Solas in the Fade is amazing. He goes full-on Miss Frizzle, complete with a whole "buckle your seatbelts, kids!" speech.

In fact, I think I remember it verbatim. Something about, "Prepare yourselves for what is sure to be a fascinating experience." Just the way he says "fascinating"... Same as when he uses it in the mage flirt line.

I love that quest. It's my favorite.  I know a lot of people hate it because of the arbitrary decision at the end, but everyone in it is just fantastic.  The lead up to it.  The internal crisis with the wardens and watching two games of hero-worship be set on fire. Watching Clarel just break down, sacraficing herself and still realizing that was not enough.  Ugh...gut punch.  Then the Fade and Solas nerding out which we've established is great.  The Nightmare. The graves - "Solas WHY?"[also I wish we could address this with our companions, could have been a nice moment of love and support].

Both, probably.

I miss the ability to randomly kiss my LI that DAO had.  It was sweet and a very good way of annoying Morrigan.

I was hoping that something like this could be added with player mods, in the same way that could be done with DA:O, but I fear that while modding while help correct (cause really, the in-game hairs are not a choice, they are a mistake) our current content, we may never be able to add what we desire.

I was just thinking about that. I miss it, too. I was also thinking "if the reason they never gave Solas a kiss you could do anytime at Skyhold was because of cost, can they make a patch for one NAO please? Since they apparently had such a successful launch and all....

There's a lot of things I'd love to be able to address with my companions but the grave fears are top of my list.  I think it could add a nice moment to each of the romances, too.

All of the main quests were amazing, and so very different from each other. Here Lies the Abyss just blew me away. I've always loved the Fade. It's a shame we didn't interact with more spirits/demons in there though. The spirit of Command was one of the highlights of Crestwood for me.

Spirit: I am Command!

Solas: *muttered* Or pomposity.

I really wish we could've commented on the graves, too. I got this awful gut-wrenching feeling when I saw Solas's. More than any of the others, I think that was the one that affected me. Second-most might've been Blackwall's "Himself". Or Iron Bull's "Madness".

Solas' and Iron Bull's made me cry. I really wanted a special scene of each of them commenting on their graves. :(

Yeah, Bull's made so much sense that I just wanted to hug him. He was in my party, too. :( Dammit. I instantly felt guilty for bringing him along.

On one hand I did want to be able to talk to companions about their fears. On the other hand, I kind of understanding not being able to. It's kind of the thing people don't just wan other people coming up to them to talk about.

I'd quite like it if you could talk to your LI about their fear gravestone, at least.

Speaking of, I'd love to know what everyone's favorite story quest is. In my case, it has to be in Hushed Whisper. It packed such a punch emotionnally. Seeing your companions dying from the red lyrium. Leliana having none of your **** and telling Dorian to shut up... and then all of them sacrificing themselves for you. When the demons threw Solas body in the room, I started crying. I can imagine my poor Quizzie having nightmares of that scene for weeks afterward. Seeing Solas die like that O_o

Yes.

In DAO, during the Harrowing quest, you come upon the Spirit of Valor, Sloth, and of course Rage,  which as just awesome because they had "personality".  I feel like often, the demons(spirits) you encounter now are mindless killing machines, and it feels very one-dimensional.  I loved the Spirit of Command in Crestwood, too, and how if you bring Cole, he reacts to it, and the spirit to him.

The Nightmare had personality (not to mention dat voice), then of course, coming upon the tombstones, with each of your companions worst fears... I just, remember trying to click on them repeatedly, in a vain attempt at garnering a scripted response from my party members.  I SOOOOO hoped, at that point, afterwards I could have a post-quest conversation with them to ask them about it.  NOPE.

Let me down, just like when I let Josie accidentally KILL MY CLAN that one time, and no one said a freakin' peep.  I was like "What does a girl have to do around here to get people to feel badly for me EVEN once?! HAVE MY MOTHER TURNED INTO A ZOMBIE-BRIDE?!" /pants

I got the sense that not everyone was able to see what was on the graves. I mean, why is the Inquisitor not able to comment on them? Maybe because the only people who are able to see the graves with their greatest fear is the person themselves. But the player gets to see them all. Same reason why the fearlings look like spiders but are hinted to appear to be different to the others.

That also explains why nobody else comments on the Nightmare's words to your companions except them. Maybe Solas is seemingly saying "Banal Nadas" into thin air.

Here's an interesting question. What would be on your Inquisitor's grave?

