I FINALLY KISSED SOLAS!

I realized why I had never done it. I never looked through the icons for the options so I never saw the heart option. Now I get to romance my bald baby.

Though I did get the end of the romance spoiled because some people don't use spoiler tags here. -.-

This is where we come to cry, sympathize, discuss, and recover from the pain. Putting everything in spoiler tags would make it a pain to read anything here.

I copied and pasted our posts to a new wiki page: http://virdirthan.wi... Hybrid Disease

Needs extensive editing, but I have not time for that currently. Feel free to go about it please.

I hope I did not miss any posts when collecting the input.

And crap. I had a long post and now all of it suddenly disappears. *sighs* I hate my life sometimes. Plus, I'm kinda feeling too stupid to theorise with the rest of you at the moment, which I hate because I love theorising, but thanks for my WHDLC fic I've actually been theorising on Solas's plans, and what the Elvhen pantheon would do if they woke up and how they would react to the new world state. That's kinda what I'm interested in atm.

I'm sure some of them would try to reconquor the world, some would slink away and establish a colony somewhere, some would try to rebuild something, some would try to build something new. I'm pretty sure more than one would fall into a deep state of depression, others into anger, revulsion, disdain (like Abelas), sorry, worry, and guilt (like Solas). But with beings who are technically if not quite literally gods their mental state is of great concern to me and probably should be to the rest of Thedas (if they knew).

Tin foil hat time:

I'm also pretty sure the elves as a species/subspecies/breed are close to extinction as well. Throughout the game we could have killed three whole clans, humans are still continually persecuting them whenever they get the chance (I'm using the Chantry's response to the events of red crossing scroll you discover during the Tomb of the Emerald Knights expedition as evidence: the Dalish try to apologise while the Chantry uses it as an excuse to further incite violence against the elves despite the fact that both sides were at fault), plus there's that whole bullshit human+elf=human crap (am I the only one that has forgotten that while Fenriel was sired by a human father he still did have some elven features. His ears weren't human for starters - I remember that correctly). So in a few hundred years, with the way things are going, the elves won't exist any more. I'm absolutely certain of it. They're going the way of the Neanderthals at the moment and soon there won't be any left at all. :(

And I've lost my train of thought now. Oh well, what do you guys think?

Also, have some stupid sexy Solas. :)

Copy-and-pasted theories on the Glorious Wiki always make me think of the Harvester.  You know, all the little bits flopping together and making something awkward that's eventually turned into a well-developed boss-fight that provides scientific insight into the Blight... or...or something.

...I should probably head to bed.  <_<

Look what I just realized when trying to translate stuff:

-Hellathen: Solas [god]

-Herellan: Solas [god]

-Bellanaris: Mythal [god]

Lavellais the only other elvish word known with that sound in it. All other words with that root word in it is related to a god.

And... Lavellan deafut name is Ellana, right?

Yup! I've been flycammin' too! ^^

It does seem to be going that route, doesn't it?

Sera is probably what will happen.

The Dalish will die a relatively quick, proud death. They'll die by starvation, abominations, Templars, mobs. They're already scattered across Thedas. They've already grown apart.

The City elves will suffer pogrom after pogrom, with more and more bits of elvishness stripped away. Human lords probably destroying the vhenadahl in reprisal for rioting or just killing the Vaughans of the world.

They'll just keep pushing the elves until they conform and act as human as possible. Then, slowly, the elves will stop caring about all the abuse they've suffered. Then they'll be bred out.

Strange as it may sound, but by far the creepiest Codex entries for me where the ones about the Exalted March on the Dales. The smugness that the Chantry wrote about tearing down the shrines on the river and singing the Chant there instead. 'Freeing' the elves from their heathen gods. As horrible as the treatment of the elves has been in DA games, it doesn't disturb me anywhere near as much as that. The feeling of righteousness at destroying the People's last refuge and rejecting their religion and culture as 'misguided demon worship'. They'd have done something similar to the Qunari, or vice versa, but those were two great powers fighting each other. As hard a fight as the Dales gave, it was them against the world.

