If you asked him about it, he'd probably say it was another special elf thing lost to time. Another example of why modern Thedas sucks.

Most of my Lavellans have been very boyish/jawlines that could cut rock. So I made my mage sorta cutesy : P

- Doesn't matter. They believe the vallaslin are meant to honor the gods and each symbol represents a deity, and they turn out to be correct. They just didn't know about the "vallaslin were for slaves" part, but some details get lost to history.

- Doesn't matter. They still believe they were betrayed from the inside and left vulnerable to being conquered by Tevinter since the gods didn't answer their prayers when they called out to them for help, and it turns out there's truth to that. There was betrayal from inside (though Abelas points out that Fen'Harel is not responsible for what they think happened), and those they would have counted on for help (whether it be literal gods, the nobility, whatever) when Tevinter came for them didn't help them.

- I think it's implied that Solas was the one who did the betraying for what he thought was the greater good, and now regrets it. (Cole: You didn't do it to be right. You did it to save them.)

- I don't know, I remember that conversation, and if the Dalish Inquisitor calls Mythal out for not helping the elven people even though they've prayed and prayed all these centuries, she makes it clear she doesn't think highly of what the People have become and feels her own pursuit of revenge is a higher priority. All I could think during that scene was, "Wow, Merrill was right. The Creators really have abandoned the elves."

 

I guess I'm a "big picture" kind of gal. I feel the Dalish got the big picture right even if they got little details mistaken, or find that their stories are still based on grains of truth rather than fabricated from complete lies or misconceptions, so I think their believes are fine. I'm not disillusioned at all by their past because they fully admit they don't know everything, are supplementing what little information they have with stories, legends, and guestimates, and want to learn more about their past, and so I feel open to altering the details when more is discovered. I feel like the new details we discover in DAI would warrant one taking out the Big Book of Dalish Information and penciling in the new facts to go alongside the old ones, not cross out the old ones to make room for the new ones.

 

I didn't get a negative vibe from Flemythal at all during that conversation, if anything she seemed quite sad to me, I felt because she actually couldn't help, not because she didn't want to, perspectives eh? lol

I assume he did not know where she is and how to contact her. Or even that she's still alive.

Probably already been answered as usual.

But when asked about his journeys in the Fade, Solas has said he's visited Flemeth's shack in the Wilds in the Fade, only to find it empty, but everyone living around it still too terrified to visit it. This could imply he was just curious about the Witch of the Wilds, suspected it was a Creator, or outright knew it was Flemythal. But it sounds like he tried finding remaining gods first before handing the orb to Corypheus. And he certainly sounds impressed in the Temple when he says, "So, Mythal endures."

So I think he suspected she could have survived in some form, but he's surprised by how strong she's remained.

I've decided that Solas just doesn't feel his toes anymore. If you stomped on them, he wouldn't even notice. 

 

I guess that takes care of the horrible possibility of stubbing toes. Man does that hurt. 

 

Edit: @Sashimi - I've seen it speculated that all the elven "gods" were very powerful spirits who basically manifested themselves as people. Kind of like Cole does on the human path.

In reference to Cole, doesn't Solas say he has never seen anything like it at some point?

That is, a spirit coming through the veil and becoming human.

Also I just remembered, in the Cole/Solas break up banter Cole says something like 'You're real, that means everyone could be real. It changes everything but it can't'. Someone had tweeted Weekes or Gaider about it asking who Cole was referring too and they said it was spoilers they weren't ready to go into.

Haha, my girls are like that. The male Lavellan I made has a rather girly/typical fantasy elf narrower jawline and chin. I don't really do it on purpose. It just happens that way, which I guess is cute in this case because he's totally going to romance Dorian.

Solas says Cole might actually become human and he hadn't thought to see it.  Then Cole said, when did you see it before?  Solas said he didn't say he had.  Then Cole apologizes and says it's harder to hear now.

 

From that I take it that Solas had seen it before and Cole picked up on that but Cole thinks he heard wrong because he finds it harder to hear people now that he's less a spirit.
