[Abelas Forever!]

I have just recently started to get back into writing fanfiction. I was really gung-ho on a DAO fic and a DA2 short story, but then went on a 2+ year hiatus after my mother's death because my writing totally dried up in the aftermath of that. It's only just now starting to itch me again, so I dipped a toe back in earlier with 2 parts of a 3-part Solas/Inquisitor short story (Links here: Part 1 and here Part 2 )
 
Chances are I could possibly write more fanfiction about DAI after the game comes out, but I'm more keen to try and get back on my DAO and DA2 fics and get them done first. Those readers have been left hanging for so long and I feel really bad about it.
 
I write in English because it's my only language. All that Spanish and French I learned in school never gets used, so it's basically all gone now.
 
If you feel like writing, you should definitely write! You don't have to share it if you don't want to or feel uncomfortable, but I find the act itself fun.

I mean, the fandom as a whole HAS been pretty good with the predictions so far (the Sera thing threw people, but they were right about Dorian being gay, The Bull being bi, even Josephine (then Scribbles) was largely speculated to be an LI even with no information.

Yeah, it's like that wisdom of the crowd thing.  Like how they reckon if you put enough people in a room they'll predict the right lottery numbers.  I'm betting on the combined wisdom of the bsn on Viv/Solas (never thought I'd say that  ).

I remember when we all waited for Solas info and some people said how he would be evil, but we pretty much got spot on with him being kind of a hermit, liking Cole, being a kind of dreamer and you know dat ass.

It's funny because before the interview and before I really cared about Solas I was so very sure that he was the bi LI and Dorian was the gay LI (even though I was really hoping the reverse was true at the time because I was so wanting Dorian), but I felt very sure that it was Solas Bi and Dorian Gay.

But now that I actually really care about Solas I find myself doubting that judgment just because I don't want to be terribly upset if he isn't an option.

And he has good posts. I like reading through them to catch up on what I missed, but I always sort of LOL when I see one with my timezone stamp of 5:30am on it and I'm all like... wow, Allan, I woke up an hour later to start getting ready for the workday.

What gets me is that even the people from the Dorian and Cole thread suspected it was them too by very little info before they confirmed it was them lol

Looking back, we were right about a lot of things that were later revealed. Allan must have been laughing extra hard at us for how much we got right. Not to say that there isn't more that we were completely wrong about, however, and still are.

He might be... the Qun kinda rejects romantic relationships as problematic and useless, or so I understand... Add to that the fact that he seems to have some PTSD issues... Even if I'm not interested in his romance (might try it on like 5th playthrough or something) I think he'll be a bit more complex than he appears on the surface.

I don't know about dramatic but I'm just hoping it wasn't tragic. I understand that there should be tragic romances like any other kind of romances but I'm not fan of them. I'm just not interested in experiencing them because I know that I will be crying like a baby and I don't like that feeling.

I'm very happy about IB being a LI. he was one of the characters I wanted as LI. but now I'm very divided. I feel a little like betrayng Varric for wanting more Solas as LI...
