AHHH I misread your reply (maybe)? Are you talking about the chat room? 

 

It's just talking various topics and helping with drawings if there is a possibility. The last two times there were drawings, we bull-sh*it critique the picture if it's posted on the thread. It can be funny like the maidan in the water with excrement around her and her face? Then we make it sounds good enough that people can take the art seriously and well-thought out. Same with the lavellan elixor. Find symbolism and all that to allow it to sound greater and meaningful. Personally really fun.

Yea I got mine a few months after release I think. I forgot how long, but they sold too quickly the first time.

 

I waited in line for hours but there were people ****** waiting since yesterday and the store only had 13. I told mother I was going to run for it lol. I was ready to fight, until they told us they were giving them out in order. Plan failed.

 

Was super disappointed. That was supposed to be my b-day gift, but they were still sold out by the time November rolled in. They were not prepared for sale at all. Rushed to the max.

wow..only 13. They should have known better!!  I got mine back in..umm...  2009 I believe. Maybe 2008...blah my memory sucks. It's the FFXII version. Came with the game and a huge friggin' hard drive that I will probably never fill. My mother bought it for me...also a birthday present.

 

Now my PS2 I got only a few months after it came out...it had so many problems...ever since then..I will never buy a first model console.

What does the Inquisitor do with the Anchor when not closing Rifts?

 

They could use it to:

use as a reading light when out of candles

lootable item detector that pulses based on distance

strobe light while dancing

Not really. I drew for like 5 minutes at the beginning then got bored and talked for 8 hours instead while attentively watched my likes increase like the karma hoe I am. So you don't need to draw, just chat.

Yeah, it's Abelas. I'm just putting layers and layers of sketching until I'm satisfied enough to place in a black outline. The red is actually my 4th layer of sketch. 

But that's neat! When you have this sort of artwork, why press it back into the stardard black-outline approach? I actually like the different layers of sketching... I thought this was what you intended to do, with occasional red to emphasise particular regions. See? I have no eye for art.

A lot of people weren't interested in Solas prior to the release 'cause "eww, bald!"

 

For those who felt this way and romanced Solas, anyway, do you find yourself now open to the idea that, "you know what? Bald men can be hot, too!" or is Solas the exception?

My horizons have been broadened, certainly. I still don't find a man with a receding hairline attractive, but if my boyfriend decides to shave his head (for science!) I'm totally all for it now. 

 

I was not attracted to any of the potential LI's actually (not even Cullen). Then I heard the welsh accent. 

 

When he told my first Trevelyan to "Wake up" my heart went "Oh f*ck" and I immediately rerolled an elf lady haha.

I really don't understand the console wars. I just like gaming. I have a PC, PS4, Xbox360, Wii u, PS2 and DSi. And I enjoy them all. Albeit for different reasons. Why can't we all just get along?

Something about black that screams final. Most just keep editting over the same sketch layer but I like to see my progress so i turn from rough sketch to less rough everytime. The problem with this is that it means I spend more time in sketch mode, which is bad because I need to work on my timing. 

 

edit: I do sometimes use pink as an outline color too.

I have a thing for bald men, but in the beginning I didn't know Solas was elf only, so I kept trying and trying and never happened, so I ended up with Iron Bull until I got to a point where Iron bull was too different to my character. I started again without ending the game and went in blind not knowing he is fen'harel. I'm hopeful that one day we'll see Solas with  full grown majestic hair.

Someone told him that all the other elven mages with the Inquisition are also Dalish elves separated from their clan for one reason or another. He doesn't have a unique backstory anymore so he has nothing to talk about. All he can do is stand there and contribute toward the shared sense of homesickness from Neria, Cillian, "Dalish", Minaeve (probably not Minaeve), assorted courtyard elf mages, and Lavellan. Ironically none of them realize that's there are probably enough of them around to start their own clan. Meanwhile Fiona is rather confused why every elven mage she tries to talk to keeps acting so distant.

Actually I thought the console vs. PC convo had been dropped.  No one was insulting anyone over their choice.  I mean, personally I love my PC.  I can play anything on ultimate/super high settings and have zero issues.  Two 28" monitors let's me to do multiple things at once, including playing multiple games at the same time.  I my PC.  That said, people who like consoles, more power to you.  Honestly I think consoles saved gaming.  So I have nothing against people who love them.  

