The ones who don't have me blocked, perhaps, lol.

I tend to think the explosion at the conclave was unplanned and this is the moment when Solas said: "oh crap, I need to step in to clean this mess". Again, this is my headcanon, I respect the contrary opinions, as I agree we cannot say we know Solas well enough to be 100% sure of his morality/decisions background etc.
Btw, how do you think the orb can be "unlocked"?
The best farming spot is Villa Muarel in the Emerald Graves. The chest in the runed key locked room usually has one or two tier 3 schematics. Plus it has an AoP for Viv and she's OP just by standing still.
I disagree. The best 'farming' area/place for schematics is without a doubt Cradle of Sulevin. ![]()
Well, that brings again the big question: when Solas could have given the Orb to Cory?
I tend to think they could have been working together on something in the past and Solas could see in Cory an idealist he once (still?) was and this is the reason why he could believed in his good intentions. After all PradaCory is being references in PW interview as a person terribly disappointed in his faith, someone who Leliana could become if she would loose her faith in the good Maker. In general, I don't think Cory ever needed to lie to Solas, I think it was again a good will turning into mediocre results, which seems to be a repetitive motive in this personage history (no wonder he becomes "grim and fatalistic", lol).
As for the orb (spoiler for size, as I allowed myself to flow)
Spoiler
Working together in a possibility, but then that raises the question of why(?)
With slumber I think he mean the Uthenera. And during that the elves did wander the fade, didn't they?
Maybe Corry said he'd help to reach the old Gods and wake them up (if that is what Solas now intends to do)
As for Solas being good/evil. Is there even such a thing? Things aren't just black and white (as Solas himself points out)
I do however believe that he is capable to do almost anything to succed on his mission.
In any event, it must be hard for him to see someone else use 'his' powers.

I have no idea. Some powerful magic, I assume. There's a lot of people here who have extensive theories on that. Maybe there's something on the theory wiki (http://virdirthan.wikispaces.com/), I don't know. You might wish to check.
I know nothing about the orbs. Quite frankly, I am surprised they are not branded to their owner. I would have done that, were I an old god. But maybe I am just too possessive.

It must be something that Corry had so with magic probably. Corry is after all very powerful on that account.

If he had Mythal building up god mojo power for him, and he gave it to Cory, then I guess it just takes a lot of power to activate... Maybe he knew how powerful he was, but just didn't know what he was capable of. I.E. archdemon blinking.
So, Mythal was plan A, but then he found someone walking around with power from the black city's taint, and a tevinter magister from the old days. So with that convenience, he became the new plan A. When he didn't die, all he had to do was reclaim it, but we all know how that turned out.
Then what was plan A became plan B. Mythal. If the gods, or just some of them have their own foci, I bet his next step is to find one.
So... things... happened while I was asleep
I... um... what the fudge, guys? That was so disturbing. I LOVE YOU ALL. ![]()
But anyway... As much as I like Solas, and see him as a kind and compassionate character for the most part, there is no question he can be ruthless as well. Sure, you can dismiss him killing those mages as a spontaneous act of rage, but.... what about Flemeth? I mean, we don't know for sure if she's dead, but the dev notes strongly suggest that she at least sees him as capable of killing her, his 'dear friend,' for the sake of power (even if he does intend to use that power for something he perceives as good). Granted, the dev notes should be taken with a grain, since they may be there more to describe how the scene should appear for whoever is designing it vs. what's actually happening, but still... Just think, if the game required you to kill one of your favorite companions just for power, how ruthless would you have to roleplay yourself to be to do it? Although, to be fair, you could also look at this way - Mythal is his friend, not Flemeth, and Mythal's godhood will live on, so there's that. *shrug*
As for Cory getting the orb - I can't begin to guess the circumstances, but Solas' dialogue does suggest that he shouldn't have been able to use it all, and any attempt at doing so should have killed him. I think in this case the simplest answer is the right one - that that is exactly what Solas intended to happen. Using peoples' weaknesses and arrogance against them to benefit himself is a very Dread Wolf thing to do, and I suspect the surviving myths at least got that part right.

Yeah, after all Solas seem to be very sursprised/confounded by the fact that Cory survived the explosion at the Conclave. He might have known that the Orb would be fine with it but thought Cory wouldn't. F* the rest/Chantry
Note to self, invest in Mind Blast. Poor Solas got Zerg rushed by the Blades of Hessarian's mabari in what might as well be a repeat of this:
I would like this if I could but out of likes haha but I really love that vid X3

Question, how repetitive do you think Bioware is willing to get?
I ask because if what I said is correct, I could see a dlc in the future about finding Solas, just like Morrigan. And we follow him through our eluvian to locate him in the crossroads while he's searching for another god's foci.
What do you think? Morrigan would probably give us the mission or something.

And it never occurred to him to think about what to do if his plan backfires? Sloppy.
Pinax, have you seen this threads wikispaces? It's all about various theories that this thread has cooked up. I'm not a member, but I'm sure someone can point you in the right direction.
I did, though I am not able to access these even after I logged in :/ It tells me "restricted access" and I don't see the content. Probably I am doing sth wrong, but what? ![]()

i don't know, it's hard to predict.
They do tend to repeat stuff from one game to another, but it might not be deliberate. After all, you get influensed by everything you experience/read without even being aware of it. It's how the human mind works.
But i doubt they'll make a complete repetion of something/a DLC that known within the same game. They'd get beheaded by the fandom for sure.
Got some more multiplayer map screenshots. These are all from the Elven Ruins map. Theorize or dismiss at your leisure~
Murals from left to right: Dirthamen, Falon'Din, Mythal. Hints at major players relevant to the near future in the series?
Dunno who these statues are meant to represent, or if they're seen elsewhere. They don't look particularly "elfy" but they're there.
Looks like a Fen'Harel water fountain thing. Someone brought up before the swirly markings that are coming out of the statue's mouth and that they could represent a sort of wind in motion. But, could they have been Mythal's vallaslin? Was Fen'Harel in magical servitude to Mythal in the past? This would explain how panicked he sounded when you ask him to drink from the Well.

You should be able to see stuff even without being logged in? And the Solavellan account should work, if I ever logged in I only used that.
I disagree. The best 'farming' area/place for schematics is without a doubt Cradle of Sulevin.
The Cradle is good, yeah, but the Villa is easier to get to and can quickly be looted and reset which allows you to get a lot of junk to sell while looking for schematics.

He looks nice here

I tried it just now since I forgot to yesterday and it says the same thing. Restricted.
I also think the explosion was unexpected, there is a piece of dialogue with Solas at Haven that makes it sounds so, the one that he speaks of the artifact used to open the breach. I can't find the dialogue in youtube, but I'm 100% certain he says it must have been an unexpected result that came from unleashing really ancient powers.

You're not doing anything wrong! Drop Madar, or someone else who is a member, a quick msg and have them add you. It's because it's private. I'm sure it's just private for the time being while they internally organize it, but the theories are still available. I would add you myself, but I no longer can. Caddius I think can add you as well. You can also login under SN: Solavellan PW: lavellan and add yourself, if you prefer. ![]()
Wikispaces may be down. Just ask Madar to look into it if it keeps acting up. She's creator and has the most total access.
