So,  if there is a DLC in the pipeline and GDL is aware of it... do you think that it means that we're going to get post ending DLC with Solas as part of the first DLC??? or maybe there is a play anytime dlc on the way... or maybe they always planned for a Wolfhunt and booked GDL knowing this?

 

It would seem strange to have approached VAs for anything other than the most imminent dlc no?

Or maybe they are negotiating contracts for DA4?

I honestly wouldn't mind a DLC kinda like Leliana's song that either shows what he did back in the day of Arlathan or what happened between waking up and the conclave. That is assuming that our Inquisitors get to see him again in a larger DLC or DA4 and with proper treatment.

He's delightfully tipsy at Halamshiral.  He mentions how the servants keep refilling his glass; I'm pretty sure he wasn't emptying it into a flowerpot or anything

I know the feeling. I swear I spent 6 hours in the character creator (finally went with my third try) and the whole time all I wanted to do was start the game already. It was torture. I'm so pleased with how my girl turned out, though. The elf tarot card was what inspired her colouring. 

 

And all of this talk of Halamshiral is reminding me of how much I loved Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts. I felt like such a badass during that mission, and not in the way that you usually do in video games. One-upping all of those snooty Orlesians at their own game was supremely satisfying. That'll teach you to call my Inquisitor a Rabbit.

It's implied that he's a bit tipsy - he keeps saying the elves keep refilling his glass. Plus that stuff he says about sex and power - it's a little more...upfront...than he usually is.

Hi again fellow Solas fans!

 

I've finished DA:I some time ago, but I didn't have time to write here, although I've been reading the thread for some time now. Now that I can freely join the discussion, I must say: this game is amazing. And a large part of it is well, Solas, of course.  A few years ago, when I played DA:O, I was thinking about elven gods and what they really were. The most fascinating was always the Dread Wolf (I always wandered what his true motives were if he really did that). And then DA:I happened... I'm positively surprised, I never expected to actually have him as a companion! And such a brilliant one! Just wow!

 

As for the DLC - I wouldn't expect a post ending DLC just now. Maybe as the last DLC or an expansion, but not just yet. There will probably be a few DLC's that take place during the game. Solas and his mission are too important to be dealt with so quickly. ;-)

Usually I'd say he doesn't drink at all, but he gets rather sloshed at the ball. It's pretty great.

 

Of course, Solas being Solas, he still has a pretty good hold on himself, but he's way less inhibited than he usually is. Plus, if you listen closely you can hear him slur a bit.

 

 

His cheerful little "hunt well!" gets me every time.

That is a good question. What would Solas' drink of choice be.  I have a feeling it would be something sweet.  Like a good dessert wine because of his love of frilly cakes.  As cerebral as he is, I have this image of him being the most delightfully prissy eater.  Cakes, little finger sandwhiches, sickeningly sweet wines.  I think it would be something my Lavellan would sort of mock him for.

Well, saying either yes or no would be giving away BioWare's plans so I doubt GDL would say no straight out even if he wasn't recording lines. Provided that BioWare told him to keep his mouth shut even after the game was out. 

 

There probably will be, though. I never doubted that at least one DLC would involve Solas in some way. The only thing I wonder about is how long it will take for it to appear. It might well be one of the last DLCs for DAI released, if it has to do with his future plans.

 

Things like this make me wish we'd have another Awakening type expansion but they already said that wouldn't happen again.

That is an excellent question! Now I want to go down to Skyhold's booze cellar and see which of the Bottles of Thedas might be a good fit.

 

And the idea of Solas being floored by a couple glasses of red because he hasn't had alcohol in a thousand years is rather adorable.

and High Five to my fellow Terrible Females! I wander around in Graphic Tees (usual videogame ones. About to purchase a Dorian quote tee awwww yisssss) and boots. My hair is always a mess. I only do enough make up to cover the ugly and never to actually look feminine. And I loathe having my nails painted, much to the dismay of my nail varnish obsessed BFF. That woman could fill a room with all her nail varnish. Madness.

Although I could probably do the same with my videogame figurines. That's a normal thing for a grown woman to own, right? Riiight?

 

I wish they'd do some DAI ones. I have all the Mass Effect Funkos and they're so cute. I would throw all my money at Funkos of the DAI companions.
