I think demons with personality is one of the reasons I hated killing Ishmael.
Every time someone misspells Imshael's name a baby nug dies.
You bad, bad people.

Here's an interesting question. What would be on your Inquisitor's grave?
My Lavellan's greatest fear is failure. For obvious reasons. That glimpse of the future where Corypheus succeeded deeply affected her. She saw Solas and Cass and Leliana die to save her, after having been tortured for a year. All because she hadn't been there.
At first I thought my lavellan's greatest fear would be failure, like yours. Thinking about it more though, it probably would be abandonment...... Yeah... probably shouldn't have started romancing Solas then. But the feels.

I know that Gareth David-Lloyd is in a band. Does anyone listen to them? Do they have any nice, soft ballad type songs? I have a migraine again and I would love to listen to Gareth's soothing voice right now. Maybe I'll just watch some Torchwood.
Well they're a progressive metal band, so probably not the best thing for a headache. ![]()
Here's one of their more melodic songs, though. I love the whispery vocals at the beginning.

That's why I always call him Immy.
Calling a powerful demo- er, "Choice Spirit" such a cutesy name is hilarious to me (and it also pisses off my friend, so bonus).

I am always spelling Imshael's name wrong. It doesn't help that the quest for him is 'Call me Imshael', which is a reference to the Moby Dick character.

Random Solas and Lavellan art I just found on Google. I haven't seen these shared yet, I just might have missed them. All safe for work.

I really wish the game had begun with you waking up while being cared for by Solas. Finding out that he'd been the one who took care of you while you were unconscious gave me so many feels. Especially after I found that codex entry that says that he defended you from being attacked by people who were frightened of the mark.

Speaking of, I'd love to know what everyone's favorite story quest is. In my case, it has to be in Hushed Whisper. It packed such a punch emotionnally. Seeing your companions dying from the red lyrium. Leliana having none of your **** and telling Dorian to shut up... and then all of them sacrificing themselves for you. When the demons threw Solas body in the room, I started crying. I can imagine my poor Quizzie having nightmares of that scene for weeks afterward. Seeing Solas die like that O_o
I really love that quest. Dorian, Time Magic, and THE FUTURE. Come on, it's awesome.
The problem is (which I am just now discovering on my first Templar siding run that has actually made it to Skyhold) that Calpernia>>>>Samson.
I love her sidequests and look forward to getting to chat once I get to the Arbor Wilds. She's a really interesting character instead of being just that annoying dude from DA2 with pimped out armour.
It's reasons like this that I have 2 canon states and not just the one ![]()
Here's an interesting question. What would be on your Inquisitor's grave?.
For my Male Lavellan? Something unexpectedly sappy. Like Abandonment or Loneliness. Because underneath all his sass and humour, is just a man that wants to be loved

For the Female Lavellan I'm running with right now. Niamh's greatest fear is Losing herself. She's proud of who she is and where she came from, and thinks she's got it all figured out. DAI and Solas romancing isn't too kind to the proud Dalish folk
So slowly but surely her fear is just coming true as the game progresses. Which is why she is transforming from 'Sparkles and rainbows and unicorns!' to 'Burn it all to the ground' as the game goes on.
She is my 'Gremlin' inquisitor. So fuzzy and cute, then someone went and fed her after midnight.
(I have weird TV/Movie comparisons for all my canon Wardens/Hawkes/Quizzies in my two world states. Unikitty Surana is a particular favourite)

I love how grumpy Solas gets when you ask if he's familiar with this area of the Fade. "Why would I willingly come here!?" I DON'T KNOW SOLAS. YOU ARE INTO WEIRD CRAP, SO I THOUGHT YOU MIGHT KNOW, OK!?

@Moondreamer01: I loved In Hushed Whispers as well. I think that was the turning point in the story for me. Goddamn that was a good quest. So many feels. Especially Solas feels. I kept saying "I am so so sorry" to the screen. And then when I got back to haven I went straight to Solas to talk to him. And I was able to nerd out with him about time magic and then flirt with him a bit. It was the best.
I'm a little annoyed that I didn't take Solas with me on that quest. It was so near the beginning and before I really paid much attention to him.....
I didn't become Solas obsessed until after Haven got destroyed.

Me too! The music that plays during the Alexius fight is my favorite battle music in the game. All the main storyline quests are pretty fantastic actually.
I love the Haven fight as well. Getting to rescue some of the characters, like the blacksmith and herbalist is was a really nice touch. I definitely feel 100 times more heroic playing the Inquisitor than I ever did with Hawke. I lurve Hawke, but her life is rather depressing (there should have been a way to save her mom, grrr!)

IIRC there was going to be a way to save her, but in testing literally nobody chose the sadder option of having her die. And they wanted the quest to have a big impact on the player/Hawke, so they decided not to implement it.

It...really hurt seeing him in that quest. Especially because he didn't even seem to care that he was being eaten alive by red lyrium. He was just so happy that the Inquisitor was there, and that there was a possibility of saving everyone.
And then realizing that he'd spent that entire year alone in that cell knowing that all of this was his fault.
If you want to see what he says, then I recorded two versions of the scene where you meet future!Solas.
"You would think such understanding would stop me from making such terrible mistakes. You would be wrong."
Ow.
Oh! where do you find that codex entry?
It's in one of the houses in Haven. I think it's a journal entry by the apothecary about your condition. It doesn't outright say "Solas saved the prisoner", but it talked about "the apostate" being the only other person in there with him and the Inquisitor, and that the both of them creeped him out. And then he talks about the house being attacked and needing to remember to ask Seeker Pentaghast for some guards in case it happens again. So the implication is that Solas scared them off.

There's nothing in it to say Solas defended Inky but that is now my headcanon.
