This game taught me that the Wardens don't seem to have any ****** clue as to what is going on. They are an incredibly secretive organization which seems to even extend internally - not all Wardens know why they do what they do.  From what I gather from Solas and even Morrigan's comments in game - their "fix" for the blights could be nothing more than a band-aid and their refusal/failure to understand the mechanics of what they're doing may have problems in the long-term.  Still love my Warden though.

Glad I did not misunderstand then. :)

As I said, I like the idea of Skyhold being (a part of) Arlathan. I just do not understand how the architecture of it can feel so... "human"? Not Elven, at least. (Not Dwarven either, but about Qunari architecture I don't know anything.) I would expect an explanation for that, were Skyhold to be Elven in origin.

Morrigan said the magic is in the stones. Stones are often re-purposed. If the original elven structure was rubble when humans found it, they'd have used the stones to build according to their own needs, just the way the Inquisition is rebuilding parts of it. Could be why there's so much codex on the reconstruction?

Oh. Thanks. Then I guess I can try and put them in there. The finished ones, anyway. If the wiki decides to conquer the world and exterminate all organic life afterwards - I'm not responsible

You saying she's fat?!

I can't tell until you place her next to a human. Then I can tell if she's fat for an elf or not. As it is, she just looks petite with big birthing hips next to solas.

I think he's referencing the fact that the Lavellan's(both femal/male) in game look like they are starving to death. Stick arms and stick legs. Doesn't make sense for someone like an archer who's bow arm should be ripped as all get out. Same thing with a mage...weileding a heavy staff around. Should have some muscle.  Mims made her look like she's actually eaten some food and could conceiveably weild a weapon.

I think it's a shame that Solas wasn't there during the Wicked Grace scene. I wonder..did they invite him to play and he declined or did they not even bother? He looks like he's having so much fun in this picture.

http://mariagrantz.d...ullen-509009844

I suspect he was not invited because he has the tendency to always win. Remember if you talk to Blackwall about your companions, he tells you not to play cards with Solas because Blackwall taught him how to play a game and then Solas figured out how to win within about 5 minutes. Which, honestly, is one of the things that attracts [my Lavellan] to Solas in the first place. His ability to outsmart anyone pretty much consistently. I suspect that had he been offered an invitation, he would have accepted.

I see what you're getting at. Stop it! You know what happens when a boy and a girl really like each other: the company must find a replacement for the girl and that involves a hell lot of paper work and we really really can't have that now, can we?!

P.S.: Why is it I get loads of well-meaning replies for my silly jokes but hardly ever any when making a serious statement? I must have some really bad vibe about me.

Yeah... well... they're elves...

Solas is one, as is Sera. They look healthy. Fiona too. They were fine more or less before as well. And the concept art made them look healthy too.

It's just now that the devs decided to go all out with the anorexia. Elves are elegant yes, but not pathetic.

I totally like this. Now we only need someone to link the fungus to triggering the cancer-like disease. Can my favourite science lady here do that? (OxidantsHappen, you there?)
There was some Fringe episode about this, with a boy. Complete with "the song" and telepathic empathy stuff. We could use that, just make it more... reasonable than Fringe did. :-)

Ah, I don't know much about fungi but I can look into it further when I get home. You're talking about something like having the fungus being a vector for disease transmission right? I know vectors, but I don't know fungi. I'll see what I can do when I get out of class! From what I know off the top of my head it sounds like it could work though.

My take on it is that Solas declined. Varric would have of course asked because they seem to be...friendly.  Despite Solas clearly forming some bonds within the Inquisition(Lavellan not included) he seems to try keep his distance.  One assumes because he may ultimately have to betray them which he kind of does.  Also I think he has massive trust issues and he's really only willing to get close to a romanced Lavellan.

Yeaah, not so sure about the ingame elf proportions. My girl is a bit vain and outgoing, so I was mostly thinking on a pose/shape that would fit that sort of character.

Hmm.. only if your in a big company. The time period in thedas probably doesn't require much paper work nor a maternal package. it's likely you just leave and reapply for the job.

Because serious is boring and requires thinking. Jokes can be replied lightly andwith or without smart jokes.

Man, I wish we had Oghren pop into Inquisiton for a bit, just to see how he interacted with Solas, ESPECIALLY with a romanced Lavellan.  I can't decide whether Solas would be amused by this little perv or completely appalled ahah XD  There's a lot of characters from previous games I wanted to see Solas interact with - Zevran, STEN (man, I bet they'd actually come to blows because Sten is mega serious about the Qun, not like Bull), Anders, Merrill, Fenris... even Isabela :3  We just should've had every companion from previous DA games brought back for at least one scene with him.

SHOULD HE TOUCH THE BUTT

In origin they were pretty much human with pointy ears. I thought it was a good call to create as much separation between the races in da2. Petite, bigger eyes, slimmer proportions, and so on. Same with qunari whose only reference was bronze and now they have a variety of color and horns.

Another regard is that Solas (part) and Sera have human meshes. They are unique. Let them stand next to any npc and notice that they're bigger. You can argue that sera is human trained so she won't wear elven armour.

The TL;DR version is that the old gods are one with the taint, and it's their god mojo. The Black City kept it contained in the fade away from their physical bodies trapped in Thedas, and they whispered to the Tevinter to reclaim it. They want to be tainted to be awakened, and killing them without Morrigan's ritual may possibly just make them free to return to the fade. Or they may act as pillars that keep the world from the fade, and killing them all may be one step to merging the fade with thedas... Either way, killing them doesn't seem to be enough and may make things worse.

In theory.
