Actually thinking about it Solas should  be a reverse Sour Patch Kid.

I think the Solas love possibly confuses some trolls because he's not a typically good looking character (like Alistair, Fenris or Cullen) so they can't use the traditonal 'women only like games for the hot men' argument.

 

Late to this convo, but in the case of these kinds of trolls, Solas secretly being Fen'Harel is the WORST thing that could have happened. I foresee a lot of hate towards Solas' fanbase and claims that they only like/care about him because he's really a trickster god and these are like the crazy Loki fangirls.

 

Honestly, there ARE a lot of fans who only jumped on board because Solas turned out to be the Dread Wolf. Maybe they weren't interested in him before that. But so what? I hate this idea that there are certain reasons for liking a character that are less legitimate than others and that those fans are automatically shallow for liking someone for x, y or z reason.

 

But back to my original point, we're not ever going to be able to escape that. Strap in, folks, because I predict that the "Solas and his fans suck and they only care about him because he was revealed as a god" train is going to start chugging along strong. 

 

Edit: Also I find this idea particularly hilarious because I remember when we originally got leaked information about Solas' true nature. Almost none of us were happy about it and we wished it wasn't true. So much for only liking Godlas.

That I have no clue where it comes from / what part of the game they are from..but then again my first playthrough I was a dunce and zoomed through the main story line and finished before level 20. This time around trying to punish myself and not go through all the main storyline all at once and drag Solas around with me to -every- zone, quest, achievement, etc. Kind of his punishment for what he ends up doing and was wondering if any of you lovely people know what quest/zone this is from?

This comes after you do the quest where you visit that cult in the Hinterlands and get the breathing potion from that elf there. Once you turn in the quest, if you come back with Solas and speak to the kid again he'll have something to say.

It's the one from the Hinterlands with the sick woman; her husband asks you to track down their son, who is the only one that can make the potion. He's with the cult that worships the Fade rifts and Solas says this if you ask him to convince the kid to go back to his parents (after he makes the potion and you give it to his father).

I know what quest it is but I forgot the name. Basically the mother is ill and only the son knows the recipe. So the father asked you to goto his son for the recipe. The son is with this andraste cult in Winterwatch Tower of hinderlands.

Good, I'm glad Solas says something there because I wanted to, especially when Hyndel tells you to hurry up and deliver the potion instead of going himself. edit- the name of the quest is Shallow Breaths
