Maybe I'll just bring Dorian then, and no rogues since my Lavellan's an archer. It makes more story sense to bring Varric (for Hawke) or Cole (since he knows Adamant), but I already killed Hawke once with Varric present...and oh god I don't wanna do it again.

Solas is the biggest jerk and kind of unhinged during that entire questline. I love him best during it. He's angry at the Wardens, angry at you, angry at you for asking ABOUT the Fade, freaking out about the Fade. He's just so...mmmm. I don't like angry murdery Solas. I love angry passionate Solas - when he yells at Sera about her half-hearted attemtps at revolution....nnng.

When he told my fem Hawke "Fenris is going to die, just like the rest of your family and everyone you ever cared about." My heart definitely stopped...but his voice was rather awesome.
I enjoy my male aggressive Hawke's response to that; "I'm going to enjoy killing this thing."
I'm going to miss having his grumpy arse with me. Oh Elyan. I hope Bioware aren't going to kill off all the Hawkes that go to Weisshaupt.
I also love Solas if you bring Cole. Solas is having a BALL. Cole is having a nervous breakdown. You as the PC are like "Um...how am I supposed to feel right now? Everybody is freaking out."
I brought Cole the first time I played this and decided I wouldn't do that again. Poor Cole 
I get to enjoy almost everyone freaking out back at Skyhold now though. Aha. Yay! But this is where my headcannon makes Niamh go from being all sweet to er, really emo. BRING ON THE ANGRY RESPONSES!
I haven't recruited the Wardens with Solas in my party since I first played this back in November. I forgot about his disappointed Sigh. Shuddap Solas. You sound like my dad.
Hopefully this time I won't get all the Wardens killed during War Table missions. Did anyone else accidentally do that?
While I don't think Solas is the Black City, you DID remind me of a screen shot I took at that Emerald Knights temple...
That Black City Mural/ Carpet has a larger golden circle encircling another, as does this one. I think someone stated that Thedas also had two moons?
This mural might be of Thedas. My only question is whether THE FADE or THEDAS is at the center. The Black City Mural/ Carpet seems to hint that.. the Fade is at the center. And that physical Thedas encloses it. And there's either moon on each side.

I really just get this barely controllable urge to make out with him right in mid sentence and I kind of wonder how he would take that... Would he be like... "Nice. My girlfriend is kissing me now." Or would he be like "hold off, woman. I'm trying to say something important."

He'd probably be like, totally into the kiss - for a few seconds. Then he immediately ends it to remind Lavellan that she should listen to him because duty and knowledge comes first. All based on how he acted in the scene in Fade-Haven.

Solas in the Fade is amazing. He goes full-on Miss Frizzle, complete with a whole "buckle your seatbelts, kids!" speech.
In fact, I think I remember it verbatim. Something about, "Prepare yourselves for what is sure to be a fascinating experience." Just the way he says "fascinating"... Same as when he uses it in the mage flirt line. 
I also brought Cole and Bull along (full compliment Team Weekes!) so nobody except Solas was happy to be there. Bull's line makes me crack up every time.
Bull: *grunts* This must be a dream come true for your crazy ass

Solas helping Cole through his panic attacks was so sweet, too.
Also, fun fact about the Nightmare, apparently that's what happens when Patrick Weekes tries to write a villain. He needs to write more of those. The snarky taunts are fantastic.
At which point, my Lavellan would probably give him a snarky smile and then kiss him again... Okay...hnnnnng... I need to stop... Or research this idea some more... You know... For science.

I miss the ability to randomly kiss my LI that DAO had. It was sweet and a very good way of annoying Morrigan.