 

Anyway, I find Solas strangely attractive.  Yeah his facial proportions are unusual and he's not classically handsome - definitely not Dorian pretty.  But still, I do find him strangely attractive.  Also, I like the way Cassandra looks very much.  If I made a male character I would have to romance her.

Over and over again. 15-20 years ago the hype was that only Linux is cool and if you don't use Linux you're no real hacker. Then enough people went for it and it was not only to be Linux, it had to be some Linux from-scratch distribution. Riiiight, build your own mediocre kernel, that surely makes it better. Ohhh those sissy Suse users! And then only Mac made the cool kids. And so on.

Metal is better than Rock. Speed Metal is better than Metal. Noise! Now, Noise is better than Speed Metal any day, only the really cool cats get into Noise.

 

Don't get me wrong, I was like that too. I understand the basic motivation. You prefer some sort of music or gengre or platform or clothing or whatever and you define yourself (most of all distinguish yourself from others) by feeling good for being a minority. And then you feel the desire to tell everybody how much you know and understand and how right you are. Superior ingroup. That's fine. I suppose we never get rid of that, or at least psychology suggest so. But do we really seriously have to argue about that here? If playing via keyboard is ultimately better than playing with a controler? That there is only one way to be and that is the one preferred by a handful of real whatsoevers?

I think, I actually preferred the sexist topic if we really must go back to arguing about different taste and individual preferences.

 

And I assume you will get me wrong and take offense in this. Maybe it even is. I honestly don't know, I just know that I am tired of following discussions that are not based on facts but simply on taste. I think that is not fair and it makes no sense. Every coice has two sides, everything has advantages and disadvantages.

Alright then I'm just going to say a few last things beacuse I really have dropped the subject.

 

First, I'm not offended. Takes more than an opinion to do that. Trust me, I'm not that easy to step on.

And I really are not judging, even if it might seem that way. I just want to understand why.

I have consoles too _{(Now you thinking hypocrite, right. I bet you are.)} both Wii _{(bought by me)} and a very old Xbox _{(my husbands before we met)}

Mostly they are for the kids and a fun thing to have around when we have guests. But it do happen that I play them. 

But for real games, I am a PC-gamer. And a highly dedicated one. My new one _{(bought and put together a week befor DAI came)} is a monster. To be honest way to expensive and advanced for what I'm doing with it today. _{(not trying to brag, promise. Just stating facts)} But since its my passion so it goes. Me and my hubby we don't travel much, we don't go to the movies or anything directly expensive - we're gamers. And of the old school too. I begun when I was ten and besides for a Nintendo it has always been PC. Maybe I'm homeblind, I don't know. I just feel that you get so much more from the games by playing on a PC with a good screen than on even a new PS4 and a 50" flatscreen tv. And I want others to see this too. Sometimes it gets a little heated _{(this wasn't even lukewarm)} and I apologize if anyone feel that they've gotten offended. It was not my intention.

Eh, I've been a console player most of my life until recently, even though before I did game some on the pc. PC is most defs superior.. I knew that even before I built a gaming pc.

Because they're competing for the same games or different exclusives. Surprisingly in the pc master race community, DS is ery well loved because it isn't viewed as a competition but cater to a different audience. which is mobile. 

 

I'm just a quiet observer but i think the younger ones switched from xbox360 and ps3 due to it spent the longest time between console generation. Because of that, the consoles began to really lag behind in specs, almost 10 years before before new gen. For now the ps4 and xbox one are on par with pc for now. Due to more frequent sales for pc, what we don't spend on individual games, you spend it on ensuring your pc parts are up-to-date.

I like to think Solas is the kind of guy who is above all this... Yes, the ancient elves were awesome, but you know what? Val Royeaux market is much better with frilly cakes than it was a few centuries ago.  Just take what you like from life and run with it, all the rest is faff and froth...

Don't worry, I was not heated up. I am confronted with worse stuff at work to actually get annoyed here.

And some things are not explained with reason, they just are. Like "Why do you love your husband". You can find reasons, but in the end it's a matter of the heart.

 

I've played on computers. But I prefer console. Does not make me a less dediated player (some people would be glad if that were true). I simply enjoy it more than playing on a computer, which I still do because a lot of games are PC only. Some I have for PC and console. I know console gaming has disadvantages (no modding tc.) But whatever reasons I would give you, the only really important one is: I like the feeling of using a controler and having the big screen.
