money that the disappearance of the Barindur coincides almost exactly with Solas's first failed rebellion... making that particular story completely heartbreaking. He would have had no choice but to watch helplessly from the Fade as his guided people were massacred.
Do we have any idea where that falls on the timeline?
5900: The Neromenian tribes split and form four ancient kingdoms: Tevinter, Neromenian, Barindur, and Qarinus.
5990: The entire kingdom of Barindur vanishes. The humans of the day claim the city lost the favor of Dumat. Solas claims it was preserved underneath the volcanic ash.
My bad if this has been answered.
I seriously considered going that route, and my Lavellan almost did, but the nature of the sacrifice needed was too vague, and she could never willingly put any of her people (especially Solas cough cough) at risk for the sake of knowledge, especially since Morrigan was willing, and probably better equipped as far as he magic she had studied. My Lavellan would have just died if someone had been hurt because she was selfish.
DA series are about sacrifice, all in all, so I don't find this concept too unsettling. Also look at Merril. She was willing to take huge risk dealing with demon just to restore one eluvian. Sure, we can hear some pride speaking, but it was not entirely selfish decision.
I imagine my Lavellan was also very aware of her position in the world now when it came to the choice drinking or not drinking from the Well. The Inquisition turned into a very powerful and very influential force with her at the head. Mix that with the fact that she's starting to doubt everything she knew about the elven gods, and she really isn't keen on the idea of being a "slave" to one of them and having them possibly control her thoughts and actions. That could wind up not so good, because then Inquisition forces would be at someone else's beck and call whenever they so pleased. There were just too many dangerous variables and too much unknown, even if the knowledge was very tempting.

Hey I'd be willing to take part in that.
Theory time!
Dwarves And The Forgotten Ones!
*I promise lots of questions remain unanswered, no scientific knowledge was applied to this theory, and there are bound to be multiple inconsistencies.

I like all of this. ![]()
One factoid that may be useful: Beneath the Deep Roads proper, there's older, more primitive Deep Roads. The group in The Calling stumbles across them. Which points toward the dwarves having come from...where? Caves, I guess?
Another is that golems are present in the Primeval Thaig, while 'invented' by Caridin in the middle of the First Blight. He says the ancestors spoke to him in his journal. Perhaps the Forgotten Ones whispered to him of old technology and wonders?
Hey I'd be willing to take part in that.
Are you sure? I'll drawing nsfw stuff.

Trevelyan - Did
Personal Headcanon garbage below - I like hearing everybody's reasons. So fun.
It's Abelas time
Spoiler
I am like legit in love with this character. I seriously hope he returns. I think because we know nothing about him and I can just make him however I want him to be. Would probably break it off with Solas for this dude if given the option. (Sorry/Not Sorry). Ugh..Babelas.
Well, if you like the theory that the elven pantheon is connected to the old gods/archdemons, this conversation comes to mind:I'm with Blackwall. Where's he going with this? It sounds like he knows something. As for actual reasons for hating the Wardens, there is the possibility that they are possessed. Also, and much less likely, he might be worried that some of the Wardens might be aware of his involvement and rat him out. And for the record, I think there's a 0.1% chance of the being true, its just a thought.

As much as I love him too..I still love Solas more. Unless Solas is gone for good... *sniffles*

Awesome, It's going to be a draw-anything chat. Give me a few minutes to set it up
edit: Let me finish dinner first.
She was her own person. She belonged to the people of Thedas and they to her. So she didn't have much emotion about lost knowledge for her people -- to her it was lost the second the temple sealed and the guardians refused to share it. After Keeper Deshanna was made a city council member in Wycome and after Mythal, she knew that her people needed to let go of the past and move forward.
That's pretty much exactly why my Lavellan didn't drink either. On a meta level, part of it was me wanting her to be a relatively normal person compared to my other PCs. Aside from the Anchor (which she got through fate or sheer dumb luck depending on your perspective), she has no special powers.
So I have a question about the romance. I just did the Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts quest, and at the end, it didn't give me the option to dance with Solas. He hasn't kissed my Quizzie yet either. What gives? Can I still romance him? ![]()
