I have an interesting screenshot for you all.

Zoom in a bit on the elf in the middle. That's Abelas' armour isn't it?  Why can't I have that for Solas?!?

The guy is standing in the Skyhold courtyard talking to another elf about what just happened in Mythal's Temple as I am running by.

Oh, and about the DAI playing cards, there's a Reddit post with all of them pictured, and I was sorely disappointed; no Solas at all, no Cullen, lots of omissions as far as I am concerned. So glad I did not order them. I went to Ebay to look for the tarot cards, but...ugh, too rich for my blood. :P

I hope, this way it's more obvious. Two parts are not identical, but still.

It's part of a rotunda fresco, which appears after battle at Adamant.

I see. I suppose, but they're both black. Anyway, my theory isn't based on anything except that it was already black when Corypheus arrived. I thought it would be a cool idea if only certain types of people (pure of heart for example) can enter the golden city.

These songs from Les Miserables could possibly go along with the Solasmance. You know, if you have a really bad opinion of him in your headcannon.I Dreamed a DreamOn My OwnSorry if someone already mentioned these.

...I've pretty much decided that 99% of all songs ever written can somehow go along with Solasmance. Because every song I hear makes me go, awww Solas...

So how would your Inquisitors react to learning Solas' true identity?

I feel like mine would think a lot more about Solas makes sense, but she'd really start doubting everything she ever knew about the elven gods. I mean, the Dread Wolf kissed her like a drowning man, had little self control when it came to romance, once set his own coattails on fire accidentally, enjoys frilly little cakes and snorts when he laughs. So much for a terrifying trickster god.

I feel like... Katori would then be the one making considerations... I think on the one hand she would be kind of relieved just to know the truth... Once she did, indeed accept that it was the truth, which might be a hard sell in and of itself. She definitely would think it made a certain amount of sense and, because so many things about the Dalish have proven to be wrong, she would probably be able to eventually come to terms with her boyfriend being the Dread Wolf. On the other hand, it would depend on what else comes with the knowledge of Solas's true identity.

With as sweet and good natured as Solas seems, especially in a romance situation, I have a hard time picturing Solas's plans being truly nefarious. He seems wholly concerned with the "greater good". As evidence by his break up with a sure thing, someone he truly loved and would have willingly lost himself in, at least momentarily, and he traded that for the unknown path that he feels he must walk alone. He is truly a tragic (hero?) and I think that is part of his beauty, but... Whatever his plans entail... I think that is going to be what either makes or breaks Katori's acceptance.

If Solas manages to release the gods, what would the gods think of him that he has fallen in love with just a regular elf that has done great things and if he does release them, wouldn't they try to kill him or hurt him? Or even try to trap him as revenge!

I feel like some of the gods, if they're really gunning for some mega revenge, would try to use his love for Lavellan as a way to hurt him.  Looking back, I think that's one of the reasons why he "broke up" with her because he didn't want her to be used against him.  Honestly, I feel it's a little late for that as he obviously is still in love with her and she with him...

I'm guessing it won't be a pretty family reunion.

Which does remind me of a thought I had. Lets say an elven god is released, and decides he/she wants to find Fen'Harel. You'd probably scry for their magic. Only from what we can tell, Solas no longer has control over his old magic. So could an elven god mistake the Inquisitor for Fen'Harel?

Solas is already rocking the hideous punishment plaid in my game.  Does that count?

Though in all seriousness, I can see why it's hard to like the Dalish.  I find their lore and culture fascinating, and I like them as a story element, but I can probably count on one hand the number of Dalish elves whom I haven't wanted to punch.  I purposely made my Lavellan less Dalish-y so I could stomach playing her, which worked out well considering how human-centric the dialogue options can be.

I found that rather annoying, which wasn't helped by Lavellan persistently using shemlen terminology instead of elvish terms. Saying 'human' instead of 'shemlen', 'demons' instead of 'spirits', 'Fade' instead of 'Beyond'. Even some of the conversations, like the initial one-on-one discussion with Dorian, came across like the main character was an Andrastian human instead of a Dalish elf.

It's a shame, because I quite enjoyed the bits where Lavellan's Dalish perspective was allowed to be expressed, like the moment where Lavellan recites the Dalish mantra when speaking with Harding in the Emerald Graves, and her empathy afterwards when she realized the significance of the loss to him. I also enjoyed Lavellan being able to understand Solas' friend when she speaks ancient elvish, or how you can use elvish in conversation with Solas.

I feel like releasing the elven gods will be a bad idea. It just screams vengeance and mythal was already murdered what would stop whoever betrayed her to do it to Fen'Harel? The thought of him being shredded apart by his fellow elven gods makes me sad.

It's highly possible! Especially since it's hinted that ancient elves had the capacity to shapeshift, and Mythal's spirity body hopping, it's logical for an elven god to look for Fen'Harel's unique magical signature instead in their efforts to track him.

I think for Tala, she'd be pretty shocked and it would take time for her to adjust to the thought of him being Fen'Harel. She might have suspected by the end of the game that Solas may be an ancient elf but I don't think she'd expect him to be the Dread Wolf. Maybe she'd be a bit horrified at the thought that all this time, she was sharing her bed with one who is considered to be the Dalish bogeyman. I could imagine she'd even be a bit angry at him, wondering if all this time, he was just using her and toying with her feelings.

Though I do see her eventually getting over the whole 'Dread Wolf' thing, I'm just not sure if she could take in the part about Solas being the one who gave the orb to Cory and starting the whole Breach mess. I guess in time, she'd forgive him and accept him, flaws and all. I RPed Tala as someone who believes people deserve a second chance. Plus, if Solas' plans doesn't involve the destruction of the world, Tala would totally support him. (And someone has to keep an eye on him to make sure he doesn't screw up... again. :P)

You know that whole thing about "Solas-will-kill-anyone-for-blah-blah-blah"... well, I think it's different with Lavellan and it's a difference he realized, factoring in one of many reasons why he had to separate himself from her.  In the long run, I think he knows she would be the exception.  I can see him sacrificing himself over her, which I certainly don't want either because this whole martyr syndrome is way too overdone.  Anyway, I feel these are all things that Solas considered before pursuing her romantically, but he kind of pushed them to the side until they came out all at once in their final scene together, right when he was about to spill everything to her.  I think the fact that he was so ready and so close to doing that freaked him out.  I feel like he wasn't prepared for her to have such an effect on him.

That's why I can totally see the pissed off newly awakened gods going for her...