My Lavellan's greatest fear is failure. For obvious reasons. That glimpse of the future where Corypheus succeeded deeply affected her. She saw Solas and Cass and Leliana die to save her, after having been tortured for a year. All because she hadn't been there.

I think demons with personality is one of the reasons I hated killing Ishmael.

Ahem. Choice. Spirit.

I wanted to chat with him more.

I'm super annoyed because I planned on three hours of Emprise du Lion map completing tonight and xbox live is down.

Tumblr it is then.

Also: What my favorite quest is? Main is What Pride Has Wrought for history and morrigan and Solas feels.

My favorite side quest is....Cradle of Sulevin. God that place is so beautiful.

Here Lies the Abyss.

The Inquisition finally gets to show off its army. Cullen's snark about the castle having been built before siege engines. Battling alongside our Warden friend and Hawke and Solas, Cole, and Blackwall. Blackwall calling out the Wardens on not being true to the legend he has about them, all while carefully not really lying. (Solas must have given him lessons.) Clarel's trouncing of Erimond in a duel. The Red Lyrium Dragon snapping up Clarel, only for her to turn a humiliating death into one the Hero of Ferelden would praise. The Inquisitor entering the Fade, with party. Solas. Nerding. Out.

Nightmare. The dialogue. The fascinating Codex entries. The Spirit of Justinia. The boss fight. The hidden fears. Calling the Wardens out on their nonsense and either exiling them or conscripting them.

All of it.

Weekes has this dreadful habit of writing my favorite characters and missions, in ME and DA.

My girl's tombstone would probably be something like 'cowardice'. Her biggest fear is someone realizing that underneath her sarcasm and bravado, she's actually terrified and uncertain.

I'd love to be able to do this so I can get some context about Dorians (Temptation). Temptation from what? WHAT? I MUST KNOW!

You kinda do with Sera. Sera doesn't see Spiders when the little terrors come along. She see's what's written on her Tombstone. Nothing.

(and not The Nothing from The NeverEnding Story which is so what came into my head when I read her tombstone)

She tells you this when you talk to her after Here Lies The Abyss if you brought her with you:

"And I saw nothing. Nothing. There were like, little empty things. Like there was nothing in the dark. No point. Stupid right? That shouldn't be scary like it was. I'd have taken spiders."

Hi guys, I'm new here.  Couple things...

A)  You're all awesome, and I've really enjoyed reading this thread.  It feels like a safe place after my recent introduction to tumblr seeking Solas feels.  Those were not the feels I was looking for... *cringe*

B) Forgive me if this has been pointed out, but has anyone commented on the Fen'Harel eyes staring at the black city?  I've had this long thought that the Black City is a blighted reflection of Arlathan, and it's where the other elven gods are all trapped.  Seeing those triple eye things staring at it like this is rather telling.

I've never taken Sera with me, so I've never heard this!  Interesting!  Still, would have liked to have had that with everyone, ESPECIALLY Solas.

Blah, for some reason I can't quote on this computer (at the uni library).

@Moondreamer01: I loved In Hushed Whispers as well. I think that was the turning point in the story for me. Goddamn that was a good quest. So many feels. Especially Solas feels. I kept saying "I am so so sorry" to the screen. And then when I got back to haven I went straight to Solas to talk to him. And I was able to nerd out with him about time magic and then flirt with him a bit. It was the best.

@AryBoBary: That was always why I liked the mage origin best. Valor was hilarious, and I always loved winning Sloth's riddles. I also might've had a bit of a thing for Mouse the first time I played. I liked how it felt like we were in this together, and that I was helping him get his confidence back. Then that reveal at the end made my jaw drop. But you know, with all of this new info about spirits and demons, I wonder if Mouse could've actually been a Spirit of Wisdom... Whoa.

@Avejajed: I wanted to talk to Immy more, too. He was just the right mix of affably evil. I wish he'd been around for that whole mission, perhaps vanishing every time you got too close. It seemed really anticlimactic when I finally got to him and then immediately had to fight him.

Oft yes. Definitely failure. Especially as the Quizzy is thrust into so many different roles and situations. I mean, if it weren't a game it would be pretty stupid to chuck the only person able to close the world threatening rift out into mundane situations with just a handful of people as back-up. In reality, you'd be carting them out with half of your army.

Hah! Ironically, I get strange 'The Nothing' vibes from Nightmare. He's just this massive growing force, feeding off of dreamers.

I know that Gareth David-Lloyd is in a band. Does anyone listen to them?  Do they have any nice, soft ballad type songs?  I have a migraine again and I would love to listen to Gareth's soothing voice right now. Maybe I'll just watch some Torchwood.
