He's totally pulling a Shakespeare, being cruel to be kind D:  He's kind of already done this stuff (giving "mixed signals") so I don't see how him visiting Lavellan in her dreams would be any different.  I can definitely see him doing it, if only to see her "one last time."  Not to fade tongue it out, though; I doubt he'd give himself that.  But he'd very conflicted in regards to the romance throughout.  We never have a clear moment (except the ball, I suppose, even though that's for every romanceable character) where he's simply just "happy" to be with her.

We do though - the famous butt-grab. That was the moment he was just about to say '**** it'.   That's the only time you see him not desperately clinging to her in a kiss. It's more gentle. He's about to sink right into the relationship.  He pulls back and smiles and then it just goes to hell.

Anyway, I'd say it's yet another hint at the lyrium being god or spirits related. He'd be even more sensitive to it because of his god soul.

In my post-game head canon it always involves some of them saving each other life.

 

I admit though, thus I admire the people's lovely and amazing HC I read about here, my imagination on my PCs always limits to: "yeah, something, oh, this could be a cool scene, but when? why? and when...? oh, whatever, let's think of a cool scene and not really worry too much about the logical details". So: my Lavellan nor any PC has a background story, future plans, she's always a hero of the moment.

 

So as for potential future... Don't know... always imagine this somewhere in Deep Roads (I don't know why I somehow tend to turn into Deep Roads when I try to imagine the future ways of DA:I heroes. My intuition tells me all replies lie in Deep Roads) and...

 

Version 1: either Lavellan/Inquisitor gets trapped in some really dead end situation (no idea: cornered by countless darkspawn, meet face to face the new archdemon rising or sth of this calibre ) and then suddenly appears the Dread Wolf ex machina (who's exploration also brought in the area) in all his glory with new Flemythal powers and ideally shape-shifted and blows all the enemy party to hell.

Solas: Inquisitor, what are you doing here? (Thinking: This was supposed to be a path I was supposed to walk alone for eternity!) Are you all right?

Lavellan: I'm ok. Thank you for saving our lives, but I think you owe me some explanation on what the hell just happened here.

 

Version 2: our hermit apostate in a dead end, likely less darkspawn around (because... come on!), but generally "this does not look good" situation. Luckily, our brave Inquisitor explores the same ruins and gets on a right time to take opportunity to save the Dread Wolf's ass. They join forces in a moment and... yeah, that's a good start for a conversation, once all is over.

 

In both versions either epic boss fight, either a mindblowing cut scene ))) I know this most probably sounds extremely stupid - I appreciate I have some romantic inclination into crazy heroic moments, you know, help coming out of nowhere, storm and lightning, and ideally some sexy epic battle scene

 

Gosh, if I could draw I would certainly draw something like this: always imagine a scene with shape-shifted Dread Wolf defending Lavellan unexpectedly from certain death.

Oh, also, lyrium is a bridge right? For mages, it brings them more magic. Why, does it just add to them somehow or does it reinforce their connection to the fade when a mage drinks? So what if he hears nightmares because of the old god's connection to the fade being strengthened. He's seeing the dreams the way they would.

 

Who knows what those nightmares could tell of...

That does seem to fit with his character more. He's made this whole thing of "I should stay away from you, but I just can't." I don't see why he would stop now.

I haven't swooned over anyone in a game since Alistair... it's been a while.

I totally agree with those who say that watching him in motion is what attracted them first. In his promo picture, he was barely a blip on my radar. he seemed bland and frankly weird looking. But once you actually see him in game, the expressions on his face and the way he moves (that veil-fire scene, damn!), combined with his voice... I was riveted and couldn't look away. Which is weird to say of an animated character, really. He has charisma I think. And I kneel at the feet of whatever team did his animation as he's so real-looking it scares me sometimes.

 

I saw he was bald and was like "nope." Then I heard him speak, and watched him walk, and...and....Yep. He got me.  

Agh all these cats. I had a bad cat week. My dad had to put my cat to sleep on Monday. My mother adopted him for me as a present when I was 16, and he was just a little yellow baby barn cat. He grew up to be the most empathetic and sweetest cat that ever existed. He was 17 and had a good life. I miss him. He was very soft.

I got the scene to trigger between Loghain and Morrigan by editing a save file. If you are playing on PC, and if you want me to, I can let you know how I did it.

Doesn't sound stupid to me at all. I rather like the idea. I always enjoy seeing people's interpretations of events and hopes or expectations for the future. Whether or not they match up with what I believe. I'm always open to suggestions.

Yeah, I don't get why some people are unhappy at the fact that the inquisitor has to wear the PJ..
I mean, Skyhold is home, and at home, you wear something comfortable. She/he wears the armor all the time.. give the poor quizzy a break!
Plus all the others also wear their comfortable clothes..
Think about Lavellan going to visit Solas in full armor when he's wearing his hobo clothes XD that wouldn't make sense..
Or a Cullen sex scene when he throws stuff out of the table and you're like "wait, I have to remove my chainmail first!" 



Ok that the PJ isn't looking great, but honestly, no one looks sexy in their pijamas anyway!

I made Solas look a bit startled because I'm entertained by the idea that he either didn't expect the dip, or didn't expect it to be that deep. He often says the Inquisitor is hard for him to predict, after all.
