Just got caught up on the thread again...

 

Team Rocketsition!? Yes, please  Love Cass' expression there... it's like she's just super humiliated to even be included!

 

No news, no news... I think it's to the point where I don't even expect anything anymore.  And I want to keep being excited about the game and the characters, but the waiting and the speculation contest are kind of souring me on the whole thing.  If it weren't for this thread I'd probably just be taking a break from the forums completely other than a brief update check now and then.

So sorry to hear about everything you've been going through.  Just know that anytime you need to talk or vent, or just squee and laugh at stupid memes we're here for you  Yes, it's just a game, but it can also be a source of comfort and escape... a long time ago I went through a really tough period and being able to go explore a certain place called Morrowind instead of dwelling on the bad seriously saved my sanity.

@Dr.Doctor  I'm so jealous right now to those that can play Destiny, cause I've been wanting to play that for over a year now and they won't have it out for PC gamers which really sucks.

I hear you. My computer just caught on fire and its how I pay my bills, sister died two weeks ago and I just got diagnosed with Parkinson's. So, I'm bummed. I need something right now. That's how desperate I am for smiles lol. Sad I know.

Otherwise I'm going on black out till release. It's just a game. I know. I'm just having a sad right now.

Hey there. I'm new to the thread, and we haven't talked, but I wanted to let you know that I'm thinking of you, and sending you my thoughts.

 

It may be just a game, but these games can provide an escape in times of hardship. Dragon Age Origins was the game that got me through my father-in-laws death from brain cancer. My husband had to go to the funeral by himself because we couldn't afford two plane tickets. It was one of the toughest weeks, and I played the hell out of DAO during the nights, while being a mom to my amazing little boy during the days, and taking classes for a second career on top of that.

That game saved my sanity.

Hopefully it's worth the decision I made to buy an Xbox One instead of upgrading my PC. While I can play Destiny and Inquisition, those are really the only two games coming out for it that I'm interested in. I've never played an FPS with a controller though so the first few days might look like this:

I grew up a console gamer, so I actually prefer controllers. But lately I've been transitioning to PC. Mostly because all the fun indie games are there, but also because a) I have no real desire to purchase a new console and b ) I have to have a nice computer (capable of running new games) for work anyway, so I might as well use that and c) Graphics are more customizable/usually better on PC.

Just wanted to say that we're all here for you, I know how a game or a few people who can make you laugh can keep you from practically going crazy and ending up in a dark place, one thing I learned from those moments is that you're always stronger than you thought you were, and I hope we can give you a bit of comfort and a smile on your face with our silly ramblings  *big hug*

I'm so sorry. I was very ill for two years. I had surgery to remove a tumor and then I had to do rehab. At that time, a friend gave me Dragon Age: Origins because I spent a lot of time in bed.

Maybe it's just a game, but I think anything that makes you feel better, is good. I hope you get some kind of good news soon.
