I have never successfully Rivalmanced anyone or had anyone as a rival...I'm too nice, lol! I really want to rivalmance everyone at some point since I love the idea of rivalmances and disappointed that we can' really do that in DA:I. So, even though the only sides of Seb I have seen are the "MAAAAAAAAAAAAKER NOOOOOOOOO" and the "Blah Blah Blah, Andraste...blah blah blah arrows...blah blah blah I was known throughout the Starkhaven taverns." I still prefer him over Thom.

 

I played the rival paths for Merrill, Anders, Carver, Fenris, and Seb on my various playthroughs of DA2, and TBH I think the fact that they're challenging and contentious makes them more interesting than the friendship paths sometimes.  Though rival!Anders is just the saddest thing ever.  I love Fenris's rival path too; it basically amounts to drinking buddies who call each other out on their bull**** and won't actually admit they're friends

Well, I have a theory that the Anchor might connect the Inquisitor to the fade regardless of mageiness. Over the course of the game the mark might grow stronger and perhaps it even gets a boost in power after being in direct contact with the orb? The result; lucid dreaming in the fade.

Ooh that's a good point. I considered the "portal to the Fade" thing, but I kind of got the impression from the game that it wasn't something the Inquisitor could necessarily do at will. But the Anchor does seem to have some kind of generally Fade-related power, so that would be pretty plausible,,,

Alright @Colonel....I just started a male Lavellan for Cass (cuz ya. Got a big ole lady crush on her ). So! Sorry for this being off topic (but last time I asked a question in the Cass thread, it took almost a day for it to be answered ), but how do I make sure Cass doesn't end up Divine. If she does regardless, then I will have no one else to blame but Samhal Lavellan (assuming you may know how to avoid. )

Hey I hear people say that based on your decisions, she can become one by default. I haven't seen that with her, but I did see it with vivienne. On that playthrough, I conscripted the mages (cass approves in dialogue and the points, compared to other choices which are inconsistent) and I kept the wardens rather than disbanding them. I also chose to work with gaspard.... Lol I don't know if you'll want to do that, but I don't think any of that matters. Just stating for the record.

 

The only thing I believe actually matters is that you support cass from the beginning in dialogue when this stuff comes up, if you want her to be divine. If not, tell her there's other ways to help without being divine (I think I actually said this to her, lol. I was sadface and reluctant.) Say that and it won't matter if you support her after or not. I even told vivienne that I agreed with her about Cass, and that Cass would make the best divine. It still gave me vivienne.

 

So like I said, tell Cass that there's other ways of helping without being divine, and to be safe, tell vivienne you think she'd make a good divine. LOL she likes that a lot.
