The ending we wanted
Hahaha!
The utter silence followed by the sudden music was perfect.

Abelas, my love! I would have NOT questioned this at all - as a player. I would have been like 'BEST ENDING EVER'. I love his grumpy butt too much.
Hahaha I love these images! Caddius... you are Roman at heart, aren't you?
<Snip of greatness>
Maaaybe...? ![]()
I wouldn't fit in with the Romans, as fascinating as I find them. Or the Greeks, for that matter.
What's wrong with Stoicism? ![]()
And to be fair, a lot of Romans weren't that impressed with Stoicism. You get things like Caesar's wonderfully bitchy put-downs to Cato. ![]()
But actually I imagine Tevinter is a lot more patriotic than we'd expect. Dorian is a patriot, though he's disgruntled with the Magisterium itself. I don't really see any country that's faced annihilation at the hands of their enemies, especially a fellow culture absorber like the Qun, without having a very strong sense of self and sacrifice for one's country. I can't help but headcanon the Tevinter generals as being Stoics and determined for their country to survive, regardless of the Magisters' machinations and self-destructive tendencies.
Kind of like the Imperial Intelligence and Army guys in TOR, sick of dealing with the Sith's crap. ![]()
As for the she-wolf thing, I think there was a discussion earlier on that.
About how Mongols, Turks, and Romans are some of the only groups I can think of that portray wolves positively in the Eurasian sphere. Though I'm sure there are plenty more that I don't know about.
The quote that made a young me very sad reading about the Peloponnesian War and Athens:
"The strong do what they will, and the weak suffer what they must."

Athens, darling, what happened to your idealism?
Solas sounds really cute when he says "My friend" to my Dudevellan. X3
Yeah it is really cute. Puts a little smile on my face when he says that to my m!Trevelyan. ![]()
I'm attempting a Trevelyan mage- Cullen romance playthrough with Dorian and Vivienne as my main mage counterparts, but I miss Solavellan a lot. Cullen's romance is well done, it's just... you know.
Cole's still coming with me, though. Vivienne can suck it.
<snip>
I'm having a problem trying to use different companions from my usual party. I never really used Vivienne on my Lavellan PT but even in my warrior Trevelyan PT where I'm friends with her, I don't even use her even though I want to try. I just can't NOT bring Solas, and Dorian is usually my secondary mage. Sorry Viv, I guess you'll just have to be the benchwarmer of the group. ![]()
And I really have to try out the Cullen romance someday. Maybe when I finish my Trev PT (which might take forever because I'm making such slow progress on this PT).
You guys have such detailed backstories. I'm just like "she probably liked the woods maybe."
Out of likes. xD
Edit: Also...

The ending we wanted
HAHAHA!! Oh my! I really didn't expect that! xD
Ok. I have a question (that has probably been answered before)
It says that Dirthamen and Falon'Din were twins but IIRC someone said that wasn't true, but they were brothers, right?
Only asking for art reasons... ![]()

There's a codex somewhere that says they were "twin souls" ... not a romantic relationship but a purely elven connection and they may not haven been twins. Eh I'll see if I can find it.

They're described as 'twin souls'.
So. Um.
I think someone did them as similar but opposite. One with white hair, one with black. That could work?
Maybe go for similar but not quite twins, and have a difference in posture and apparel to really make them stand out? *shrug*
EDIT: Sergio? Wait, Jon Hamm? WHAT IS THIS FROM I MUST KNOW!

It is not known. They are both 'sons of Mythal and Elgar'nan', described as twins and twin souls. But there are texts that do not describe them as brothers. Scholars [in lore] debate on whether or not this means they were literally brothers, lovers, or some sort of 'love' that has no equivalent in modern culture.
All we can say for sure is that they were bizarrely close.

Found the Codex ... #64 under History: Twins in Shadow. It says that scraps of elven stories refer to them as "twin souls" but draw no family connection and often don't even name then directly but refer to Falon'Din as "Dirthamen's Shadow" and Dirthamen as "Falon'Din's Reflection".
Please tweet this to Patrick, I think he'd love it XD
Aww I don't have a twitter D: LOL I want to see his reaction, though!
The Solas romance really does make me weekes in the knees ugh curse everything...

Ok. I just wanted to get it as accurate as possible if that was clearly stated.
This means I have freedom to draw Falon'Din as I please...
