If you would like to go on discussing Bianca, how about a smooth transition? Like "What do you think is Solas's opinion on Bianca?"
(I find this a rather interesting question, actually.)
...she continues to surprise him ![]()

I think he would be kind of harsh about her initially - like he was with blackwall - but then we would realize ''eh...i can't really judge her for what she did because i kind of screwed up too.' she's trying to make up for it and provides useful information. he also seems to appreciate people trying to learn and seek out new knowledge, so he would respect her for what she tried to do. he approves if you keep people on as agents - like alexius and samson. they're useful. their knowledge could serve a greater purpose and help more people in the long run despite what they did.
I don't mean to be mean but they're simply not compatible... Yes, they're both dwarves but Dagna is a chatty extrovert and Sandal is virtually non-verbal. So I stand by my yuck...
He would probably approve of her attitude, seeing as it stays so close to the Dwarven nature and that she ultimately fought against being tied down to someone else's wishes. He may even understand her wanting to know more about red lyrium, even if he'd chew her out about her methods.
(Also 100th post! I'm celebrating with actually giving myself an avatar.)
It took this thread to make me realize that Sandal and Dagna were roughly the same age. ![]()
Solassians!
It appears there is another patch for the PC version. No patch notes, but there's a patch all the same.
My little Warden brother is so grown up now!
Honestly, I love the rival relationship between sarcastic!Hawke and Carver. He really does not get his big sister at all, and she just spends her time making bad jokes and trolling him.
I know it's off topic, but I always like hearing about people who liked Carver. I thought that the relationship between Hawke and Carver and/or Bethany was just as compelling, sometimes more compelling, than the romantic relationship stories. I'd love to see the DA story depict a familial relationship again; that was done so well, imo.

Huh?
Origin version is up-to-date. Nothing new here.
I love Carver. I'm an only child IRL, so getting to experience the cranky sibling dynamic was a lot of fun for me. And Warden Carver is one of the best things about DA2; I was so very proud of him.
Fiona I just generally loathe; I can see why people might like her as a character, but not me. Bianca I like, but I honestly think that has more to do with having a VA crush on Laura Bailey than Bianca herself. She does have some dialogue with an artificer PC that helped me warm up to her too.
(Entirely off-topic: I managed to drag myself out of the Dragon Age hole this weekend. No fanfiction, no playing DA:I, no nothing, thanks to Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments. I highly recommend it as an antidote to wallowing in Solavellan hell.)
I LOVE Carver too! I didn't used to, but something about his character really clicked with me during one of my playthroughs along the way. I think he's one of the most realistic characters in Dragon Age and his dynamic with my Hawke, his sarcastic jerk of a brother who rivalled him, is amazing.
I don't get why everyone hates Fiona. I've barely paid any attention to her and I didn't read whatever book she's in, I guess? Can someone explain? Unless it would cause arguments.
Edit: Whoops, that's a double post. That's actually never happened to me before.
I have a sister IRL but I've also always wanted a brother so in a way, I sort of get to experience that through him. xD I do like Bethany too (she's a sweetheart) but I found Carver more interesting. And yes, I was very proud of Warden Carver by the end of DA2. *wipes tear from eye*
Edit: ToP Solas
ahahha epic XDDD
Speaking of Sera.. I just finished the Temple of Mythal and went to speak with everyone back at Skyhold (I'm delaying speaking to Mr. Egg as long as I can xD) and I went to speak to Sera and she was all weird saying how all that happened is BS and such and pointing an arrow at me etc. I never saw this before cause this is the first time I drink from the well ![]()
Anyway.. Does anyone know if anything in particular happens if I decide to take her to the Altar of Mythal with me? Will she change her mind at least a bit or have some doubts? (I don't think so but decided to ask in case it is worth to take her..). If not who do you think I should take? Do they even say anything? XD
*Eherm*
I hate Carver ![]()
Maybe because I'm an older brother, lol.

Depending on how Lavellan reacted to Bianca, I imagine Solas could feel a little guilty or hesitant. He is essentially Lavellan's Bianca. She just doesn't know it yet.

I'm not so sure. Solas seems pretty keen on judging others for the same mistakes he had made.
Aren't we all a little like that?
I am. I know my husband is. My mom was the queen of it growing up.

Probably because he's thinking of himself. Mad that he's been reminded of it, because he punishes himself internally.
Which is why I think Mims would be right.
Oh, yes. Very much so. One of my biggest reasons for loving Solas is that I find him terribly relatable.Aren't we all a little like that?

Please ignore this if you're already feeling sad or if you don't give a damn about my problems (which is perfectly fine).
Here's a question: why does Solas disapprove when a mage inquisitor chooses to follow the Rift Mage specialization to advance their own knowledge?

He actually approves. He disapproves if you say you do it for power, I think.

Possibly because they are closer to finding him out???

I must have misread. I will double check when it comes up again for me in the next day or so.

He recognizes when he's projecting onto others, though. Like he does when he apologizes to Blackwall.

Spoiler
Cute cheerful Solas art? Good not-sad songs? Solas' butt?
I'm so sorry. I don't really have anything to distract you with, I'm afraid, but know that you have my deepest sympathies.
