I've been wanting to get my hands on some tarot cards, but I have no idea where to get them T_T Are they for sale on the Bioware site? Or do you have to get them somewhere else? 

 

 

I think they came out with the boxed inquisitor edition and that's it. I want them too.

You might have to find someone willing to part with it that has the Collectors Edition.  I don't believe those are for sale separately.   But if you're curious - it has every character card/version and then a lot of the codex ones. It's a full tarot deck. 

 

 

You gotta ebay them from people who bought the Inquisitor Edition and broke down their chest. That's what I did. It's a painful blow to your wallet, but I regret nothing. The cards are beautiful.

I haven't seen the tarot cards for sale in the BW store but I just ordered the DA:I playing card deck. Closest thing I could find.

 

 

I don't suppose they've got a Solas card in there? I might have to get myself a deck. *HOPE RENEWED* 

 

 

I get it this week. Just ordered it over the weekend. I'll upload if there's anything good but I'm guessing Solas is in there. I saw Dorian and Morrigan in the deck photos.

Just wanted to tell you all, I have the Inq Ed, and was SO disappointed when it got here. 2 of 4 map markers were broken, the coins and the Inquisitor's symbol are cheap plastic, the "journal" is some smelly faux leather, as is the "case" for the "lockpicks," the "quill" isn't even a real feather, nor could it possibly be used to write with, the interior is (instead of silk-like cloth as they advertised) flocked plastic inserts...and the ONLY reason I didn't return it was the Tarot cards. Essentially, I paid $190 for a set of tarot cards and the game. Ok, the map is so-so, too.

 

So when you see the cards on Ebay for way too much money, it's because folks are trying to recoup the loss they took on the rest of the box set.

I hope you read those last two lines. Cause they're DELICIOUS. Yup. Ohhh yup. 

 

Tyrdda Bright-Axe, Thelm Gold-Handed, battle brought with blade and ax, 

• Cue battle scene. Tyrdda vs. Thelm Gold-Handed. He's using a blade while her axe is.. well a staff as we know to be the truth. So to be honest? His blade could totally be a staff too. They've lied about one weapon's nature, I wouldn't put it past the author of this poem to lie again.
• Interesting thing of note is... they're not bringing their armies/ warriors into this fight sequence. It's just the two of them. Which leads me to believe, this ALSO occurs in the Fade. But this fight is dangerous to both of them because as Dreamers, they can be killed in the fade.

Thelm in mail and shields of silver, shining sheen to turn attacks.

• Thelm, while associated with gold up to this point, is now wearing silver. Silver is less valuable to gold and is perhaps a way to symbolize Tyrdda seeing through Thelm's gilded show to wealth to what he really is, second-rate. Powerful, but nowhere near what he presented himself to be.
• However, it's clear his silver armor/ shield is capable of turning Tyrdda's fire attacks.

Blade of dragonbone, now blooded, warrior throats wrung raw with cheers,

Tyrdda stands, her bright ax blazing, leg still weeping battle-tears.

• We are now introduced with the material of Thelm's weapon. Dragonbone, And both warriors' throats are raw from their battle cries (cheers I believe was chosen so it could rhyme with tears).
• It's clear that at this moment Thelm appears to have had the upper hand, having scored a slice across Tyrdda's leg. BUT SHE'S NOT GOING DOWN EASY.

Bright the ax of leaf-eared lover, laughing lady of the skies, 

"North to warmth, and golden cities, 

Whispers speak in Dreamers' ears!"

• Tyrdda at this moment, calls upon the power of her divine staff gifted from her elven diety lady love, and cries out as she unleashes this power blast that she will not be swayed by his whispers to her in her dreams of warmth and gold cities!

Silver scorched, the liar flies 

On raven's beaks, to dream unwaking. 

• Oh, oh yes, you read those two line right. You most certainly did. Your eyes do not deceive you. 
• On raven's beaks? Who else has been carried on raven's beaks? Drum rolllllllll... CODEX ENTRY
  

  THELM IS DIRTHAMEN, BITCHES. And after being beaten, he fled into dream unwaking aka uthenera.
  Certainly explains why the Watcher statue attibuted to Dirthamen is bleeding profusely in Flemythal's section of the Fade. She's making that effigy PAY. Cause, honestly guys if you haven't picked up on the leaf-eared Laughing Lady of the Skies being Mythal by now, I feel like you might need to sit down, drink some hot cocoa, have a nap, and try again.

I apologize that my analysis is getting more colloquial as I go on, but it is way too late/ early in the morning for me to be writing more than three syllable words with eloquent syntax.

 

It's when your diction gets less colloquial that you need to go to bed. I've done late night literary analysis before and for me the progressive indicators that I need to go to sleep are 1: I start alliterating in very pedestrian sentences, 2: I'll finish sentences in French and have a better understanding of the language than usual, and 3: I start getting clever with the meter of what I'm writing, luckily this just means the conclusion of my essays flow better than the actual statements being made.