Like you say, I imagine Solas has envisioned the downfall of the Elvhen. He's probably been observing the fall for centuries in slow motion. And he probably has a plan in place to stop it.

I'd recommend a new homeland.

On an island.

Guarded by dragons.

And the Hero of Ferelden and Commander Shepard, both riding griffons.

That might stop the Exalted March in its tracks.

...Oh my gosh. This game has made me go from, "Well, the Dalish and the Chantry hardliners are kind of pricks," to "The Dalish may be pricks, but they're mini-Snapes/Morgans, everyone. They're trying, dammit!"  :(

What's the worst that can happen?

It's not like wikis can edit themselves and create a singularity of theory and lore entries and take over the Internet, now, is it?

...

... I think this is what the Creators felt like when they saw Andruil come out of the Void.

GHILAN'NAIN: "So...um...hunting new and exciting things probably wasn't the best advice to give her after Fen'harel turned her down for the dance, huh?"

SYLVAISE: "...No. No, Gilly, it was not."

FALON'DIN: "I would have gone with ice cream, myself."

Most interesting. You mIght be on to something here.

But Lavellan is the name of the IQ clan though, But her give name (the original) that's hard to ignore.

I've wondered what the mark really does with the IQ. I mean, she seems unkillable with all she's put through. The mark could be her 'shield'. And doesn't Kieran say something about 'her blood being old'.

I also still pundering the mystery of the anchors power that the IQ develops (the rift mark, opening passage to the fade and so on)

If this power trully was Solas before, could he do all these things himself or is it possible that the IQ even has become stronger than him?

Are we turning into an 'old God*?

Solas's comment about where he pauses and uses the Fade excuse, when he's talking about who you remind him of.

The balcony conversation.

I'm dying to know who he was talking about.

Better delete it. Right away. Delete everything. The wiki, the internet! Don't want anybody pointing fingers at us later for not stopping the creepy Pantheon Citadele child in time.

Edit: "child in time"... got that? Didn't even notice that. The deepest shades of purple. I'm so adorable.

It's possible I've already secreted away a copy of all the wiki files, just in case some adventurer wants to crack it open in a few years.

Don't worry, don't worry. I've got a great adviser and he said it was a good plan that had zero flaws.

You know, I had been thinking, I'm the only one that could see an scene like this happening in future sequels if we choose to oppose Solas in whatever he plans?

Solas makes an final stand against you, and if he was your friend our your lover, the Inquisitor just falls to their knees, looks at their dead friend, and then breaks down and cries. You won... but at what cost?

:) The most famous outbreak of plague, the Black Death, actually caused enormous amounts of farmland and villages to be reclaimed by natural forestation. It wasn't unknown for the plague to sweep through a village and wipe it clean, or for the handful of survivors to flee to a nearby city for shelter. Despite the usual wars, Europe looked to be entering a Golden Age during the High Middle Ages when the Black Death struck. Most of the available farmland was already being cultivated and there had been a population boom. The majority of the population were serfs, and not treated well either.

Anthrax an occupational hazard for leather , agricultural and livestock workers (and drummers!) causes boils and the spores can also lay dormant in soil for decades...

I'm actually making a world state based off that popular pizza-house-burning-down GIF.  :D

EDIT: According to Solas, neither was Val Royeaux's marketplace.

The ending of the game itself isn't what I'm talking about. I've finished the game twice already. I'm talking about the ending of the romance itself.

Same thing really. We were doing spoiler tags shortly after the game came out but at a certain point littering your posts with them becomes tedious. So now it's reader beware.

Look what I just realized when trying to translate stuff:

I wouldn't put too much weight on that. The elven language in DA is pretty basic and founded on avoiding harsh consonants, and seems to re-use a lot of the same roots.
