My Adaar and Solas have a weird bromance. I've got crazy high Solas approval because of his major world choices, but they disagree on a lot of little things. Solas being Solas, and Adaar being an easy-going dude, their relationship basically boils down to "You're a little crazy, but you're mostly all right."
Also the first time I charged into battle with the Spirit Blade like an overeager puppy, Solas dropped a barrier on Adaar. I could just imagine him facepalming like a cranky dad in the background while Adaar yelled cheesy battle cries ![]()

Ugh, I'm so way behind this thread.
Depressing over being rejected a psycholigical profiler job. So for now it's only books, games and drawing to do. I am miserable.
Aw *hugs* Hang in there! Hopefully other opportunities will arise soon!
On-topic: I love you guys.
I come home slightly grumpy from work and get lots of lovely Solas pictures, fanfic links, and even a Lavellan rap! (I had to read the rap aloud because it was that awesome.) ![]()

It reminded me of the dialogue he has with blackwall "Children don't understand unless you shout at them" I love the way he said it, like if he's already taken care of other children..... (Thinks of the slow arrow)

Usually its ice with lightening bolt and some passives..half of the spirit tree..full rift of course. Now that I am building a rift mage of my own..I hear fire synergizes well with the rift tree. Vivenne gets fire/lightening just like I build my own Knight enchanter.Quick question: how do you guys build Solas? I always level him (and all the companions) automatically and let the AI take it, for that reason he is generally a electricity and spirit mage. Dorian is fire, Viv is ice. Do you guys do it different?
Dorian with fire and static cage.
On the side note I can never build a nice character on the CC. Seeing everyone's characters here I am so jealous

The story makes it clear for me that inquisitor and Solas will meet again. But I wonder about something.
The feelings for the romanced, or the respect-gained inquisitor are known as true. When he crushes your pride in the break up scene, he tells you that you cant help him and that "you'll see" why, so at this point we learn that he only needs you to find the foci. And his plans will have enough impact for you to learn about it.
That is exacly why I really wonder about the anchor importance. I dont think it is the Key, I believe that it should have been the powered foci. If inquisitor has his key, why leaving ? Enable to create another one, staying and using inqui would be his best option if not the only one.
And l said that he has true feelings for the inquisitor, but, we saw how far he is now willing to go to continue whatever he has to. I believe that invalidate the lovely reunion and the excuse that he just dont want to manipulate you because of his principle.
Even if I want a Wolf-hunt-give-back-ma-gear dlc, I dont see it happening, or only as some kind of poor content.
I'm pretty sure you'll meet him as the head of an important organisation, and nothing else.

Oh, since it's M!lavellan time, here's my baby, romancing Dorian.
Yeah, I'm totally into platinum hair
-snips the adorable M!Lavellan-
Your M!Lavellan looks similar to mine in some respects! I went for the platinum hair in this style, and even the same vallaslin. Unfortunately I can't show him in such excellence since I play on a last gen-console (I really need to upgrade), but here he is for comparison's sake...albeit in utter potato quality.

Ok. If the inquisitor still has Solas's key, I find drinking from the Well even more interesting. (But bioware can make big things into little details, OGB for exemple).

Even if the Anchor is foci, it lacks full power, which renders it useless for Solas. And I picture him hate using Inquisitor to reach his goals.

Spoiler
They are alike indeed, however I went for less prominent nose tip and bridge, aiming for Lavellan tarot

Dorian Pavus is a beautiful, wonderful, amazing man who is actually made of magic. I'm just sayin'
Honestly, if there had been no gating I would have gone for Dorian my first playthrough. There's just something about the men Gaider writes that always pulls me in. But yeah, Dorian's only interested in men, and Solas was damn smooth, and now here I am.

I could see Solas being tempted to manipulate an Inquisitor he dislikes based on his disapproval dialogue, especially the dialogue about the Well.
But someone he loves? Someone who earned his respect? I got the impression that taking Mythal's power was a last resort for him, something he really didn't want to do but had to, and he went to great lengths to recover the orb before resorting to that. I *hope* that he'd take the same pains to avoid using the Inquisitor, especially if he loved or befriended them.

From what I gather about his character, it's not about like/dislike, it's about freedom of choice and freedom overall. To use Quizzy is to violate her/his freedom.

I keep seeing these flowers. Where are these flowers coming from?
I found a tumblr post regarding the flower crown: http://prismavore.tu...er-crown-helmet
Apparently it's called "Ardent Blossom" and it's either a random drop item or available via Cheat Engine.

MFA in Illustration Practice at MICA! My thesis is a Saturday morning cartoon animation pitch about a group of motorcycle couriers on a colonized planet who get empowered by the gods of the Zodiac to defeat an ancient evil incubating beneath the surface.
EDIT: in short - everything you thought was badass as a kid plus... all of the lore-mongering you've come to expect from me. It's like if Sailor Moon, Chrono Trigger, Shadow of the Colossus, and Greek Mythology had a love child.
I would love to read this

I have to go with vierra. Solas does not believe in the loss of freedom of thought and choice under any circumstances, not even to those he dislikes. So, I agree that if he did absorb even part of Mythal's power to control the drinker of the Well, and if he does end up using it in a future game, I get the feeling Solas will have gone to great pains to avoid doing it, and will only resort to it when he feels reallly desperate, like he has no other choice, and feels the consequences of not using it will be far more dire than if he had.
I get the feeling though, that if Solas does resort to it, it'll clue the player in to just far he's fallen, just how much his pride and desire desperation has consumed him, and clue us in that Solas needs to be stopped and/or redeemed, for his own sake as much as the world's.
